  1. Hackenberg and Petty are former BB faves aren’t they
  2. I quickly googled this topic to try to see what might be available . Here is an article written by Matthew Fairburn based on interview with Russ: http://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2015/10/bills_sabres_president_russ_brandon_new_role_criticism_unbelievable_year.html A direct quote from Russ himself: " I've never drafted a player. The funny thing is, the one draft that a lot of people pinned on me, it was a great draft with the exception of the first-round pick (Aaron Maybin in 2009). All that credit goes to Tom Modroff. That's part of the business. I get a kick out of it sometimes."
  3. Brandon never had the GM title even when Levy retired right? So seems to be some revisionist type stuff going on . Why would a guy who was never in operations even attempt to run a draft?
  4. I still don't get why we are insisting that Russ Brandon drafted players?
  5. Wasn't he one of the most NFL ready from last year's draft?
  6. Maybe another team in NFL can give him a shot if his baseball career sputters. Lol sure he did.
  7. Didn't the Bills wipe the floor with the Broncos during the one game we played them during Tebow era?
  8. Of course. Tebow just wins ;-) Just like Manziel.
  9. What about Cousins and his confirmed ties to Buffalo? Also , the Mike McCoy hiring.
  10. Yes. I watched the game where he injured his knee. Saying that Shanahan ruined RG III though is disingenuous. Only RG III himself is responsible for his being an afterthought in the NFL. Maybe he will catch on again if someone puts him back in an offense built around a runner who passes. But in a league where pocket passing is best way to succeed, seems doubtful.
  11. What will you do if no trade happens?
  12. In what way did Shanahan ruin him? RGIII Is a failure because he cannot stand in the pocket and read a defense and hasn't bothered to try to learn how . Was part of the one year read option fad along with Kap.
  13. Wasn't that SaviorPeterman attending high level business meetings ? ;-) Dunkirk Don was independently wealthy and had an investment group to buy up land near the next Bills stadium in Letchworth
  14. Well, Dunkirk Don said that he correctly called a lot of big news items.
  15. Again what kind of passes did Tebow have to throw? Did he have to thread passes into tight windows or was he throwing to wide open guys.
  16. I think its a bit much to say that completion stats are completely meaningless. EJ like a number of college QBs benefited from huge talent differential between his team and opponent so was completing a lot of passes to wide open receivers? Despite the gaudy college completion rate though, scouts said he was not accurate. Scouts are saying that Allen is inaccurate as well.
  17. C'mon man. You should know how gifted EJ really was after seeing how many folks here went up to bat for him when he was seemingly being marginalized by Bills ;-) EJ was ruined by Marrone and all he needed was a fresh start to light it up.
  18. Why not approach it differently. Would you go instead with the one that has a lower payout but higher chance of winning?
  19. I dont think many people will question whether or not higher scores mean better QB s. The test wont help you predict who will be the next HOF QB. However, it should at least help flag a prospect who isn't playing with a full deck and probably should be avoided. Would you honestly draft a QB in first round who scored a 6?
  20. Fair enough. I believe McNair has been on ballot twice now.
  21. Mcnair and McNabb are in the Hall of Fame? That seems like news to me.
  22. Awesome. We should pin this post along with the others touting Allen to see how the prediction looks later on I will take a wait and see approach.
  23. Lots of people keep citing the Jim Kelly and Dan Marino scores. But they played decades ago. Different game. Any recent QBs with below average (<20) scores who are franchise / elite?
  24. The average score on Wonderlic is 20. 10 means that the person meets minimum literacy standard iirc.
