  1. McKenzie has 1 more year--he's only getting 2.5 million next season. He had 478 yards from scrimmage on 51 touches and 5 TDs. Hines had 11 touches for 50 yards, 1 receiving TD and 2 returns for TD (in same game) and he is owed 10+ million over the next 2 years! He's a "fringe/ST guy"....
  2. The greatest turf jockey since Carl Spackler
  3. Meanwhile, the Browns are thinking of restructuring Watson...
  4. For everyone who commented on the SB field being slippery because of "paint"...not so! A very disgusted Sodfather explains....as he shreds his colleague to ribbons! https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35754546/ex-nfl-groundskeeper-george-toma-super-bowl-lvii-field-was-overwatered "So, what he does," Toma said, referring to Ed Mangan, the NFL field director who was in charge of the Super Bowl field and worked under Toma for years, "he waters the hell out of it and puts it right into the stadium and that's it. Never sees sunlight again. He can't do that." "It had a rotten smell," he said. Toma also alleged that Mangan did not sand the field enough. "He sanded it two weeks too late," Toma said. "He had only one sanding. He should have had two or three sandings, but he didn't do *****. And that was it. And not only that, he didn't take care of it. He wouldn't listen to anybody." "I can't take it anymore," said Toma, who said he hasn't been pleased with how the NFL responded to field issues at Super Bowl sites in the past. "Me and the league are finished," Toma said. "They can't tell me what to do anymore. We're done."
  5. Were Chiefs fans through the 90's "spoiled" when Marty led them to over 100 wins, yet won only 3 playoff wins in 11 seasons? How about the Bengals for all of Marvin Lewis's tenure? 7 playoff appearances, 0-7. Spoiled---that's ridiculous. They have had bad exits from the playoffs 4 years in a row.
  6. Like Mitch Trubisky?? lol
  7. Posters upstream were saying get a top O-line and an UDFA could go wild behind it. I asked where that is happening. You mentioned a guy who just cracked 800 yards on the 20th ranked rushing offense. That's not exactly how the Chiefs got to, and won, the SB. Your example isn't Germain to this discussion.
  8. Eagles and Chiefs both had QBs who were the 2nd leading rushers on their teams.
  9. Every team includes the QB rushing yards.
  10. Yes, let Davis compete with a vet who gets injured and also catches half of his passes...
  11. Both of their RBs combined for 110 yards and a single TD. What's your point?
  12. He amassed 830 yards. The Chiefs were ranked 20th in rushing (Bills were 7th). What else you got?
  13. Who are all the UDFA RBs racking up massive yardage behind top O-lines?
  14. he’s 4-5 with elite offenses and defenses
  15. These 3 brave billionaires, in the end, stood not on principle, but on massive ROI and simply said "ok, never mind" on their way to the cash counter.... "Four days after the partners pressed the NFL arbitrator to seek proof that the loan was legally obtained, the documents show, the NFL moved to shut down arbitration proceedings. The partners begrudgingly agreed to mediation, led by Goodell, sources familiar with the matter told ESPN. The mediation resulted in the partners selling their shares, and it silenced their complaints against Snyder, the sources said."
  16. McVay and Harbaugh have won SBs.....without a Josh Allen on the roster period. Once a team starts winning their division regular, the 13 in seasons aren't going to be how a HC is judged--as they shouldn't be. Conference Championship game and SB appearances are the standard now.
  17. He doesn't have the HS kids where them during games, only practice. It's a great idea for the little kids no doubt---the vast majority of whom aren't going to play HS or college ball. Reducing concussions is always a great goal. This hasn't yet been proven to do so. Also, CTE develops in the absence of concussions (known ones at least) as the result of hundreds of low impact/deceleration events involving the player's head.
  18. any supposed benefits of these helmets is theoretical. There’s no known clinical benefit
  19. so what? Then where did they go? It was only for linemen and LBs and there's hardly any contact in those practices anyway so it's a bit cynical for them to have made a big deal about these things then. They would prefer comfort and looks over improved safety. But that's their choice
  20. That's the BS I was calling out.
