Is James Cook a Top-Five All Time Bills Running Back?
Mr. WEO replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Come on… guys had 1 season of note -
lol touché! i think it’s more important that one might floss with greatness, agreed?
-
cool! He could be the next “He Hate Me!” the brain trust of Daboll/Schoen never sleeps!! imagine being a Giants fan at this point….oof!
-
nice. Cracked 1 million for the first time since week 1. still with no one in the stands (minus STL). How long will Disney and ESPN fund the huge production costs of live football with the revenue (gate plus TV ads) under 850k viewers brings in?
-
I agree with many of your points. there isn’t much of a gap between Samuel and, say, Shakir. Paying that much for him made no sense
-
I think we all understood that the OC doesn’t sign players… I dont know if Brady and Samuel meshed. My guess is that the Carolina FO, which has the power to sign or not resign players, concluded they did not
-
yeah paying him that money is nuts so is any talk of a Carolina/Brady link being a reason they wouldn’t cut him. if Brady doesn’t pick his players then there is no meaningful connection to Carolina, where they shared a cup of coffee

Is it just me, or do some arguments here drag on ad nauseam?

hellloooo! on a board where the same topic will have 3 different threads on page 1, this is a strange thing to now point out. -
Tim Graham article on Kim Pegula and Bills ownership
Mr. WEO replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
come on doc, Diggs’s attitude problems were understood in Minny. That the Bills got fed up with him was therefore predictable. It’s not even debatable. It all happened, as we saw. Why wouldn’t I bring it up—it’s hardly a take. Kelce had had 121 targets last year. Super Bowl hoisted. Kincaid just showed up and got 91. ”loved” AB? lol. Anyway, no one-ever-confused Diggs for AB on the field. -

“nonsense" is the fairy tale that Brady deep six’s Diggs season when he became OC. i agree with your response to doc though -
yeah I didn’t bring Samuel into this conversation anyway, because of “Brady Carolina ties”, Samuel is a lock?? After a single year together, Brady said “adios Samuel” in Carolina.

superstar TE, for sure. So what? That’s a fraction of targets. you live the “on pace” stat. It’s nonsense of course. In fact, Diggs was in clear decline through the season. This inescapable future is tough for any aging player, but particularly for a emotionally labile guy like Diggs, who spent his career knocking on the door of superstardom, with 2 of the most proliferative passers in the game throwing him passes …but he couldn’t cross that threshold. his meltdown was predictable for some… -
you won’t answer the simple question I asked. Cheers!

I didn’t refer to Samuel at all in my post. He’s clearly not the most significant pickup, might not make the roster. But they have a boatload of new WRs. That’s not an indication that Shakir is going to be the “big hope” receiver in the offense this year….

again, a point not worth making. Also, he was making do without a legit functioning WR1 for much of the season (Diggs was kept around for one season too long). Plus, Mahomes has been able to get by without a superstar WR -
I didn’t imply Samuel is their big hope. Not sure where you pulled that out of. they also brought in Claypool, MVS and Coleman
-
you’re the one intent on comparing to viewers of both leagues last year to this year. Two different leagues last year—now same teams as two separate conferences. Fewer viewers (and other than STL) and no one in the stands. can you just focus on explaining the decreasing viewership over THIS season? And how this translates into more viewers? more is less?

You claimed the Bills want to see how Josh does without a high priced WR, when he only has ever had a single one. It’s a strange point to make therefore. that someone or other will catch those passes is self evident, but not on point. -
i see that now for 12/6--sold out of economy. This one flight isn't a big deal--there are tons of options to all LA area airports from Buffalo with short connections that have a total travel time within 2 hours of the direct. Very cheap too
-
you need a program to figure out who's who in this story. who runs phone dead frequently enough to have to use your kids' phones to send messages to your BF?? if you're hanging with the kids, you would charge your phone... And once you delete a text on a phone it gets deleted from icloud with next phone update. also, if the kid has the phone, that text pops up, he's looking at that picture.
-
"very well spoken"....hmmmm anyway, based on their off season acquisitions, the FO isn't clearly focusing on Shakir being the "big hope this season for the passing game"...

Without?? List all of the "high priced receivers" Josh has had other than The Helmet Tossing, Sideline Shouting Predictable Bad Ending Diggs? How will we ever know if players were copping to giving 110% in postgame interviews, or what Howard Milstein was up to buying all that property in Niagara Falls (to buy and put the Bills there of course!)?? -
When is the Week 14 BUF-LA flight offered? I see no direct flights on SW 7th or 8th, in fact, looks like only JB flies out of KBUF direct to KLAX

"Notably, the UFL did decidedly worse than the XFL’s five-week 2020 reboot. Perhaps aided by curiosity after the league was dormant for 19 years, the XFL saw an eye-popping average of 1.9 million viewers per regular season game before being forced to cease operations and file for bankruptcy due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The UFL’s best rating for the 2024 season came in the Week 1 matchup between the St. Louis Battlehawks and Michigan Panthers on ABC. It averaged 1.3 million viewers." "The UFL’s first regular season has come to a close, and the spring football league did an exceptional average rating of 816,000 people across its 40 regular season games, according to Sports Business Journal. In 2023, the XFL and USFL, two leagues merging to form the UFL, averaged 622,000 and 601,000 regular season viewers, respectively." 622,000+601,000>816,000 Best effort--week 1: one game at 1.3 million. By the end of the season, for week 10, the average was down to 784,000 (compare again to seasons averages 1.23 million for USFL/XFL 2023).
