Kudos for keeping the team in Buffalo (as long as the locals built you a new stadium)!

Who would be up for trying a 22 formation on offense?
Mr. WEO replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
McD won't allow it because he thinks they will get flagged for too many men on the field with the 22...... -
How was Josh able to finish the game with a concussion?
Mr. WEO replied to JakeFrommStateFarm's topic in The Stadium Wall
we all know the published process, my point isn't hard to understand...dude. what i have said twice is that no one could do a proper neuro e v a l (per their own protocol) in 4 minutes or less, no matter how many neurologists were in that tent. An "independent" neurologist could not credibly do so. -

Rodgers is intubated IMV20/20+/100%, on 3 pressors and a blown pupil, and the the Bills are here to withdraw care... Bills 28-14 -
after watching the last to losses (plus his record of game day management the previous 3 seasons), how could getting rid of him make the team "worse"? that's the part I don't understand. does anyone really believe that this is a double digit win team heading to the playoffs after those 2 awful showings the past 2 weeks? How? Also, before he was fired, this was the sentiment on Defense: Quincy Williams to SNY: “I'm going to be honest, people get tired of hearing the same s--t. People gotta start taking accountability. People get tired of hearing the same thing every week. That's all I got to say." That's what got him fired. He lost the locker room.

how does firing an incompetent HC and benching an awful OC “torpedo” Rodgers?? May the new guy won’t have him dropping back 55 times. That will help Rodgers survive the season. the players were not happy, especially the Defense. They were vocal after the Vikings loss that leadership (Saleh) was not holding the Offense accountable for being awful, while the D is bringing it

There’s no chance Saleh was capable of getting this roster to win a playoff game. Why waste Rodgers’s final year to prove that? clearly, Johnson had seen 4 years of this and concluded Ulnricht couldn’t be worse. notice his first move as HC was to bench Hackett—also putting Rodgers on notice. it’s a win already well Saleh couldn’t do it. He was always in way over his head as HC. It was grossly evident every game.

Nate Hackett stripped of play calling duties. He's gonna be gone after the MNF loss to Bills.

Hire Saleh as defensive coordinator IMMEDIATELY
Mr. WEO replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
exactly. which talent depleted Defense has he "coached up" to a top unit? -
he's just a terrible HC. simple as that. Woody figured it was now or never with what's left of decrepit Rodgers. Watching that first half of the Vikings game, no one should wonder why Saleh was fired. They were sloppy and poorly prepared. A 3-2 team battling with a 2-3 team to possibly be 3-3 after week 6 atop a crappy division is not a reason to keep a proven bad HC.

How was Josh able to finish the game with a concussion?
Mr. WEO replied to JakeFrommStateFarm's topic in The Stadium Wall
what does that have to do with my post? where is "handing smelling salts to impacted player" on that checklist? Also, as I aid before, there's no way a neurologist can do such a a complete assessment as required above in 4 minutes or less. -

given the fact that Josh came back very quickly (4 minutes for the whole tent exam!) and that the team was having him say he didn't have any evidence of concussion (it's a "chest or ankle"), it's certainly not clear that he was examined personally by an independent neurologist. There is simply no way he could have gotten a proper neuro exam in that short of a time. They were handing him smelling salts---not part of a concussion assessment...... -
He is the only player who has successfully tossed his helmet at his own bench in both conferences.

no one is in denial of the risks now....and no one won't be looking back in the future as though this wasn't discussed/known/addressed, which is what you were implying---"it's going to be funny 20 years from now when this issue is taken far more seriously than it is now". No, they aren't. Also, the number of players who wore them is so miniscule and the time they wore them for was negligible that no conclusion on the effect of these caps in the NFL can even be guessed at.
-
denial of...what, exactly? there's no chance that a thin helmet padding supplement will save the vast majority of the players who are destined to suffer from such illnesses. Certainly the players don't think so. also, the concussion protocols are, by definition, after the fact. they can't prevent future concussions.

remember when Diggs "had a burning desire to win"? yeah...

Reports today are Woody is admitting he spoke to Rodgers the night before the firing. Rodgers is just the worst. The players, particularly on Defense, were tired of no accountability for the awful Offense week after week. They we turning on Saleh. Saleh was an awful choice from day 1. He absolutely should have been fired after last season. He's a very bad gameday HC. The argument that, at 2-3, they may be playing for "1st place in the division" is more an indictment on how bad the AFCE has started off this year. No one can seriously look at this Jets team and say they are playoff bound this year and therefore should keep Saleh. The Jets Offense stinks on ice. It's clear Rodgers has no respect for his HC (same for his last 2). He doesn't even try to hide it. That's a death knell for a scrub like Saleh. Even for a geriatric trust fund baby like Woody Johnson, the math here is easy. He figures it's this year with Rodgers or bust---and he rightly sees keeping Saleh as dooming the Jets to another 7-8 win season. he's not wrong in assuming "anyone but this guy" going forward is his team's best chance.

You draft a top 3 QB pick to start as a rookie. that's how it's done. this team isn't going to be better for him in another year.
-
no no no...he just got the "wind knocked out of him"--many medical experts right here on TBD made that clear! well, at least McD didn't claim it was a "back injury". everyone knows that means "concussion", amirite? what's going to be funny 20 years from now? anyway, every player clearly understands the risks of playing tackle football---now more than at any time in the league's history. No one can claim "we didn't know any better". A player's ONLY method of avoiding neurological injury that may affect them in the short and long terms, is to not choose not to play. They are free to make they choices, fully informed.
