Hunter signing with JSU was absolutely unprecedented. He turned down Bama, etc because he wouldn't be starting. As it turned out, he wasn't exactly lighting the SWAC on fire last year. But he figured he would play right away with Sanders on team that ran the conference vs not quite Big 10 competition.

As of 2019, alumni were coaching in 13.8% of the NCAAF Div 1 jobs. Leonhard isn't exactly Jim Harbaugh. Kirby Smart coached (to various degrees) at Florida State, LSU, Miami Dolphins, Bama before he went back to Goergia. How many played in the NFL? Why would a top recruit care either way? Leonhard has been at.....Wisconsin. Leonhard won 4 of 7 games and finished 6th in the crappy half of the Big 10. That's nice. But no program trying to rebuild is hiring a guy like that----when a guy like Fickell is available. That makes zero sense at all.

First of all, they are "SB contenders" now (pretty much--in the NFC)...plus you said "a SB appearance, if not 2". Second, the talent on the Bills is superior. No SB appearances yet
