NBC Sports: Mike Tomlin entering the final year of his contract
Mr. WEO replied to The Helmet of's topic in The Stadium Wall
Name Mitch Trubisky as starter next season. The opposite is true--at this point in this guy's tenure, you HAVE to look past that, especially if that's the only thing keeping him around. endless 9, 10 wins season with the occasional one and done shouldn't be that franchise's goal anymore. Their problem, obviously, is that the QB room that their HC and GM have assembled guarantees mediocrity going forward. -

OP posting about a swim move while highlighting Miller getting juked. lol.

Most kickoffs result in touchbacks. The few that are returned rarely make it to the 25 yard line and almost none are run back for a TD. Until recent injury, the punting has been excellent. Bass is missing kicks on his own. within the parameters of ST overall function--they are right in the middle of the pack, I would say. Major changes would result in imperceptible difference in outcome.

classic….what? There were 570 returns league wide and 4 TDs—a rate of 0.7%. That should convince anyone these are essentially random events that clearly don’t reflect any specific coaching philosophy or deficit or tendency.
-
it's only valid as satire (with the PGA as the butt of the joke)
-
you're not serious are you? Of all the kickoffs for the entire season in the NFL, there were a total of 4 returned for TDs. It's so exceedingly rare, there is absolutely nothing any specific ST coach can do to alter that outcome. come on...

well...he was playing with house money the whole time. nobody reasonably believed this guy was going to turn that team around---he just showed up, went through the motions, cashed the checks and let the city blame Snyder for every loss. He's no fool, but he's washed up all the same.

lol PGA busting on the NFL for selling one game to a streamer....while they sold their whole existence to the Saudis. PGA...some huge golf balls on those guys. they wish they had anything close to the NFL's pull with the public (and cash).
-
well...the money generated for the broadcaster for that one game is a direct cash infusion. Not so network broadcasts, where there is no direct link between any one game and revenue. The network games are prepaid by the network to the NFL for years in advance, so the per game cost is fixed for them. The revenue made back is on advertising and (if cable or streamer) subscription fees (which do not cover any one game in particular, but the entire streamer's or network's costs of doing all their business) over the subsequent years. So this is a HUGE deal for streamers---would people pay to watch a single game (or better yet, sign up and forget to cancel their annual subscription!). The answer is a resounding "yes". That one game had as many viewers as the entire 5 game World Series in 2023---which was broadcast on network TV. It's a proof of concept that will pave the way to actual per game PPV for playoffs or the Super Bowl.

It's a massive number for a one off PPV, new format. What are you talking about?

Frazier is again available for that role...

i don’t have a daughter who listens, nor do i. Your opinion seems based on a throw away comment by Ms Franklin (Soul was popular or “pop” music” in the time her big hits were released, but a music aficionado such as yourself surely knew that). All popular music is subjectively (not objectively) good or bad depending on one’s taste. That’s intuitive true—by definition. Your opinion on her level of talent is like some, and unlike many. It’s neither correct nor incorrect. There are countless big pop acts out there. None has ever drawn the audience’s her shows have. By all accounts it’s a good show. Your claim that those who disagree with your opinion on this persons talent are incapable of forming their own opinion except as a result of repressed sexual yearning betrays the fact that your analytic ability is not informed by significant intellectual capability, but instead a by fragile ego.
-
you've been analyzing the sexual desires of strangers based on their understanding of your musical preferences for 40 years? Do you get reimbursed for this?
-
Payton/Carmichael's coaching savvy ended when Brees retired. No thanks.
-
in your profession, this is called "projection"
-
not good enough to keep, I guess.

LOL--that may be the greatest sentence posted that I have seen in 15 years!!! anyway, pop "musical talent" (including A Franklin, in her day) is all subjective. So it actually is an indication of her musical talent. She writes songs, sings, plays instruments, runs her business...no talent there you can see?

the biggest money making tour in music history (by a country mile) would seem to argue many people disagree with you.

No way!!! This is news... Anyway, :
