Bills inquired about Jason Taylor
Leonidas replied to Tortured Soul's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You guys are all nuts. Taylor had a freak calf injury that could have killed him, then he had to learn a new defensive scheme while battling the injury. There is no contest between Taylor and Schobel at any point in their respective careers; Schobel is a solid pass rushing DE, Taylor is a versatile, nightmare DE/OLB who could find himself in Canton when all is said and done if he has a few more solid years. I'll take Taylor five years ago, last year, next year, and the year after. Mark my words, if Belichick gets him, and he's asked to rush the passer (rather than drop into coverage) he will put up double-digit sacks. I would take Taylor in a heartbeat and let him start opposite Schobel. No "situational pass rusher" - he would be the starter. But Fingon is right, he won't be coming to Buffalo. He'll sign with a team in Florida (Tampa or Miami come to mind; maybe Jax but I doubt it) or go to NE. -
It won't affect it at all. Peter's has based his demands solely on the contract of #1 overall pick Jake Long so it doesn't matter what happens otherwise. I'm still amazed at the fools on this board who just repeat "just pay him" over and over...

I'd be quite upset getting a young Mike Williams with the 11th pick. That's also the least of what bothers me about your signature. Why are we drafting any WR's?? Why is Sidbury, projected prior to the Combine to go in the 6th-7th round, now a 2nd rounder for you?? And trading Parrish and a 5th rounder for Vernon Davis, then going to the H-back...just plain stupid on multiple levels. And when is it going to evolve?? The draft is in three weeks and you've had this half-assed list compiled since I joined TBD back in February.

A Sleeper Who is Perfect For Us
Leonidas replied to TheBuffaloBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Running a 4.89 on a track for a smallish-DT isn't all that impressive (if he ran that on the turf at Indy I'd be more impressed). 36 reps on the bench is, though. He could be a 5th-7th round pick. -
oooooh gotcha!!

haha, that is true. Of course if I was representing the man then my entire argument would be different...
-
So we're taking him with our first pick in ths hopes that he's good at a position he didn't play in college? Oh yeah, I like that idea. And you'll have to excuse me, but it's a little difficult to take anything you say seriously with your signature. I don't even know where to begin with it so I just won't.

Yeah, J.P. Losman was "capable of dominating a game" at QB too, too bad it didn't happen all that often. If you're going to demand to be overpaid by that much you should dominate every game, not be capable of dominating a game. Or is that just not all that popular now either?? You mean demanded to be the highest paid player at his position when his play didn't warrant it? I'll go with "Jason Peters" as my answer. Oh did you mean previously? Is it not good enough that he's setting his own precedent? And please don't ever compare him to Bruce Smith. Bruce Smith was a top three DE in the history of football. Peters wasn't a top three OL on his own team this season.

Yet he's tying his contract demands solely to Jake Long's over-inflated contract. Interesting...

What the hell is a "farking asswhole"?? Douchebag...

hahaha, is that jax bills backer?? come on out over there... YOU are a RETARD... -
This has already been addressed and it's something I support. But when it was brought up the last time all these Rams fans who are also offensive line gurus (how fortunate) came out of the woodwork to talk smack about a future HOF LT who only gave up 2 sacks last year in 14 games.

RUMOR: Big curveball coming in with our first pick
Leonidas replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, it doesn't. Not at all. The FO is obviously comfortable with Trent, that's why they brought in Fitzpatrick - not Garcia or Leftwich - to back him up. With all the holes that need filling, if you needed a QB it could have been done during free agency. They won't draft a QB at all, much less in the first round. End of discussion. -
T.O.'s love affair with Toronto
Leonidas replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Black people don't like hockey and it's been a long, long time since the Buffalo Braves played a home game. Something tells me T.O. isn't itching to see the Buffalo Bandits play either. The Buffalo Blizzard is defunct now, right? -
You obviously don't live in Boston...

Wow. April Fools. Hilarious. You're a douche.

Where is your outrage here?? http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=86145 I understand the differences, but both are barbaric. Google "ultimate surrender"...

Ahh, okay tough guy. I never said I wrote my senior thesis on Bad Newz Kennelz? Look to my first post on the topic. But far be it from me to enter a discussion without thoroughly researching it, especially since the subject matter is so important to the Buffalo Bills and football in general I told you plain as day where I was coming from, you were the one that took the moral highground. I've seen enough of that in my Catholic upbringing; I'll pass, thanks. For the record I happen to think dogfighting is wrong and the torture of animals is deplorable. But it needs to be put in perspective. Not sure what "hundred" second chances you're talking about. I'm also not sure how the positive marijuana test is relevant at all - if I was facing two years in Leavenworth you bet your ass I'd be lighting up too. But you should be more enraged at people like Rae Carruth, Leonard Little, OJ, and Sebastian Janikowski. Why? It doesn't stop anyone here from talking about their evaluation of talent...

Peters to Eagles Potential Trade Discussion
Leonidas replied to BillsNYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry bud, but without other picks thrown in, this is a horrible deal. If Philly really wants someone at #11 and Peters then they'll have to do better - like I said before, the two #1's, a second rounder and another pick in the second day. -
Russ: Bills / Peters remain far apart
Leonidas replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's a difference between negotiating with him and caving in. Anything close to what he's asking for is nuts and I hope the front office realizes that. That being said, you make it sound like we've gone after all these offensive linemen who have just busted which isn't even remotely true. We've strayed away from drafting offensive linemen the last few years (for some reason), but we've hit on a lot of other picks (that was my point). I'm sure we will focus on it a great deal at the draft later this month. -
Are you serious? Have you seen Vick play? For all of his transgressions you cannot say he's not talented. He is the fastest quarterback in the history of the NFL (he ran a 4.36 at his rookie mini-camp). He had unbelievable arm strength, well above average for an NFL starter (think Cutler arm strength). At times, he was able to make very tight throws. His agility and quickness were unparalleled and it gave defenses fits. As someone else pointed out, for whatever reason his head wasn't in the game and he couldn't hack it from a mental perspective. But talent was not something he lacked. Ahh yes. You calling me a dummy is certainly going to keep me from getting any sleep tonight. I'll skip over the politics (for the benefit of keeping the board sports-related and politics-free) and just say that Vick hasn't killed or tortured any human beings. And since you seemed to skip what I last wrote (are you related to KnockOut30 by any chance?), I'll say it one last time: the part of the article I referred to: "Vick initially told authorities 'while he assisted Phillips and Peace in the killing of the dogs, he did not actually kill the dogs,' but 'helped Phillips toss several dogs to the side,' according to the report" meaning the initial report - including the initial articles on ESPN and other networks - suggested that Vick, while funding the dogfighting, didn't have a hand in the actual putting down of the dogs. In layman's terms, that doesn't mean I read only the first part of the article but rather that the previous articles written on this suggested Vick only funded the operation. Capiche? Do you understand? Is there anything I can clarify for you on that front? Let me know, I'd be happy to help out. And on that last part, if he hasn't paid his debt to society, then why is he a free man? Isn't that the premise(myth) of our prison system? Once you've done the time you have paid your debt to society? Or does Shanahan's Horseshoe want to impose his own arbitrary sentences??
