  1. well they say it takes money to make money. the point was making money hand over fist in the NFL is the default position. a frozen cabbage could do so.
  2. it's hard to escalate a situation that has played out in public for weeks and the 49ers aren't coming to the table. this can't move the needle--trade request/demand provides zero leverage. obviously they have already considered a trade--it's one of only 3 options they have. likewise, every potentially interested team already understood it was one of the 49ers options. it's likely his demands are massive and they don't see the need to shell out this year. a team trading for him would have to resign him for this massive amount as well as give up picks for a guy with one year left on his contract. the 49ers probably replied to this request with "yeah, ok"
  3. what's the point of requesting a trade? it's the team's prerogative--and it's likely they have already considered it. their price isn't out there so they are holding pat for now. they got him for another year
  4. $15 for the season tickets?
  5. making money in the NFL requires little business acumen...it's a guaranteed income/profit
  6. lol Purdy not in top 10? These execs or whoever are blinded by bias ("Stafford is a kingmaker", lol) Burrow ahead of Josh? stop. Rodgers at 10? The guy is old and coming off a devastating injury and he's a head case. why would anyone take Jackson over Goff or even Stroud at this point?
  7. lol that's a big if.. anyway, a healthy Rodgers led a 13 win team to 8-9 before he was replaced by his backup the next season. he's washed.
  8. true. Take out Elway and Staubach and put in Newton
  9. "craft beer" is for chumps
  10. not a serious list without Cunningham.
  11. he had almost made it to the rental car return...
  12. who has ever claimed Lamar Jackson is a better playoff QB than Allen?? wtf?
  13. i recall the 6 game minimum. He got pretrial diversion for misdemeanor charges. Is this significantly less than recent such suspension cases?
  14. He had one decent game in 2022.
  15. Aren't these suspension penalties already set--in agreement with the NFLPA? How much discretion does the league have with meting out punishment?
  16. lol Rodgers one a single SB a million years ago. Since then they gave him enough talent to make him an MVP. 2 years running.
  17. I've been in Italy all day. Josh isn't here
  18. tell us all another funny story how drafting Love left Rodgers "without any weapons"....
  19. it’s based on revenues, not expenditures
  20. it’s not great protection that he has. Pretty simple
  21. it’s one reason they blitz.
  22. That would be an odd statement to make, good thing I didn't. Green Bay gave far better protection to Love. This was evident.
  23. college doesn't matter once you're in the league. Every DC is extremely familiar with Shanahan's "system". It's hardly revolutionary. They've had plenty of time to expose Purdy. They aren't making much of a dent. Systems don't many SBs (Shanahan should be the first to tell you this). Tua is the best McDaniels will coach in Miami.
  24. yeah I don’t understand this suit. People willingly paid the going price for MORE NFL viewing. As the sole provider of this specific entertainment, who did the NFL “price fix” with? And who was damaged amongst the people who decided the price was perfectly fine with them (or they would have chosen not to purchase it). the theory of this case is bizarre.
