    49er QBs don't drop back over 40 times much (once this year). He has out performed all other SF QBs in that system. Is it because of CMC? In CMC's 5 games on the 49ers before Purdy, they averaged 25 PPG. In the 7 games they played together, they scored 40 PPG

    JG went 7-3 and Purdy 5-0. Lance was awful in 2 games as starter---and you think he deserves the job.... because they made the decision to start him months ago. That makes no sense at all.

    Purdy has taken that Offense of Shanahan's to a level none of those others ever have. CMC surely helps, but none of those guys looked like this kid has from minute 1.

    Put him on the Rams and I bet he wins more than 3 games. I don't think anyone was suggesting he is akin to Josh Allen. On the Jets they are in the playoffs.

    Which "starter"? Jimmy G won't be around next year. Lance is another backup QB (lasted 2 games). Give him another 70 starts and he WILL BE EXPOSED!! He looked a lot better than Herbert. That guy hits more helmets than receivers. He must have gotten high at halftime. What a dud.

    The history of the NFL is littered with guys who put their feet up a bit after cashing in. You know this. But I agree, not playing while injured now makes complete sense. Watkins is a well known dope. He is a journeyman, a visitor, a renter, a guy who is passed around the league like soft cheese platter.

    I agree. Dungy is zero energy. Over-rated as he was in his coaching career. Need to pair Al with Gus Johnson!

    no way! I think he is having a bit of a chuckle out there each time. It's refreshing, compared to the vanilla monotone drone of Joe Buck and inebriated slurring of Aikman, for example.

    i wasn't aware that players could rule themselves out with a specific injury that he is describing. if he already had the money in the bank why would he be more likely to play injured?
