  1. See below. The "at his best" was a weak take. Maybe you didn't understand what I was responding to. I think Beane is a very good GM. But the claim that he took a bad 2nd round pick (I thought it was a pick at the wrong position for need at the time, not just a pick of a bum) and a few years later turned it into a 5th isn't a GM "at his best'. It's a decent break for an error, not a stroke of masterful management. I've made that clear in every post. That's not "framing it as a negative". Given the source, I'll take your opinion of "poor thinking" as the conclusion of an expert in that field...lol.
  2. I can only think of one: Sherlock...
  3. Did the Bills list Levi as such for the Chiefs Divisional game last season?
  4. he doesn't need to do anything about it--other than what he did. No torture, no evisceration, decapitation, no emasculation, castration, fenestration, penetration. But also, no slobbering genuflection for scraping something out of a bad decision. Is it finally clear?
  5. In fact, he was "at his best"..... You had the option of not posting that gem......just saying.
  6. They probably think "I'm glad Jameis Winston isn't here any more.....thanks for the SB ring!!".
  7. You rang?? lol. That D and C site was just me and doc by its end, I think. LOL
  8. None of my posts in this thread suggest otherwise. I was simply dissecting a bad take
  9. No, it really doesn't. I can't figure if you willfully misunderstand what is being discussed. I'm saying (over and over) that, given the circumstances under which he was picked versus what they needed and was available (cost) and what they ultimately got out of for him (return), your claim that this is Beane "at his best" is incredibly weak. It's your lame take that I take issue with--I've made that clear several times, your attempts to ignore that and make it about evisceration and torture and now "public apologize" not withstanding. I can't make this simpler for you.
  10. I read right here that Keenum could equal Josh's 2021 11 wins and 30+ TDs with this team. Might as well test the market.....
  11. Thats him. Always going on about Bama being the NASA or Harvard or something…of Alabama.
  12. Your histrionics aside, no, I don't. I just told you what I thought of your usual fawning conclusion: simply put, not his best work. That's hardly being "contrarian" for its own sake. You, on the other hand, are stuck introducing "evisceration" and "torture" as the only alternative conclusions...
  13. Settle down, "Einstein".... It's far more likely they send someone to practices open the public. Strange question. But the choice shouldn't only be that or lavishing praise on him for passing on a high impact need position and turning it into a 5th round pick 3 (really ) 4 years later. It's simply a "better than nothing" out, not an FO "at its best".
  14. At least with Chris Brown, the Bills made it clear he was speaking as one of their employees... Yes, other teams' FO scout the local press reports from camps when deciding whether to trade for players.....lol AZ obviously thinks that their staff can do better with Ford than Kromer can... The Ford pick came at a time when he Bills WR room consisted of John Brown and Cole Beasley. Instead of addressing this glaring need at a high impact position (and with a budding star QB), and with guys like AJ Brown and even Metcalf available for a 2nd, Beane went with a low impact pick (O-line). Now he's flipping the same guy before his rookie contract is up for a 5th.
  15. All 5 are better than Keenum at this point. The price is irrelevant to this discussion.
  16. Double negatives aside....your point has been pretty clear in each of your posts in this thread. And suggesting he could equal Josh's win total and come up only a few TDs shy of him this year playing a full season is completely at odds with what this guy has done his whole career. It's nuts--I see you didn't repeat it in the above post. Keenum isn't better than The guys I tossed back from your list. Comparing him to backups (the only meaningful comparison for this guy): Better than Gino. Maybe Mills too (neither are top 40). Not sure about Lock. Not better than Winston, Teddy B, probably not better than Trubisky, but that's a toss up. Not better than Minshew, Foles, possibly TT. I'll toss a bone and say he might be #40.
  17. They put Howard in for the 4th Q last week, and after Josh sat down yesterday. That's not a huge "showcasing" for max trade value. It's more like, "I don't know, maybe I have something in the back you might like, let me check"...
  18. who would break down the plays on the sidelines for Josh during the games????
  19. His resume is that of a journeyman backup. Pretty clear. He is not on his 8th team in 9 seasons as "a function of the talent around him". In Denver, he had Philip Lindsay, Emmanuel Sanders, DeMaryius Thomas (8 games), and Courtland Sutton--not exactly chopped liver. He eeked out 18 TDs on 15 ints and they got rid of him. The year before that, on the Vikings, he also had a loaded roster. Only 22 TDs, but won 11 games. Then they dumped him too. He would win 10-11 games for the Bills?? The Bills, with the NFL's best QB (who had "30+ TDs") won 11 games last year! Anyway, you listed Mayfield, Goff, Tua, Zach Wilson, Ryan, and Jones as guys you think Keenum is as at least as good as. Not to belabor the obvious, but if that was true, the Browns, for instance, would have kept him after singing the soon to be suspended Watson. I was high on Keenum here on this board when he came out of college, but....come on! He's a scrub who might get a loaded team some wins. Which is fine for the one guy on the roster that fans never want to see enter a game. He has one decent preseason game (after a not so decent one) against guys scrambling for a roster spot---and now he's "way underrated". ...
  20. You’ve again missed the point I made about Peterman. Im not “underrating” the guy. He’s a backup at the tail end of a backup’s career. He’s in his 8th roster in 9 years. We heard about how underrated Trubisky was—not before he was a Bill, not after they dumped him either. Only while he wore the jersey. Last week, Keenum looked cooked. Now hes “top 40 in the league”. if you are convinced that Keenum, a guy who played 1 full season, amassed exactly 50% of his “15000 yards” in 2 of his 9 seasons in the league and who has done nothing for the past 2 years is better than 8 guys who will start this year…then all evidence points to your opinion being unique in comparison to that of every front office in the NFL. There’s no way I can counter that.
  21. Peterman was awful. But like him, Keemun looked good (this week) against scrubs. There’s no chance Keenum is between 20-40….
  22. McD thought NP was better than Josh after a full preseason….
