This reminds me of how a number of folks used to tout Tim Tebow's extremely high QBR in the 4th quarter as proof that "he just wins" . Thankfully, Josh looks a lot better as a QB currently than Tebow ever did.

If he continues to fly on private jets, pays for a private chef and thousands in grocery bills each week, and keeps his posse, money will become tight without revenue coming in.

Flacco was done more than 2 years ago . Got hot for one Superbowl run which allowed him to get paid and tie up too much of the cap. All for mostly mediocre QB play.

Given how well regarded Chad is by a number of TBD faithful , you would think that he would get picked up by some other team rather than clear waivers.

Of course Kap is still part of the NFL . He can even get a pension as he has met the minimum service requirement... The only thing he needs to do to get his pension is retire :p

You're being a bit disingenous. San Fran had a top rushing attack and defense to support Kaepernick during the Harbaugh years. If you asked Kaepernick to carry a team using the same Read Option scheme without as good support on both sides of the ball, you think he would still have done as well?

From the NFL site, for the 2015 season the Carolina defense was ranked 6th for total defense. In contrast , Carolina was only ranked 11th for total offense and just 24th for passing offense. Cam was very efficient for sure that year and that is why he got the votes for MVP. But I think people downplay the fact that there was a perfect storm for team effort that year.

After 2015 , Cam has had 2 bad seasons and 1 "ok" season. Injury and loss of key players (Josh Norman cough cough) may be cited as reasons for the sub par succeeding seasons. But after last night's loss in which Cam often missed easy throws to open receivers and couldn't gain positive yardage on carries, one wonders if Cam has any way to adjust to a game after his physical abilities may have gone into a steep decline. More traditional pocket QBs can compensate as they age / decline because they know how to read a defense and can use their remaining physical abilities to their fullest.
