As per your non stop roid talk

“Hopefully before the season starts maybe we can get the games down a little bit,” he said. “It wasn’t on me. I’m pretty much a naturopathic person. What it was is it’s called ostarine. There was 0.1% found in my system. If you know what that is, you know it’s contamination — not something directly taken.

According to WebMD, ostarine — which is not FDA approved — is a type of drug that is called a selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM) and is often used for athletic performance, as well as “involuntary weight loss due to illness, breast cancer, and many other conditions.”

Ostarine is an anabolic agent ,  ie , used to build muscle mass.  So it functions a lot like steroids.     Its banned in athletics for a reason.

When the team is doing well and/or exceeding general expectations, as it has done the past few years, minus, probably, last season, this question is kind of moot.

But if and when the team is not meeting expectations or things get complicated, is there anyone in Pegula's circle of friends or trusted business associates (at arm's length from Bills operations) who he can turn to for advice and counsel on questions related to extensions, evaluations, or possible firings?

I'm not trying to be negative; I hope McBean lead us to multiple championships... but if things don't go as well as we hope — and with an elite QB things should mean serious contention for a Super Bowl — is Terry on his own or who advises him?

Pegula seems, obviously, like a sharp businessman, but he doesn't strike me as a football expert. Maybe I'm wrong but I expect him to turn to someone if and when he needs to make tough decisions.

Terry seeks advice from the poster formerly known as @IronMaidenBills (now @Araiza Curse) who has touted on this board how good a GM he is

Last year I recall hearing / seeing that Gabe was bulking up- being a gym rat.

anyone hear what he is doing this offseason?
would like to hear that he is working with Knox’s eye/hand coordination guru. And running a lot of routes, catching a lot of passes….in preparation for the breakout year he should have had last season.

did Gabe add some bracelets with stick ‘‘em glue reservoirs in the off-season too?  Not sure that being a gym rat helps his game at all

Do I really have to mention Tom Brady, a pick is a pick especially with the the QBs making as much as they do and the salary cap

sure but getting a brady is not the norm for the sixth round.  with few exceptions, sixth round picks don't amount to much as only around 10-15% make the roster...

if araiza was picked in rounds 1-3 than there is definitely an argument about a wasted pick

That's really not the issue, one we lost a cost controlled player for 4 years, his talent aside. We had to spend more to replace him and we lost a draft pick. Now I know they said they did there due dlilly, but once social media gotta hold off this they tied our hands.

a sixth round pick?   thats hardly worth crying about.

The Bills should have just ignored the outside presence. Don’t answer any questions and avoid it. Now they lost out on a generational talent for nothing.

I have no doubt that if someone does pick him up they will go to a superbowl because he can kick the ball way down field.  Lol.

Both the gm an head coach should go out on national TV an apologize to Matt araiza..an matt should not only sue the ***** out of that 2 dollar ***** but the buffalobills as well for wrongfully termination

You do understand the concept of at will employment right?  The Bills owe nothing to Araiza and he has no basis to sue them.

I know they made some changes in between... but that doesn't diminish the point. The point is progress has its own peaks and troughs. Every NFL team is a different team each year. Every season is its own season.

Take the Ravens where Harbaugh inherited a pretty good team in 2008 and made the AFC title game year 1. They then took a step back the next two years, losing twice in the divisional round including a battering by Indy, before going back to lose in a second AFCCG and then the year after ultimately won their Superbowl.

You can do it by going the progress route. But you don't always.

    Fair enough

He’s not good john. We have a bottom 5 backup qb situation. Foles shows you how important having a good backup is.

I have nothing against Kyle. I’m just against bad qbs. As a bills fan, I can recognize bad qbs prettt easy. I’d love to upgrade the position. I would float a 7th for Willis on the Titans and see if we can develop him here.

Really?   Didn't you spend seasons propping up EJ even after it was obvious he sucked?  Lol

Okay there is much less here I would take issue with a lot of this is fair. The are just two things I'd say:

    1. Progression isn't always linear. I was saying this after 2020 as well when a lot of fans were like "AFC Championship last year, Superbowl this year." It isn't that simple. The Rams made the Superbowl, lost and missed the playoffs the next year. Their step came 2 years later. There is a lot of randomness to the NFL.

    2. I am not sure that I agree Beane was evasive. I think that is the wrong word. I think he was less positive than other end of year pressers. But I don't think he was evasive, he was honest about the limitations of what he could do to improve the roster.

Thats not really a good example.  The Rams did a lot of retooling including a blockbuster trade to get Stafford as their QB

I’m betting an uncomfortable amount of money on the Bills over 10.5. If healthy, 12-5 is the floor. Assuming that it isn’t like -145 or something crazy.

I am going to bet 1/2 the cost of a Super Bowl trip. If the Bills go, I will basically go for 1/2 price (or less if I win tickets in the lottery or through some connections). If they don’t go, it will roughly cover the cost of my seats next season. Win/win

Now did you tell your wife / family about this? paging @BuffaloRush aka @JohnNord lol

Bad, by any objective measure.  I’ll say no more.

What are these objective measures of yours ? Revenue ?  Attendance ?  Owner satisfaction ?  These would be some typical  measures for a commissioner and I believe they are trending up post COVID .  So yours  seem to be more subjective ….
