  1. It's not Bobby Boucher they were playing... These guys don't care about TD celebrations. Plus the outcome of that game was rarely in doubt.
  2. "judge not, that ye not be judged" Matthew:7
  3. what's his faith status?
  4. Will Sean Payton be the first to coach 5 different teams at once next year?
  5. I'm here for the fresh Lamar Jackson takes.
  6. Exactly. Last week there was a warning thread to keep this very stuff off the board. This is PPP material.
  7. returning from the HOF?
  8. maybe but every explanation of the voting rules I see published say 2 players each position only
  9. Well Brown made it clear why asked for a trade. Then he went straight to a predictably worse situation. That’s the choice of a moron—so his life decision in this matter can be completely discounted. No one is saying Jackson is a great passing QB. Im saying his WRs stink. The one who demanded to be traded is a #2 WR all day anywhere else—and now he is…on a crappy team with a worse QB. That’s not a very persuasive argument you are attempting to make.
  10. well there's always the need to factor in stupid decisions on the part of NFL players. What did he think was going to improve for him in AZ?? dumb. who else you got?
  11. I got this from the AP site: Voters will rank their top five picks for MVP and top three picks for other awards. They will also rank their choices for first and second team All-Pro – the best players at each position. This process will more seamlessly allow for AP to name second and third-place finishers. I can't find where they are voting for more than 2 players at each position (giving their choices a 1st or 2nd team vote).
  12. who?...other than Marquise Brown---who saw his targets increase from 71 to 100 to 146 in 3 years in Baltimore. And he gave that up to be traded to where? Oh yeah.. the AZ Kyler Murrays! how did that work out for him? His targets per game went down. 1 game over 100 yards---and he only got a lot of those targets because Hopkins was out for half the season. Once he came back, Brown was #2. In Balt, he was far and away the #1 WR. What a chump.
  13. If Hurts doesn't run for 13 TDs, he doesn't get the AP. no question he got better--I did acknowledge this was a great year for him.
  14. I guess if you are down to YPA, AV, and a tiny advantage in completion % and the fact that his OC prefers him to run on short and goal to go.....Iyou can keep all that. I'd give it to the guy who was the better passer, runner and scored more points and generated more Offense.
  15. he did have a great season relatively speaking, but Josh also had more YPG passing, more yards rushing (on far fewer carries) for a much better YPC and accounted for 42/50 (84%) of the teams Offensive TDs and for 5045/6361 (79%) of their yards from scrimmage. Hurts was responsible for 35/57 (61%) TDs and 4461/6614 (67%) of yards from scrimmage. Those aren't similar stats.
  16. So there are 50 voters. They are each allowed to vote for 2 players per position (1st team and 2nd team, I assume). 1st team tally for QB, RB, TE, LT, LG, RG, RT, C all equal 50. Makes sense. Yet for WR there were 150 1st place votes by 50 voters. Edge rusher produced 100 1st place votes. Interior lineman got 100 1st place votes cast. LBs received 150 1st place votes, etc. seems weird. how do 50 people give 50 1st place votes to Jefferson and 47 1st place votes to Hill, and then still have 43 more 1st place votes to doll out at WR for example.
  17. i don't think anyone would argue that an elite QB can make any WR look better than an average QB can. As for Brown, with a rookie Jackson, he was the team leader in yards, YPC, YPG and TDs---mainly because he was about the only option other than Crabtree. In Buffalo, it was either Brown of Beasley. When that's all you got, guys like Brown by default will put up numbers. When teamed with better receivers, Brown goes back to where he is. Take away Diggs and replace him with Demarcus Robinson....see what ensues.
  18. wow, BOTH of Edmunds parents are among the "national panel of media members"??
  19. I didn't say anything like that. I'm saying the bums he's got aren't helping any QB. Better WRs elevate mediocre QBs. I gave you two examples. Put Diggs on the Ravens and Lamar looks like a better passer again.
  20. look, everyone already understands he's not a great passer, but those guys are bums. Give a legit top 5 WR and he'll look better. John Brown is a jag journeyman. Crabtree was a journeyman who bounced around on 3 teams his last 3 years (including Ravens). Both of these guys had 2 1000+ yard seasons each in a total of 20 seasons. Hurts is no natural great passer, yet he's got 2 top WRs and they get nearly every target (281 combined!). Compare that to his output (and to whom) in 2021. Adding AJ Brown was huge for this guy. Look at Tua with the addition of Hill. He goes from "weak armed QB" to "MVP candidate".
  21. oh, you mean Devin Duvernay, Andy Isabella, Demarcus Robinson, Rashod Bateman, James Proche and the carcass of DeSean Jackson? Come on....
  22. I remember those VHS tapes...
  23. actually, scrolling back, you were that "other poster". They drafted Montana in 1979. There's talk of them trading Lance--especially when there is talk of the 49ers in the SB vs. the Bills with Purdy (taking the last guy in the draft is a lark, not a draft move. It's no longer rare. This is obvious. and he sucked.
