Is BB a great HC or "a great defensive coach" who "got lucky with Brady"?

Tyreek Hill says Tua is more accurate than Mahomes
Mr. WEO replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't care how many there are. I was clearly responding to incorrect information in doc's post. Before that I was documenting the irony in his whistling past the graveyard comment on a topic where there are multiple threads convincing us all that, fear not, Tua just sucks. That's not combat.... He said Tua was more accurate. If you use completion % he's not wrong. did I call Webb a scumbag? I don't recall.... Excellent question! who would want Brady at this point?? -
#Bills GM Doug Whaley said "I haven't even thought about it" if he agreed or disagreed on the Rex Ryan firing." @ByBuckyGleason : "What exactly do you do here?" #Bills "GM" Doug Whaley: "(pause) Rex Ryan recommended Anthony Lynn be the interim coach."

lol who am i "defending"? He is a scumbag. But it should be obvious he's trying to buck up his (new) boy Tua--and take a shot at the Andy Reid machine (a haven for scumbags). This isn't really that hard to understand doc. -
He made it one time with an awful team in an awful organization. Name "half a dozen" other HC's who get 11 games out of that lineup. I'm disagreeing while simultaneously pointing out that you are contradicting yourself--claiming both that Brady was some mediocre QB that the genius of BB could have at least as much success with another such or better QB...and that BB's genius is the result of pure luck--in the form of one of a kind talent in Brady.

They play the teams on their schedule. No one was expecting too much from the Fins under Tua last year. They won 7 of 8 down that stretch. The Bills, a legit SB contender, lost to a a team with no pulse (Jags), and scored 1 TD against NE, at home, in another loss. Hill is propping up his new QB in public--and Tua needs some propping up in public. So what? -

Yeah, there should be some sort of rule about NFL players making stupid comments. Good thing it's pretty rare. Also: see above -
SO what? They still made the playoffs with that crew. After taking the Bills to the playoffs, McD went 6-10 the next year with #7 pick "raw" "prospect JA (with a #2 Defense). Brady wasn't exactly fully formed as an NFL HOFer when Bellichick lucked into him was he doc? You said BB could have won those first 3 SB with "half a dozen" other QBs---yet he won them with a "raw" prospect. With the 199th pick and second year benchwarmer starting NE won 11 games and then ran the table for a SB. It's likely box checking

So what? what else is he going to chirp about? The irony, of course, is that all of these Tua threads are a lot of “whistling past the graveyard”. Why else would they exist?—how many Tua sucks threads are needed? Unless they are actually meant to convince those who keep assuring everyone he sucks that he does suck… -
Belichick took a 6-7 win Browns team to 11 wins and a playoff birth with Vinny Tetseverde, Leroy Hoard and Derek Alexander running the Offense (#11 in points scored). Maybe that was just lucky too? Or a magic trick? And as for lucking into Brady---NE won 3 SB with a JAG studded Offense before legit world talent (Moss--zero rings) and Groink showed up. Was Brady that good right off the bus (hint--you sure didn't;'t think so), or was it great coaching?

There's some irony. But how so? He went with the money. He has a ring. These guy don't care about the wins at this point. -

Tua is a very accurate QB. He was also the best RPO passer in the league last year. This is what he always was in college. The Fins are building the scheme around this. It requires an accurate QB and fast receivers going over the middle--which is one reason they went hard at Hill. Tua is what he is--and the Fins are going to roll with that. They won 6 in a row with him in the second half of the season and 7 of the last 8. Bills finished 5-3. He had 3 games with 80+% completions. Only 4 QBs have had back to back 80%. May not be an easy out for the Bills this season. -
For anyone still clinging to the bizarre belief that Congress would ever mess with the antitrust exemption, here is a good review of why it won't. It's about a recent bill to eliminate MLB's exemption (which is far more broad than the one the NFL has, by the way). https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2022/06/12/bernie-sanders-baseball-antitrust-exemption-00038630 "Since 1922, when the Supreme Court ruled unanimously that baseball was not subject to antitrust laws, the league’s exemption has been a whipping boy for politicians. But they’ve never been able to generate enough political support to get Congress to revoke its special status." "Four years later, in ruling that the NFL was not exempt from antitrust laws, Justice Tom Clark elaborated on the rationale for the ’53 opinion: “The court did this because it was concluded that more harm would be done in overruling Federal Baseball than in upholding a ruling which, at best, was of dubious validity,” and noted that Congress hadn’t made any change to baseball’s exemption." Congress and the SC have no interest changing this.

"Did you feel confident that you had the evidence needed to pursue those charges?” Baker was asked in the deposition. “Yes,” Baker said. “And was there any doubt in your mind as the investigating officer that a crime had occurred?” “No,” Baker said. I guess Baker Mayfield still does want that Browns QB job....

He played 2 seasons in the NFL. Sandlot football. The NFL, he would see, was a little different...

Kelly played in 17 playoff games--11 of those were during the 4 SB seasons. In those 17 games, he was sacked a total of 25 times. He only played all 16 regular season games 4 times in his career. He never took at least 500 drop backs and only 6 times had over 450 attempts. Marino had 11 16 game regular seasons and played in 18 playoff games. He had 11 seasons with over 500 attempts, 3 over 600. Playing the same game, they all took beatings. Jim didn't hold up as well.
