  1. A problem gambler is someone who bets on the XFL Like PEDs, only the dumbest abusers get caught. It's too easy to believe a ton of NFL Players are laying bets on the NFL on accounts not in their own names. It would be impossible not to assume this. He wasn't cleared by anyone. He just wasn't charged. Big difference. Also, several teams knew about the allegations before draft day. (AP): "Executives from two different teams told The Associated Press they became aware of Araiza’s involvement in an incident during the draft process, but neither person knew the extent of the allegations", meaning all the sordid details.
  2. let the guy talk--see below. Feel free to participate. My point is that there is not another infallible person in the Catholic church--he has no rivals. "dictator" isn't by definition malevolent, it is just one who rules with absolute power and authority. By definition, the Pope's infallibility in all things regarding the Church, it's theology and practice, grants him absolute power and authority over the Church.
  3. these 2 have found a place where they can dominate on the same team maybe...
  4. How many Popes are there at once?
  5. It initially was the claim that workers already working in NYS would be adding to NYS taxes and goods and services by working on a stadium. I kept asking how that could be so and you chose not to answer. It was a simple, not odd question, which I repeated, that's all. You attach to it all sorts of assumptions about my ?politics over this, which you discovered were incorrect. Nothing odd with any of this. ...plus the dubious (at best) claim that Oakland "lost" the Warriors (when they moved across a bridge)!
  6. who would be pressuring the Bills into keeping him for optics?
  7. Remember when the 2 TE set of Knox and OJ Howard was going to lay waste to the AFC?
  8. A TE named Zack requires his own thread…..
  9. Lol...McCoy and I had the same 2 SB performances---both of us watching in sweatpants. I'll be bidding on his rings on eBay in 10 years. McCoy straight up bum. Shhhhhaaaaadeeee!
  10. Swatting down BS is a never ending task!
  11. What's stopping them from doing that anyway?
  12. It's D 3 football. What are you expecting? Most of these kids go on to academic or medical or engineering careers, not the entertainment industry.
  13. How many more Josh “relationship” threads must we endure?
  14. They haven't lost the Warriors--any more than SF lost the 49rs. They were never the Oakland Warriors (but they were the SF Warriors). They lost the Raiders (twice) and now the A's. Remind the Oakland office of these facts. Takes 2
  15. As I said, just making corrections.
  16. I haven't equated even once SF and Oakland as cities, so there's no juice for you there. I've simply said that the Warriors are a regional team , not Oakland's team, and they moved to the to the side of the bridge. Oakland natives can go watch "their" team there. They didn't lose an NBA team. As for the Sharks, they'll do. The Golden Seals folded 50 years ago because no one in Oakland would watch a professional hockey game. Now, if they like, they can head to San Jose to watch the regions NHL team. As for the Shark Seals connection, the Seals owner moved them to Cleveland to become the Barons. The Barons merged with the Minn North Stars. The same guy owned this conglomerated team and asked the NHL to move back to the Bay Area, this was denied. He ultimately sold his share of the North Stars and got awarded an expansion team to....San Jose. So there's that.
  17. A's are a blow for sure, but. But regarding "losing their" NBA team, was it as equal of a blow to SF losing the 49ers to Santa Clara/San Jose? That's a lot longer commute than for Oakland residents to go see the "Golden State" Warriors.
  18. Oakland briefly had an NHL team many decades ago. If there are any hockey fans in Oakland, they can go watch the bay area team in San Jose....which is pretty much where 49ers fans have to go to watch their once local NFL team... Also, The Warriors have always been a Bay Area team, so Oakland really didn't "lose" an NBA team. Oakland residents can cross the bridge to see them, just like SF residents had done for years to watch them in Oakland.
  19. It was in reference to Beane's habit of handing a 1 year ticket to anyone who shows up at the door.
  20. it was a joke.
  21. About this trade, Von says he "feels great and positive that it will be ready to go"...
  22. Beane-Allen/(whaley+Nix)=infinity
