  1. Ah ok. I had recalled reading somewhere that they had it. Now I see its actually the Texans. Wow. From being a Super Bowl contender to dead last. Yikes.
  2. Can a new coach build a team around RG3? Or is he a flawed QB that was not worth trading away your future for? The Rams are getting the first overall pick in the 2014 draft now thanks to the trade. Ouch.
  3. How well did Joe Gibbs do when he came back for a second stint after an extended absence from coaching? Not so hot. Cowher was not as a accomplished or innovative coach as Gibbs . So no thanks.
  4. It's interesting how a whole bunch of people thought that things were looking up for Shanahan last season because he had found a "franchise " Qb. Now , by all accounts , he is not going to be back in Washington next season after finishing at 3-13 (projected ).
  5. He has put up big numbers with a revolving door qb situation. That's pretty impressive.
  6. Yes. If you watch the film, you should see that Fitz was getting rid of the ball pretty quickly because the protection wasn't that good.
  7. I find it quite interesting how a number folks like to make these excuses for their QB of the month / year. Yet, when the same problems plague other QBs (e.g., Fitz) ,they just go out and say "he sucks. lets get rid of him" . I'm not a Fitz fan mind you. But seems like we have some double standards.
  8. What was good about his rookie year??? His completion rate was less than 60% . A TD to INT ratio that is below 1. And his QB Rating was only in the 70s. Thats pretty mediocre. GP CMP ATT CMP% YDS AVG TD LNG INT FUM QBR RAT 16 282 484 58.3 3,294 6.81 12 80 13 5 50.4 76.1
  9. All I know is that we need to get rid of Fred based on that other thread someone started ...
  10. Its really simple. Its good because of EJ's big hands.
  11. Kaepernick's mind blowing stats for 2013 are below. He is averaging a 57.8 % completion rate and 192.7 yards/game. San Fran is not really winning games because of his awesome play. The defense keeps them competitive. 12. Isn't Trent really tough to stop in Madden?
  13. Yup. OL is a big problem on Indy right now. Even Luck is running for his life at times.
  14. Mike Vick as a QB is nowhere near the elite level talent that Barry was as an RB.
  15. I watched the game and saw that . It does look like he stood there intentionally...
  16. The Advanced NFL Stats site did a study on this. They said that in about 30% of all overtime losses in their sample , the losing team never got to touch the ball. That is a lot. http://www.advancednflstats.com/2008/10/how-important-is-coin-flip-in-ot.html
  17. Matt Flynn : 10 of 20 139 yards 1 int. 'nough said .
  18. It's not a good sign though that this is already the second time he has been released by the QB needy Raiders.
  19. I agree . The new rules are pretty straightforward. Not sure why there are a lot of folks out there complaining about them. Its a lot fairer than having a team win based on winning the coin toss and then kicking a FG.
  20. So the Polians plus Jim Caldwell decided to tank the season and lose their jobs so that Indy can get Luck? Must have been quite the payoff for them.
  21. It's amazing how the Jets fans are already classifying Geno as a bust and clamoring for another qb.
  22. Fair enough. ST play has cost us in a number of instances.
  23. Have Bobby April coached special teams actually been any good since the major rule chage to eliminate wedges? The Eagles had bad special teams during his stint there. And I see that the Raiders have a pretty average ST ranking currently.
  24. Unless you are part of a union or if there is something in your employment contract that places limits on reasons for termination, you can be terminated for practically any reason . That's what "employed at will means" . There are some exceptions (e.g., discrimination that is forbidden by law ). Being drunk and stupid at a football game is not one of the exceptions.
