Are you EJ's parent? One would have to think that if EJ is cut that the Bills made a final determination that he does not fit in with their plans. I want to see the Bills get better. If it means getting rid of certain feel good or likable players, then so be it.

Sure. If the Bills can get an RB who can rush for over 2000 yards during the season, then we can get by with crappy QB play and then be one and done in playoffs.

True. A team cannot block an assistant coach from seeking a promotion to HC elsewhere (though the other interested team still would ask for permission ). My point is that your original analogy involving Pettine's hiring and the CFL guy is faulty. Players and coaches are different. Wouldn't it be something if a star QB on under contract to an awful team could seek a "promotion" to an otherwise good team that has no decent QB.

A contract is a legal document for a player's services right? So why would there even need to be an agreement between the NFL and CFL to prevent a player from being poached when they are still signed with a team.

So in the end what was the point of this thread? This is not about greed as a number of posters here have pointed out that the tickets the NFL releases are at face value so there is no monopolistic profit being made by the NFL. The linked article essentially paints a portrait of how the ticket resellers are gambling on ticket availability because they are selling what they don't actually have in hand. The victims are the buyers who don't realize they may not actually have a ticket.
