  1. Maybe there should be an option between "kill me now" and "it's okay"...? I mean, I hate it, but I'm not going to kill myself after this Bills personnel move. Let's be honest - I would have eaten a bullet a long time ago.
  2. I'm sick of this Tampa 2 "bend but don't break" crap we run. Indy's defense was horrible for years for a reason. But to be honest, I'd take him in a heartbeat over Gailey, so maybe I'm eating my words now. I still don't understand why a roll of the dice on Billick is such a terrible idea.
  3. I didn't say they had to beat them in a shootout. In fact, I said I didn't think they could, but that the statistics you referenced in your blurb only suggested that they did, not that they merely had to shut down an already anemic rushing attack. I wonder if either you or Bretherton factored in the most accurate kicker in the history of football missing three field goals, including two from 40 yards or less. I was actually hoping for a little insight, not a snyde remark. Peter King said in his MMQB that he was "shocked" at SD's inability to run yesterday. Did he not watch them all season? Did Bretherton??
  4. Except for the fact that he's never played LB you're spot on.
  5. One particular poster comes to mind...
  6. For a guy who supposedly isn't worth your time, you sure do spend a lot of it tracking down my comments and responding to them with an antagonistic tone. It's pretty rare that a player gets to that level of insubordination. Pacman Jones and Michael Vick aside, I don't think we're quite there. Lynch is a talent, we're a team short on it, and he's signed relatively cheap through 2012. Keep him and address other areas of need.
  7. (that was sarcasm there, big guy)
  8. see, I was being sarcastic...
  9. It might sound dumb, but they don't have a ton of holes to fill (depending on how they address their FA's, of course). But Sproles has to be a more manageable salary, cap or no cap. He wasn't anywhere close to deserving of $6.6M this season, and he'll be 27 next year. They could also theoretically keep LT at the veteran minimum for depth, but I wouldn't bet on it. I'm not in the "trade Lynch" camp, but that would be a landing spot for him if there ever was one.
  10. Ummm...he only has one super bowl victory. Three rings, but he was a backup for two of those.
  11. I'm glad you regained your common sense after your "Kaeding for HOF" comment earlier. Well, that doesn't make too much sense now does it. You're going to trade proven talent for draft picks? I assume the draft picks will be used to bring in unproven talent? See where I'm going with this one??
  12. Yes, because his 343 yards rushing yards at his $6.621M salary would certainly be irreplaceable. Bottom line is SD needs a premier #1 RB. Sproles is a scat back who's time is almost up (RB's die early; scat back/punt returners die really early) and LT's time is up. Vincent Jackson isn't going anywhere though, he's their best WR.
  13. Maybe we could trade Roscoe and a 4th for Rivers?
  14. Can people seriously stop trying to trade Marshawn Lynch already? He's a 23 year old, extremely talented RB. He had a bad year, yes, but that's not a reason to trade talent. Everyone on this board bitches when we let someone go. This should be a no-brainer, people! Fred Jackson will be 29 next season. 30 is generally when RB's die. Look at LT this season - he was horrific. SD had the 31st ranked rushing attack in the NFL. Freddy could be just one or two years removed from that. Why create another hole? We have some pretty big ones at some pretty important positions already.
  15. It's an interesting discussion, even if quite a bit biased. But Marino is considered by many to be the best of all time, despite never winning a super bowl. You're also ignoring some gems from the old days like Unitas and Tarkenton. Favre doesn't make the top five, no way, no how. Wayyyy too many interceptions, way too many memories of him closing out seasons on a big pick. Kelly probably doesn't even crack the top ten.
  16. Why the hell does this trade make sense for anybody? Why does SD need a fading punt returner? Why would they trade their solid backup QB? Why would we try to teach a 34 year old QB who has extremely limited starting experience an entirely new system?? Why did you even start this thread???
  17. God you're a douche. This isn't the forum to argue it, but feel free to PM me at your leisure and save everyone else from reading your drivel. Keep in mind, the cost of fighting a war in Iraq has surpassed $700B. Think we could improve our 37th ranked healthcare with that sort of funding? Douchebag. Amen to Astrojanitor. The use of the term "socialist" just goes to show the true ignorance of many on the right (or at least the vocal ones). It's in the same way those the left called Bush a fascist. It's pure hyperbole. Again though, this isn't the forum for it. My apologies.
  18. Funny, where have you been the last ten years? Or even longer...? Get a !@#$ing grip...
  19. Don't think I actually compared Bush - who historians, since the end of his presidency, have been 'unkind' to thus far, to say the least - to 1930's Adolf Hitler. If I did, please show me where and I will reconsider. If not, please shut the !@#$ up as you clearly don't know what you're talking about.
  20. Yeah, hyperbole is fun. Just like those Bush/nazi photos. The pendulum swings both ways. Moron. Didn't even read it, honestly. The avatar was so absurd it didn't warrant listening to his opinion.
  21. You're a douche. But more for your ridiculous avatar.
  22. Aren't there enough Leslie Frazier threads open already??
  23. Good point. Fixed!
