say hello to the idiots!!! Trading Lee sets the franchise back again. Can we stop trading away good players, how bout we get a worthy WR on the other side to help him out. Lets not forget he don't have great QB's getting him the ball....
Our receiving corps looks fine as it is. I don't see receiver as a key need for next season.

As for Newton, a lot of these "character" issues are BS. I work in the education field and can tell you that school isn't for everyone. Newton has found his career path. By all accounts, he is a great teammate and leader. Personally, I couldn't give a crap if he cheated on some meaningless class or his father took some money while he makes the school millions of dollars. All I care about is what he does on the football field. And there, he is flat out awesome.
Hmmm. Why did Newton leave Florida? What about his arrest for stealing someone's laptop that he threw out the window when the police showed ip? Was that also BS?

I was going to post the same thing until I found yours. I would trade them for spiller strait up! Tebow is a stud and would be an all pro under Chan.
Since we are contemplating such a trade why not go all out? Let's go for Brady Quinn! After all, a lot of experts on the board said he would be a top qb.

You are comparing apples oranges. Clarett played all of one year of college ball? How many seasons did Vick have under his belt in college and the NFL level?

The Eagles can't franchise them both and there is no way they will pay them both Tier 1 money. The way that Vick is playing, and the extension that McNabb just signed mean that the Eagles can't afford them both.
Now we just have to see what happens with the CBA.
Kolb is not a free agent next year. His contract runs through the 2011 season...

Agreed. Carolina has a lot of other holes to address. Would they really go for another QB as a number of folks here are saying?

I sure as hell don't want to draft a QB #1 just to have Brohm be the guy!

Brohm was picked in the 2nd round. I believe no 56 overall. Hardly a number 1 pick.

Yup. I saw the game against Atlanta last season and watched a few preseasons too. Nothing there too impress any coaches IMO.
What particular series of plays lead you to believe he is the second coming?

Brohm was a highly rated QB when Drafted and he MAY be better then Fitzpatrick. I would like to see for myself!
The coaches see Brohm in practice all the time.... You have some insight that they don't? Would Brohm magically play lights out football when inserted into a game? Maybe they should put Brohm in to start against the Steelers. If he leads us to a win, no need to worry about Luck or another top ranked qb lol.

We saw Bell compete against 3rd and 4th string players. Promising at times is as far as I go.
I would have to agree. Bell may have looked promising in pre-season. But the fact that the Eagles released him--even though they are not exactly deep at running back--seems to say something.

Remember that the top pick goes to the team with the easiest schedule, not the hardest. Go Dallas, Go Carolina!
So lets say Dallas or Carolina gets the top pick. Would Dallas pick a QB with Romo still there? And would Carolina pick a QB after using a 2nd on Claussen this year?

Just some more evidence that C.J. Spiller is not a capable NFL running back. Ouch. This one really stings - I hope hope hope we can turn him into a slot WR so we can get some return on investment.

If Modrak was good at his job he would have had Maybin rated no higher than the 4th round. In that case, the “circle jerk of trust” decided to draft the highly un-recommended 4th round prospect that the lame duck halfway fired HC wants? Sorry if I don’t buy that scenario either.
Which expert had Maybin rated as 4th round material? The Thoner7 report?
As mentioned by othe folks already, Maybin was projected as a 1st rounder by most of the gurus.

This week everyone can get a much clearer look at the true Ryan Fitzpatrick, and why he will always be a backup. Jacksonville is terrible, and having a good game against the worst secondary in the league doesn't prove much of anything. A solid Baltimore defense is going to put him on lockdown, and his QB rating will fall.

What makes you think Brian Brohm will ever start in the NFL? Rex Grossman at least has had a history of successful NFL starts with the Bears.
