  1. Trust me, I want to be wrong here...
  2. Thank God you're not in any way affiliated with this - or any - front office...
  3. My thoughts exactly.
  4. This has been done to death, but Philly isn't trading up to get Berry unless he falls to us or later. And he won't. They might trade up for Earl Thomas, but they won't have to go higher than Miami to do it. The Giants realize the depth at ILB in the draft and won't reach to trade the farm for McClain.
  5. Mayyyybe move Mitchell to the outside, but Poz is an inside backer, too slow to play outside. I really think we need a legit OLB since, well, we don't have one on the roster. With all the depth at ILB it would seem silly to ignore the dearth of talent at OLB. Jesus Christ no... Unfortunately Maybin hasn't shown he can do either...
  6. Grossman and Dilfer couldn't be more different.
  7. Interesting, Scouts, Inc. has OT's Charles Brown and Roger Saffold rated just below Bulaga. But they can definitely be taken in the second, whereas Bulaga would require a first round pick. I like your pick of Derrick Morgan at #9 (assuming Okung and Williams are gone) then grabbing one of those OT's in the second and Lefevour in the fourth. The problem is, there will probably be no NT's in the available in the third, so maybe it's Dan Williams at #9 overall instead of Morgan...?
  8. I hate it when Mike Tirico calls Trent Edwards a "former first round pick"
  9. How about we stop mortgaging the future for QB's that likely aren't going to pan out? I'd rather go into the season with Edwards and Vick or Campbell or whomever than trading next year's first for...Colt McCoy. Luckily he's from Texas so we know Buffalo won't draft him anyway. Just don't ever run a football organization, CT.
  10. Probably not by 5. But certainly by 9 which is all that matters.
  11. There's really no sense arguing about this. But even you should know that you can't change your mechanics that quickly. As soon as he steps on the field my money says he goes back to the way he is. To be a successful quarterback in the NFL you need to progress through your reads quickly, be able to fit the ball into tight windows, and have the arm strength to get it there. I don't think Tebow has any of those traits. It's hard enough to compete if you've only got two of them. Out of those three, his best attribute is his arm strength, but it's not like Vick or Jeff George arm strength, and don't even tell me he can fit it into tight windows or had progressions to go through at Florida. Not to mention he took, what, four snaps from under center in college? Listen to Casserly: "don't fall in love with the player, fall in love with the tape," and the tape here just doesn't translate. Most serious football guys aren't giving him grades higher than the third round. We take him at #9 and I will completely lose it. Much worse than Maybin with last year. Thankfully I have faith in the FO not doing that. I'm hoping some team falls on the grenade for us late in the first round. We have so many holes that we need to fill, we don't need a gimmicky quarterback who seriously can't throw at an NFL level at #9 overall.
  12. Charlie Casserly just talked about him on the NFL Network: "Don't fall in love with the player, fall in love with the tape. I did not see a guy who was a natural passer, too many other issues besides the mechanics; I wouldn't take him in the first three rounds." I couldn't agree more.
  13. I'm more worried about ESPN switching to the Bills War Room camera and seeing Nix asleep in his chair and Russ Brandon assuming control with a frantic look on his face.
  14. Aside from Thomas, that's a horrible draft. Why draft two TE's? Riley Cooper is terrible. My opinions on Tebow are well known. And Bulaga has his own masturbatory issues.
  15. Have you ever watched him throw? It's so ugly. What were his senior bowl stats again? Far be it for me to agree with Jerry Jones, but he's right - why draft Tebow if he's never going to see the field? Gimmicky college quarterbacks don't translate to successful NFL quarterbacks. The only thing worse than drafting a gimmicky quarterback is drafting one in the top ten.
  16. Yes, take a QB that can't throw at #9 overall. Jesus...
  17. Chris Ellis won't make the team. I forgot Hardy ran a 4.49 40. He needs to step it up this year and show us what he's got. He's certainly got the physical skills.
  18. Here's a question for you, Bandit (and everyone else): out of all the positions we need (OT, NT, QB, OLB), which positions are deep in this draft and which are not? That could weigh into the decision of who to pick first more than anything. There seems to be some depth at OT (Brown, Saffold), NT (Thomas, Joseph), and QB (Lefevour, Pike) meaning we can get talent outside of that first pick (so trading down, while ideal, would not be necessary).
  19. What fire sale? I think you're getting the '03 Buccaneers mixed up with the '98 Marlins.
  20. My favorite thing is that all the experts on TSW keep saying Maybin is a 3-4 OLB, yet I haven't heard one of them say why (with the exception of him being too small to be a 4-3 DE). Can he drop into coverage? Can he play in space? Does he have any lateral quickness? Certainly he didn't show it at the combine. Maybin's a bust, and it's just a matter of time until you people are willing to admit it.
  21. Now come on, that's not true. You don't just "absorb" blockers by being big, you have to actually be a threat to make a play. Wilfork isn't elite because he's just big - the man can move for his size and he's incredibly strong. You don't have to be a sprinter, but you have to have some quickness.
  22. I will watch every minute of nights one and two. I'll catch the beginning of Saturday but cut out if they bring Bill Cosby back on.
