  1. Exactly. He could be the next Aaron Lynch....
  2. the window for "how long is the window open" threads? that window never closes...
  3. Selling it gets him the entire windfall. Why keep 25%? So he can feel the thrill of a minority owner? I would take the extra 200 million or so. I give him credit for ultimately realizing going with Rex was a disaster and hiring Beane--the rest was on autopilot for Pegula. The Sabres are what happens when he doesn't luck into a Beane. my point.
  4. It's hard to miss the NHL playoffs for 12 years. The nucleus has been discussed for years... He can still hang out with the team, etc. He should let someone else own/run/be President is all. Might be better for fans as well as the team. "Almost making the playoffs in year 12" isn't a great entry for a team President/Owner's resume for sports management. And yeah, he hired Beane who drafted Allen and the rest followed. Before that he Whaley'd and Rex'd...etc.
  5. GM needs to hit 2 HRs. QB and HC....
  6. How do you know this? Anyway, fracking was his first love----and he sold that business right when it's value peaked (and has since tanked). Then he bought a team that had known playoff success and turned it into one of regular season futility. I guess he can do what he wants. Be President of the Bills and the Sabres....
  7. By finally possibly reaching league relevancy, their value is maximized--that's why it would be a smart business move to sell. He can negotiate a Pegula Family suite in perpetuity to keep the (former) PSE goal of maintaining lifestyle alive. The fans would get the possibility of a better management scenario than a husband and wife with tons of cash.
  8. There's no chance KeyBank is viable without the Sabres. Check their bookings--it it absolutely dominated by them. For the next nearly 8 months, there are 9 total concerts/shows booked. https://www.keybankcenter.com/events/calendar
  9. they should cancel any preseason game if a guy falls down
  10. he throws a nice short pass...
  11. Serious spin? Come on. The data presented simply tells you that fewer than 1 int 10 of the respondents thinks Beane is the best GM. He got 1 more vote than Jerry Jones! "Serious spin" is concluding anything else from that poll. He's a good GM, leave it at that.
  12. come on....a back door Colt McCoy thread???
  13. yet....look a the Stanley cup Finals the past dozen years--littered with teams from Florida, also Dallas as well as LA and freaking Las Vegas. What ice have those fans ever seen except floating at the top of their Big Gulps? winning creates fans, not experience playing or even understanding hockey.
  14. lol after 12 years of ownership..."on the cusp" anyway..so what does that have to do with anything as far as he is concerned? It's at max value then. He should sell it to someone who could put together a consistent winner, not someone who would take 12 years to get to 2 games over .500.
  15. Well it only takes 2 or 3 voters out of 23 to get you top or top 5. The only thing one can take away from such a sample. is that Howie Roswman is the only standout as”best GM” as far as those polled are concerned
  16. Almost all of us here were frequently labeled as having no idea what we were watching re: Edmunds by a vocal few, so.....who knows? he's at least the best paid pile hopper in the NFL.
  17. well if the Bills are in the market for a backup that looks great in a preseason game or 2 against the guys who get waived tomorrow AND who McD is VERY comfortable with........there is a guy they can go after
  18. Keenum could win 11 games with this roster...
  19. That's an overplayed take. 2019-2021 the NFC was pretty solid at the top: GB, NO, Tampa Bay and then LA when Stafford got there. The AFC is a 3 team Conference.
  20. I bet he hasn't shown up to your birthday party in a few years...
