  1. No one cares about that. That's not what they are paying him for. The Falcons receiver stunk last year and Marriota had a better passing year. Ditto for Davis Mills. This isn't college--where he had a grand total of 22 starts at OSU...a school famous for not preparing their stat padding QBs for the NFL. This kid's draft stock is completely due to his one playoff game vs Clemson in 2020. He never should have entered the draft with that weak resume. In his 2 biggest games in his college career, he crapped the bed. As someone upstream said, this is a very bizarre hill to die on. He's awful at being an NFL QB---and getting worse.
  2. As a QB, what is Fields really good at?
  3. I'm here for the super fresh Brown And Gabe takes.
  4. I haven't once
  5. You have that backwards---I've stated that in every post. Coaches don't want it. Go yell at them for robbing you of all that kickoff excitement. No one has stopped watching the NFL because guys aren't getting drilled at the 21 yard line as much anymore...
  6. He had a nice game Sunday...
  7. There ya go!! You should have just led with that and skipped all the "legislated out" nonsense. Anyway, yeah, those days back when guys ran back a lot more kicks, struggling to get to the 25 yard line. Look, the owners and teams aren't complaining--in fact the latter are taking advantage of the rule to get better field position, not to "reduce concussions". If they thought returning the kick was a better play, they would. They know it never was, so they don't. Go look at the XFL return stats and tell us how that's a more exciting play Stop digging that hole.
  8. Hence, why he was singled out before the season starts.....
  9. Fins, Chiefs, Bills The rest are all pretty much the same mediocre bums.
  10. Would he be bringing Lamar Jackson with him?
  11. Come on. He ranked in bottom 5-6 RT in pressure rate allowed in 2022. The guy is a weak link on the O-line. It's OK to point that out.
  12. before the season started, he was singled out because of his performance last year. these aren't random comments people are making.
  13. you've done this in every post, repeating it ad nauseum: giving teams a choice and options isn't "legislating out kickoffs". simple as that.
  14. Elam as a rookie allowed 70% catch rate and 96 rating against. HE's been left off the roster for a reason by the coaching staff. Perhaps these practices v. the starters aren't going so well...
  15. Why would anyone consider naming a weak link on a team akin to making him "a punching bag"? I never understood this. For example, Saffold was a disaster. Does saying so make him "a punching bag"?
  16. It seems like only yesterday the board was fawning over young Spencer Brown....
  17. It's not week 1 Sunday. Who is he practicing against?
  18. This has been posted before. Problem is that Elam last year played 45-100% of the snaps in the 14 games he played in. He's hasn't put on a uniform on game day since Jaunuary---and they may toss him on Miami WRs stone cold?
  19. There is no rule that says that a player may not return any kicked ball. There, I've said it twice. It is the teams that are choosing the fair catch because they know the odds of returning a kick past the 25 yard line are less than 50%. They knew that last year as well, when only 6 teams averaged 25 or more yards per return (for a grand total of 6 TDs league wide). Now they have another option to be awarded the ball at the 25. Or they could return it. No "legislation" has changed that.
  20. white stinks and Garapolo isn’t taking a backup job
  21. I thought this was going to be a Dalton Kincaid thread....
  22. Mike White or Minshew over Aaron Rodgers? Oh yeah,...Definitely!!
  23. How many fair catches have there been this year? There is no rule preventing a returner, such as Hines, from running the kick back. They simply have to the option to fair catch it in bounds for a touchback. Returns certainly have not been "legislated out of the game"
  24. Not every touchback is kicked out of the endzone. kicks that are a few yards back of the goal line are let go and those a few yards short of the goal line are allowed to bounce in.
