  1. Are you on drugs?? Why would we need ANOTHER WR?? We already have Evans, Owens, Parrish, Reed, Hardy, Johnson, Jenkins, P.K. Sam, C.J. Hawthorne...
  2. Funny how these people are nowhere to be found. Job well done, OBD.
  3. Definitely, definitely trade down. Do NOT draft a WR anywhere in this draft. We are not short young talent at that position. DE is #1, TE is #2, OLB/LG after that, maybe look at upgrading FS and adding depth.
  4. Not sure why everyone is trying to get rid of Roscoe. If he doesn't work out in the passing game (which I think he still can as the #3 or #4), he's arguably the best punt returner in the game. Everyone settle down. If the FO wants to trade a late-round draft pick for Waters then so be it. Regardless, I think we should still grab Kendall Simmons - if Waters comes too, then he's good for depth. We have the cap space.
  5. Jason Taylor doesn't want to come to Buffalo, trust me. Unlike TO he hasn't worn out his welcome elsewhere either. I think they need to make a move for Sheffler or LJ Smith and then address everything else through the draft (unless they can trade for Peppers, which again, I find highly unlikely).
  6. Would you like me to get you a piece of paper for your written apology to Mr. Wilson??
  7. No problem. It's all about torque... Chris McAlister is an aberation. He was also one of the best CB's in the league proving that he was a special talent. Name me a 5'9" safety in the league besides Leonhard (average) and Bob Sanders. Also, my money says if you took the average height of safeties vs. the average height of CB's you'd see that safeties are about two-three inches taller on average. Aside from Bailey and McAlister I can't name any CB's over 6'0". I can name about ten safeties (John Lynch, Brian Dawkins, Adrian Wilson, Darren Sharper, Rodney Harrison, S. Taylor, L. Landry, L. Milloy, M. Boulware, Chris Hope, Donvan Darius, etc. etc.). In fact, a bunch of those safeties are better than 6'2". For the real challenge, name me a corner that's 6'2"+
  8. So we're having a terrible free agency because we didn't sign Baker and Canty? Seriously? I don't buy that. I would have liked to have made a run at Baker, though. I'm hoping Ben Watson becomes available with that signing or we make a run at L.J. Smith.
  9. Do you ever wonder why there are a plethora of sub 5'10" CB's in the NFL, and only a handful of 5'10" safeties (the only one I can even name is Jim Leonhard to be honest with you)?? Ever wonder why they moved 6'4" CB Lenny Walls to FS?? It's more important as a CB to have some pivot in your hips than to be tall, trust me. Safety requires less athleticism and McGee is very, very athletic. This is an awful idea.
  10. Right on. Schobel will be three years removed from a double-digit sack season. We should go get Hargrove back, work on C. Ellis, draft E. Brown or Orakpo or trade for J. Peppers, and consider a late-round pass-rushing specialist like Lawrence Sidbury, Jr. out of Richmond in this year's draft.
  11. Here's another thing. The Panthers are in salary cap hell with the Julius Peppers situation (http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/chatESPN?event_id=25331), and they want to shop him. Would you rather we be in the running by packaging a few draft picks or have spent a fortune on some mediocre free agent like L. Coles? Exactly. There's a long way to go in free agency, people...
  12. He didn't rub me the wrong way, he just spoke the truth. People are all over this board complaining that the FO isn't doing enough, saying we should have overpaid for Coles (who's extremely overrated) or made a run at Haynesworth (that must be some sort of joke, I have to assume). Everyone thinks they're a GM. Well people need to relax. The FO is actually handling this offseason very well. Billy Beane of the Oakland A's says "we have to be contrarian in everything we do." Not sure if Buffalo can manage that, but they can do their part by not throwing tons of $$ at mediocre FA's (i.e. Kelsay, Dockery) and getting us back into salary cap hell.
  13. This is one of the worst ideas I've ever heard. McGee is a 5'9" bad tackler. He's also a very good corner. Why would we move him to FS - where his height becomes a liability - or SS - where his tackling becomes a liability? Terrible idea.
  14. Really? What about Jason Peters? What about Marcus Stroud? What about Aaron Schobel when he's healthy? What about Langston Walker? There's talent there, trust me. And also trust me, no one was clamoring for bringing in a Peppers or a Suggs more than I was, but you can't just throw a ton of money at average players (see: Dockery, Derrick). Again, there's is a ton of talent: McKelvin, Parrish, K. Mitchell, Poz, Whitner, McGee, etc. The problem is with the coaching. And we need a pass rush. And I'll be happy to take the over on 3-13 and give you 10-1 odds.
  15. No, it wouldn't.
  16. We don't have a single player in our front seven equipped to play the 3-4. You're talking about a two-three year overhaul at this point.
  17. I'm not sure what you guys want them to do? Blow a ton of $$ on Laveranues Coles? Was he the savior of the franchise? There is a ton of talent on this team, believe it or not. A lot of it is coaching and how well Trent performs (it's Trent or bust this season and next, like it or not). They are a DE or two, a G, and a TE away from being a serious playoff contender if they could simply not coach themselves into oblivion. Once they determined DJ was coming back we were doomed to a season of mediocrity. Overpaying for mediocre free agents would not have changed that and would have been stupid.
  18. No, what position does he play? Shortstop?? 'Q' is good, that's for sure. But he's not Moss (now or then). He's not TO from two years ago. He's not Fitz. I'd love him on my team, but I'm just sick of a guy who year in and year out asks for a trade (Anquan Boldin Asks Arizona Cardinals for Trade.....Again). He's a great WR, but asking for a trade in three of your six seasons makes you a headache I don't want to deal with, and Rosenhaus is icing on that cake. But thanks for suggesting I 'do my homework.' D-bag.
  19. You can only get so many people reps, even during training camp and workout programs and such. We should concentrate on the guys we have for that (Hardy and Johnson), and maybe bring in a veteran #2 for right now. I wouldn't mind bringing in a guy on the downside of his career (Toomer, Galloway) or an unproven veteran (K. Washington) to compete, but a total project like Meachem which will also take a draft pick is out of the question.
  20. Yeah, but some are more than others. Boldin is a poor man's TO in that category. He's been whining and bitching about being traded for three years! I don't want to put up with it and I hate hate hate Drew Rosenhaus. Plus, he's only looked as good as he does thanks to having Fitzgerald on the other side.
  21. You're crazy. I don't want anything to do with Boldin's constant complaining, and I like Lynch, despite recent issues. He just needs to get his sh-- together.
