  1. where is he lying in that article?
  2. Graham takes a lot of heat here for breaking stories. Theres nothing sensationalistic about this story or his presentation. He has infinitely more details than you and I have regarding this. I have no reason to doubt the facts he has written his story on. Her husband was let go after the article was published. The “churn” you describe has really and simply been Pegula concentrating the control of the teams…on Terry Pegula.
  3. same as what? His two career high seasons? That’s beside the point. in 2020 he was a solid QB, the opposite of what the other poster claimed. It was right in the middle of his career of output.
  4. he's still trying to figure out why Howard Milstein hasn't bought the Bills yet, what with all that property he bought around Niagara Falls... lol
  5. worked for #14...amirite??!! for a single season--only because he and Beasley were the only guys in the room... Well if that has any bearing on being a passable WR FA then the Bills passed on a far more committed (crazy) holy roller in Zay Jones, no? I was responding to the previous poster who said Ben was garbage at the time. Then you also responded. But, yes, he had 4900 in 2014--but this was 1 of only 2 career seasons over 4500 yards---clearly outlier seasons so their comparison isn't particularly noteworthy. You could have pointed out that only 2 years before Claypool arrived, Ben had his career best season (his 15th!). 7550 yards, 55 TDs over 2 seasons--after 18 years--that's better than his career season average (even not counting his 2 game 2019). That's solid play.
  6. Blame politicians for being craven and feckless? Ok...done, now what? Bills ownership could have chosen not to threaten to move their beloved Buffalo Bills if no stadium deal was forthcoming. The Bills previous owner would live another 22 years beyond 73... Also, wee aren;t talking about estate planning/wills to determine the succession of his billions--of which Pegula certainly long ago began such a process and I'm sure it's up to date. We are talking his consolidation of ownership to himself (by taking control of Kim's share), with a sliver going to the daughter who is not Kim's child. Sabres: 2011-current. It's a reiteration of the 30% policy. The owners have to approve any changes in succession.
  7. He had 3800 (16th) yards and 33 TDs (tied for 7th) on a 12-3 team in 2020. Why would that prompt retirement? How is that "garbage" QB play? Try again...
  8. well, that's obviously not what this story is about--I think you understand this. And sure, maybe his son in law was so bad at his job that Terry waited until Jessica wrote that piece about her mother's current condition (for which we rightly thanked her) before he fired the guy (and subsequently gave a share to another daughter). That makes total sense!! He was that bad---and the timing of Terry finally realizing this was just coincidence!! Also, the NFL does not require a succession plan per say: "The NFL requires families that control teams to collectively own 30% of the club, with the controlling owner share smaller, with the minimum level determined by the number of years of ownership" None of that matters anyway, as succession of Bills ownership is currently not an issue as Pegula seems healthy and just took over his wife's half of the team. So, over the past year or so, he has become president of the Bills and Sabres, and nearly 100% owner of both teams. That's not a guy thinking about succession....
  9. Big Ben and Tua are "garbage"? anyway, classic Beane off-season WR addition.....
  10. wears puffy down jackets in May
  11. Yes, that was posted a few days ago. Some nice catches, some really bad drops.
  12. well, ok… but the point of the question was how is the value of the gifted share arrived at by the taxman?
  13. Then he cuts out his son in law and gives a slice to the other daughter---after essentially taking over his incapacitated wife's half? This guy's a peach. I wonder how he pays a gift tax on the share he's giving his daughter?
  14. I've seen 2 extended interviews and he seems gregarious, I'll say that. But if living and breathing football, which is every rookie before camp starts and reaching out to old vets was predictive of success, roster decisions would be a lot harder to make----and the D leagues like the UFL would be filled with A LOT more talent than they currently enjoy. Only 2.b. in your list means anything in this assessment, however. I will admit I've not seen a ton of this guy. By putting it not not first or second on your list, I'm guessing you haven't either.
  15. Hmm ow big are Pegula balls that he’s going to make a billion selling 25% to some other billionaire and he’s still going to charge PSLs??
  16. I can't at all get an idea of how good he will be through all of these interviews he is going on. It's likely the Bills PR apparatus is going into hype mode to shore up the lack of enthusiasm in this pick. He's chatty! He's funny! He's....colloquial!
  17. She used to sell $10 pieces of toast at the food place her dad set up for her a few years ago. I assume it went bust. Why wouldn't he be?
  18. Based on what?
  19. 3 horrible decisions right there.
  20. it's hard to fathom they came away with a single WR in all those picks
  21. ok....but other than all that? lol
