  1. John Hopkins?? Is that you???
  2. Maybe you should get "up on the technicalities" before proposing an idea then. He might very well be put on the PUP list, but how does that help your case? Have an extra roster spot for the first six weeks? This whole conversation is stupid...
  3. You do realize that when you put a player on IR he can't practice with the team, right?? His second season becomes a complete wash. Worst idea yet.
  4. Legitimately one of the worst articles I've ever read. "John Hopkins is the night city editor of the Tonawanda News." Is that like being the night janitor? Does he have to mop the floors when he's done 'writing'??
  5. I would take him as a #2 QB/freakshow gadget play QB/WR for the league minimum. Nothing more, nothing less.
  6. No, I meant when Edwards inevitably goes down Vick is the perfect QB to step in for that game. I think he'd be perfect for any team with a fragile QB. Also, I wasn't saying the Bills will sign him, I was just making a point. There's no way he comes to Buffalo. Mutual disinterest.
  7. He was a sh------- writer well before he bashed T.O. or the Bills. He just sucks in general. This didn't help his case.
  8. Say what you want, Vick would be a disgusting backup QB. Teams prepping all week for Edwards then he gets hurt (shocker) and the exact opposite QB takes over for the rest of the game? Vick was a below average quarterback because he relied on his skills too much and teams could game plan for him. Nobody game plans for a backup QB. A trick play once in a while wouldn't hurt either. He doesn't have the brains to be a starter in this league, but he's more slash than Kordell Stewart ever was.
  9. This is a Skip Bayless thread. Let's not turn it into another Michael Vick/dogfighting thread there mister moral...
  10. Please tell me you're kidding...
  11. Why in the hell is Levi Jones commanding $10M/year??? Not at his speed.
  12. This board is such a joke, it's not even funny. Jason Taylor, one year removed from three consecutive double-digit sack seasons, manages only 3½ sacks after suffering a freak injury that almost killed him, and he's "over the hill." Aaron Schobel, on the other hand, manages just one sack in five games and hasn't hit double-digit sacks since '06 and more people than I can count are counting on him to revive our pass rush (along with Maybin). Unbelievable. Where do they sell these rose-colored glasses??
  13. That's not true...right?
  14. Are you on drugs? Derrick Brooks is 36. When he was drafted they were still wearing the old colors. http://www.pewterreport.com/img/articleIma...andagesmall.jpg
  15. Okay I think it's time someone sat you down and talked to you about capitalization and ellipses...
  16. He had one sack in those five games, and he's turning 32. Ellis did absolutely zero, regardless of when he was taken. And Aaron Maybin has never played a game of football over 234 lbs. Maybe you should settle down a little...
  17. Simeon Rice is dead. Move on. Speed rushers die early. He tried his comeback with the Colts and did absolutely nothing when Freeney went down. Pass.
  18. For the record, the ST coach isn't paralyzed, thankfully. He has some broken vertebrae, but is expected to fully recover. Unfortunately the other guy wasn't so lucky. And as I said, I'm not a man of prayer but I hope both can come through this. I am intimately familiar with back injuries and know how much it sucks. It's true, there is nothing funny about this at all. It doesn't change the fact that if Jerry Jones was directly under one of those beams I wouldn't shed a single tear.
  19. This comment may be wildly unpopular - and I do hope the ST coach is alright - but it's too bad that Jerry Jones wasn't unfortunate enough to have front row seats for this spectacle. The only thing better would be for his billion dollar stadium to implode on him or for him to choke on $100 bills.
  20. Does this mean we can stop drafting the Tim Euhuses of the world in the fourth round finally? It feels like the last time we drafted a non-TE in the fourth was Terrence McGee...
  21. If you weren't being sarcastic you'd fit right in around here.
  22. He's also bigger than the new favorite child of this board, Alvin Bowen. I'm not sure when the last time a fifth round LB came in and started but I like what this guy brings so far.
  23. Holy crap, great video! I like the way Harris went right up and checked the receiver full on with no pads on aside from his helmet.
  24. I'm glad someone else pointed that out...
