  1. +1 That's not much of a link dude. I'd say chances are much higher of landing McNabb (although this 'article' is pure speculation: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/322448-...ing-in-buffalo), and despite Reid's comments, I think McNabb could be had for slightly less than a king's ransom.
  2. Rogers is not top five. Manning, Brady, Brees, Rivers, Favre (yes, Favre - 33 TD's to 7 INT's this season), Warner are all above him. QB rating means very little. Rogers is very, very good (top 10 with Schaub ahead of Romo) and trending upward and I would absolutely love to have him, but to call him the best QB in the league right now is a complete joke.
  3. Please kill yourself. Short of that, just stop posting.
  4. At least no more posts like "you got me good you !@#$er!" about the Peter Pan picture. Did we need two and a half pages of those responses?? There was a message in my Alpha-Bits today, it said "ooooooooo"...
  5. In the words of Chris Rock, you've got a better chance of winning the bronze in female gymnastics than getting $80 for a pair of corner/endzone seats for this game. A pair of JKC tickets went for $76 on eBay today; a pair of PMC tickets went for less than $50. I saw a pair of section 102's go for less than $30 a week or two ago. You can get tickets on StubHub for $7 apiece in the nosebleeds, but you're subjected to their bull **** hidden fees at the end. You should donate them to charity for a tax write-off at face value.
  6. Change them. The new ones are HORRIBLE, especially the road uniforms. Go back to the last ones or the old throwbacks, I don't care. But bury the new ones, they're just awful.
  7. Shut the !@#$ up dude, nobody cares about your fantasy bull ****. Jesus...
  8. I could use one too. Can't find one online.
  9. Sorry, but that doesn't make any sense. They're both in their third seasons come next year. One of them has to be ready. You can't carry 7 WR's forever. Besides, spend the money on the line over another one-year WR.
  10. Good to know you aren't just a JP apologist, but a QB apologist in general.
  11. What do you mean 'were'? Bring him in for a workout! He'll get parole...eventually. Trade Lynch and Parrish for a fourth and let Phillips split carries with Jackson! Get 'er done!
  12. Yeah, TBD posters vs. Todd McShay. Pardon me if I don't take you at face value on that one. I don't remember McShay ever calling Maybin a "can't miss superstar." Link? I do remember him saying Matt Ryan would be a superstar when Kiper was saying just the opposite. Pardon me if I'll take his word over that of Florio or most of the TBD draftnicks.
  13. Finally, we disagree on something...
  14. You think ESPN is going to take the chance when Indy has suggested they'll be resting their starters anyhow? In subzero temperatures? Over Philly/Dallas, GB/Arizona, or even Cinci/NYJ? Doubt it.
  15. Thanks old man. I actually meant to put you on the list but didn't think about it until after submitting it and didn't feel like going to the trouble of editing it. Better? I added a few more, too.
  16. My question stands: why do people think the Colts - who have homefield advantage locked up already - visiting the Bills - who have home locked up already - would be flexed to Sunday night where there's a good chance of it being about zero degrees and snowing??
  17. Why do people think they would flex this game anyway? Jim Sorgi vs. Ryan Fitzpatrick in horrendous conditions? Whoopie!
  18. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, TBD posters PDaddy, Thurman#1, jax bills backer, dog14797 or whatever his numbers are, b.harami98. In that order.
  19. Yeah, except Pittsburgh was on a three-year playoff draught until Bill took over, then went six years in a row as soon as he took over. And ride that Tom Donahoe train. That should be a popular POV on this forum. By the way, Dick LeBeau, as brilliant of a defensive mind as he was, was 12-33 as a head coach. Just sayin'.
  20. Except you said they hadn't paid attention to the line. You were wrong. It may suck, but it's not for lack of trying. Yeah, those eight division titles, ten postseason appearances, six AFC Championship games and three Super Bowl appearances in 15 seasons really shows how much he sucks. Great point. Switzer won it in 1995 after Johnson's Cowboys had won it in 1993. Tomlin won in it 2008 after Cowher had won in it 2005. It's not really that much of a stretch. Exactly my point, the core is still there. Not sure what your point is here... Yeah, that's it...
  21. Except he did it with Cowher's team. Barry Switzer anyone??
  22. Pittsburgh recent drafting history: 2009 3rd round: Kraig Urbik, G 7th round: A.Q. Shipley, C 2008: 4th round: Tony Hills, OT 2007: 5th round: Cameron Stephenson, G undrafted FA: Darnell Stapleton, G/C 2006: 4th round: Willie Colon, G 6th round: Marvin Philip, C 2005: 3rd round: Trai Essex, G 6th round: Chris Kemoeatu, G Another good point by a valuable poster.
  23. A large part of what you said I agree with...in principle, anyway. I've read that professional sports teams are hardly a boon to most cities. By the same token, I am adamant that the Bills not leave the Buffalo area, and that includes Toronto. For such an economically depressed area, it's a source of pride just to have a professional football team, especially when what you allude to about prices being so out of whack. I've never lived in New York State. But having so much family in WNY and knowing so many people from the area I will forever be a Buffalo Bills fan, and I don't know what I'd do if they left. But I sense a hint of misdirected political anger. You blame it on the "new neoliberal NFL," but 1) the prefix 'neo' literally means 'new,' so you're being redundant, and 2) if anything the NFL is moving away from it's liberal, profit-sharing, salary-cap roots into a more market based, every-man-(team)-for-themselves conservative ideology. Seeing that you're from WNY it doesn't surprise me that you come from the right (as opposed to the 'left;' not as opposed to the 'wrong') frame of thought, and I know the right loves to blame everything under the sun on Obama, but please at least get your facts straight when going on a tirade.
  24. Well, I wasn't really arguing that. I was more arguing that by this time last year the well had been poisoned and the dye had been cast. Marv really had no idea what he was doing as GM, no argument there.
