  1. It is sarcasm. You were likely on hiatus during the time we had like half a dozen threads about the need for offense and entertainment. This is a tongue in cheek take on the ridiculous position .
  2. Nice prediction. Was a good day for the defense to step up.
  3. Josh only passed for 206 yards and we only got 10 offensive points. This game was primarily won by defense . But it want entertaining. I heard we need 300 yard passing games with lots of points. And shouldn’t care about defense.
  4. You take away Henry and most of the time you will get performances like last weekend from Tannehill . 165 yards passing and 1 TD and 1 INT for a mediocre QB rating of 83. Lets see what Jimmy G does if he is off loaded. He may look good on the Pats with a Josh McDaniel. But then again, he Cam looked awful this season except when he was acting like an RB.
  5. Umm. Tannehill is on a team that is run heavy and isn't really being asked to throw the ball a lot? The Titans passing offense is bottom half of the league....
  6. Didn't Shanahan focus on the run because he realized what a limited QB Jimmy was. Jimmy isn't the type of QB that can carry a team with his arm if the defense and run game fails.
  7. Did you come up with this idea while having a few beers too lol.
  8. Nope. The team that loses the coach gets the picks. Its essentially an incentive to "develop" minority coaches for future leadership role.
  9. Fair point. But if there is a Justin Fields sitting at #3 , what do they do ? 😛 I believe Fields is considered a better QB than Tua coming out? I remember the Cardinals saying that Josh Rosen was their QB for quite a while in early 2019 before they went ahead and got Murray.
  10. Its easy . The Cardinals gave up on Rosen after 1 year.
  11. Flacco wasn't really a factor beyond the one Superbowl run and possibly that one other season where they got schooled by Belichick via a rule trick . The other seasons he was more of an albatross for the Ravens/
  12. There have been a number of analysis done on defer vs receive. The below analysis says that receiving the ball in the 2nd half results in an extra point on average plus a 12% chance of "stealing" a possession. https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/analysis/opening-kickoff-receive-or-defer/#:~:text=Deciding whether to receive or,of games on the margins.&text=A lot of factors play, half when given the chance.
  13. He still isn't free . I recall seeing that the case goes back to the District first and then based on what happens there (ie does the DA want to re try), he may be free.
  14. Luckily , I tend not to put myself in a situations like Cardell who went after Smith and then rammed his car . Any reasonable person would have just called the police to report the accident rather than try to take the matter into their own hands where the outcome would quickly go bad which it did.
  15. Yes. He is accurate when the receiver is wide open like they were in Alabama 😛
  16. yup. and there are over a thousand other cases in louisiana right now that have this split verdict problem.
  17. Now I am going to ask you if you read the story. The supreme court vacated the conviction because its a split verdict... Its not because of the individual merits of the case. But he didn't though... The supreme court threw it out because its a split verdict--a backwards rule in louisiana that they ruled violates the sixth amendment. Its now up to the New Orleans prosecutor to decide if he wants to try this again.
  18. So in a hypothetical self defense situation it’s ok to unload a whole clip even if someone was already down because of fear?
  19. Lol . I had to have read it to get the details on the bullets. Didn’t Hayes chase down Smith after the accident ? Also, a lot of this is he said she said because although Smith had a gun, it was still in his car untouched?
  20. eight bullets into smith and another two into his wife is self defense?
  21. Lots of Steelers fans wanted to see Mason Rudolph put in during the playoff game on Sunday lol.
  22. For the one game sure, but as the justification for Lurie parting ways?
  23. The whole notion of losing the locker room seemed silly. A number of articles mention the struggle with selection of the coaching assistants as a major conflict.
