  1. Maybe @GunnerBill also was bothered because he saw Harvin's work on 4 other teams in 6 seasons before he got to the Bills---or did you think he came to his conclusion that Harvin is "One of the most overrated NFL players of his generation" based on 7 games with the Bills? Think harder!!
  2. Kerley joined a room that also included Robert Foster in 2018...were Kerley and Pryor brought in for ST? Sanders as a #2, "stretching the field"...on his 6th team in 12 years (4th in 3 seasons)? At age 34? Come on! Anyway he sprained his knee in week 14, back in week 16. They released him at the end and he retired. Andre Holmes and Andre Roberts were brought in as excellent ST players and "backup starters" at WRs? They were backing up the star packed WR room of Benjamin, Bath Salt Jones, "Kerley Thompson and Pryor"?? good point! Crowder was pushing 30 , sparing used in 4 games then got hurt. As a receiver in the NFl, he was pretty much done--except the inept Commanders couldn't resist giving him more money for nothing. As it turns out, Duke Williams clearly did not have the talent to play in the NFL---and he had never demonstrated such before Beane figured he would be good enough for the Bills. Isabella has yet to make any impact at all in the NFL. He touched the ball once for the Bills. 25 ST snaps. 2 Offensive snaps. It's a waste of a roster spot--a guy you can't use anywhere. Brown (32.0), despite being passed around by 3 teams the previous season (and recording zero catches), was "elevated" off the PS 5 days after signing and played in their next 2 games. Other receivers in the game were Diggs, Davis, McKenzie, Knox, Shakir..... The draft was always available to address the WR room...
  3. Peterman had 4 starts. couldn't have bothered you too much...
  4. The point is simple. The above guys were brought in by Beane to solve his WR room issues. All made the 53, all had at least one thread dedicated to the impact they were going to have. How long did they last? One after another, they came and went, to be replaced by the next....
  5. I do--and that's not a knock on what him and every rookie does once they roll into town. I believe it's standard advice for them to team up with a charity, so they do so. It's not cynical to say this. It's not a business endeavor for him, it's for the Bills and the NFL. We can't know if his heart is involved, but if he keeps his commitments to his chosen cause/charity, then that's fine too. Win win.
  6. 8 more pages of "I hope the Bills don't lose to the Chiefs in the playoffs again!!"
  7. they cut a Jerry Jones shill. Amazing he lasted 26 years.
  8. who's buying "Guess" clothing for $90?? It's not 1990 for many years now. Maybe he got it at the Salvation Army outlet?
  9. lol, arm punt god
  10. You understand that NIL money is literally "actually paying these guys a paycheck to play football"...right?
  11. And he hasn't even murdered anyone yet???
  12. The LSU vs Chiefs clips are insane...
  13. Yes, Beane is very serious about the importance of the role of a "Captain"...will need a new slate of them. Anyway, I assume most fans understand that such events and charities are scouted and set up by the player's agency and/or team. It's part of the business.
  14. but i read here that the Bears are now a well run franchise
  15. Beane bringing in "a veteran/leader" to the WR room, you say? Now that I consider it, given Beane's track record at this, Hollis could well be the next Kelvin Benjamin/Andre Holmes/Deonte Thompson/Terelle Pryor/Jeremy Kerley/Andre Roberts/Duke Williams/Emanuel Sanders/Jameson Crowder/Brown+Beasely 2.0/Deonte Harty/Andy Isabella/Trent Sherfield... ... and that's just the list of jabronies who made the roster.
  16. leaving it a penalty doesn't solve it's inherent problem: that it is impossible to fairly enforce. Beat your man or get beaten.
  17. nah, let them grab the jersey too. D-lineman has to beat that.
  18. eliminate offensive holding penalty. it's pointless to call occasionally a penalty that happens on every play.
  19. well it's a bit of hyperbole. but it's the only circumstance any NBA HC would sub in nearly any NFL guy. That's not a tough concept to contemplate...
  20. NBA players are soft. Lebrun cries for calls, sure. But he’s not strapping in a helmet for even a quarter of a game ever. No one who even casually watches football would ever claim there are no more big hits. Helmet to helmets obviously happen still—despite penalties. You’re not making much sense with this line of argument
  21. this will change everything!!!! lol
  22. NBA guys who say they could play significantly in the NFL are all delusional. These guys in today's NBA, to a man, cannot tolerate the slightest contact. they would all retire at halftime, week 1 after one big hit over the middle.
