    If Kelly didn't care for Buffalo and took off as soon as the season ended, as do many if not most players, he still would have played as hard as he did and had the same success. His love for Buffalo isn't material to his play. He's not some Kicker.

    who cares if a player "loves" the city they play in? Anyway... aren't many examples of a first round QB tanking his way off a team, let alone a future HOFer. Anderson reference was out of left filed..

    He's not exposed here. The owners paid for the lawyers to write the indemnification contract with Kroenke, not Goodell. In fact will decide if Kroenke is solely on the hook. If he does, Kroenke can take that to court and try to say the "costs', don't include "settlements".. This isn't Goodell's problem. It's Terry's/Jerry's/Bob's/Stan's......

    No, the point was he didn't have much choice but to play in Buffalo. Playing poorly for 5 years was not a cogent option, doc.... Even if it made a tiny bit of sense, the thought that Kelly wouldn't want to be someday in the HOF is unimaginable, as is getting there with 5 bad seasons to start your career. Everything about this idea is absurd.

    yeah anyone can file a suit. At least the Jets guy is claiming damages. The suit will get tossed. no one can claim Ross’s bribe altered any games so there really wouldn’t be a basis for a suit. I never disagreed that if Flores claims are true, Ross is exposed to criminal charges. Not sure why you keep repeating that.

    Mc D called 2 TOs. If he (and his DC) can't figure out what he is seeing on the field after that, it's hardly on some down-list coach. McD seems content to let the public infer, from his comments and moves, that the fault lies with others, not him.

    If McD is cleaning house by letting these coaches go "to explore other opportunities" over the 13 seconds than that's pretty alarming. As a DC by training, if he can't, after 2 TO's, figure out what Defense is appropriate in that scenario, then these issues with his decision making will never go away. Position coaches didn't screw that up...

    this discussion wasn't about criminal jeopardy. Poster Rew brought up a civil lawsuit. I said it was baseless--especially because there was no impact on the outcomes of games (his argument). You went off on his tangent.
