  1. Didn't one of the Colts players admit that it didn't matter what types of balls they were playing with? Dwayne Allen said "They could have played with soap for balls and beat us. Simply the better team. We have to continue to build" http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/24981731/colts-te-dwayne-allen-patriots-were-simply-the-better-team
  2. Is the statistical analysis that you quote legit? There are a number of articles saying that the original analysis was amateurish .I believe a number of prominent posters here have already pointed that out as well. Nothing worse than stats being misused.
  3. Is there a player in NFL that likes losing in the Super Bowl?
  4. EJ is still a rookie . There have been some epic arguments about this on TBD.
  5. The tax exemption was only for the NFL corporate office. Nothing changes for individual teams as they were already taxable. Also, the corporate office was only required to divulge salary of top execs like Goodell specifically because of tax exempt status. Now they won't need to.
  6. That is true. But where are the Redskins now? Trading away their future netted them one fleeting season of glory.
  7. Will different coaching really change anything with EJ? I know people here love to blame Marrone and Hackett for EJ's very poor play . But that is just scapegoating. Kind of like how all the JP lovers blamed bad coaching for his sub-par play during his Bills years. Yet he never became a good QB, even after his stint with the genius Jim Fassel.
  8. So the Bills are selling tickets like hot cakes because of EJ?
  9. Aren't there a lot of teams out there that have had great success with mediocre to average LTs? A great WR can break open a game (see the Megatrons, Fitzgeralds , AJ Greens of the world) . You can't say the same about an LT.
  10. Well, Tebow does have one of the highest 4th Qtr QBRs. It's statistically significant and repeatable . So maybe they will have Bradford play 3 quarters and stick Tebow in 4th Qtr for win.
  11. He is chairman and CEO of Kraft Group not Kraft Foods.
  12. I love this thread.
  13. Well, according to a former performer, Luck is like the emperor's new clothes. So maybe the Colts finally got wise to things.
  14. His hands measure 8.75 inches. NFL teams usually want 10-11 these days I believe since small hands equate to fumbleitis and poor throws in miserable weather. At least EJs hands are big lol.
  15. Why does Gruden not want him ? And why is the owner willing to go with that decision ?
  16. Can RG3 succeed as a pocket QB? If not , don't see how you can consider him to be a franchise QB.
  17. Is there any insight that you can share on the matter? Certainly there has been a lot of wild speculation here on what was going on.
  18. Lots of failed QBs in the NFL won the Heisman and won at every level. Heisman is just not a good indicator of success for NFL. Stats are an objective way to look at performance. By most measures, Tebow comes up way short. That is unless 4th Qtr QBR becomes a legit way to measure QBs
  19. I wonder if the current odds represent some averaging based on possible QB scenarios. For instance, is there a differential if Cassel or Tyrod were to start?
  20. Your almost fanatical support for a wannabe NFL QB is interesting and hence merits a call out. I believe you've made an appearance on like 99% of the Tebow threads in the past few years ? If you bring up some rational and objective facts on why Tebow should still be considered for a QB position in the NFL, I'm willing to listen. Things like "he just wins" don't count.
  21. Where would TBD be without joe_the_six_pack.
  22. I'm surprised it took you so long to find this thread.
  23. Depends on what criteria was used to determine that Ponder was an upgrade. For instance , if wives were a criteria...
