  1. I would give a 4th for him.
  2. Well , at least I think Tannehill finally threw that 4th touchdown pass against us that Barbarian predicted he would 2 seasons ago
  3. How was RGIII special? During that first season , he sure looked like just another runner who occasionally passed the ball to someone wide open. As proven time and again, no one can last in NFL doing that. He's a mess now that he is being asked to stay in pocket and actually read a defense and throw the ball with anticipation of where the receiver will be--the types of things that an actual QB does.
  4. Lovie may be on the market again soon if Tampa continues down this path . Should the Bills get him.
  5. YPC is not a stat that gets someone into the hall of fame. Lee was only good at running straight down the field and catching the occasional bomb. Thats why his career didnt last.
  6. Should the Ravens also invite him to lead the charge at some point ? I seem to recall an awesome thread where it was stated that Lee Evans single handedly altered the dynamic of the Ravens and Steelers rivalry because he was an awesome decoy.
  7. "...He looks like a bust only compared with what the team paid to get him, trading away the chance for four top players to get one quarterback. By one analysis at the time, to justify that trade, Griffin would have needed to perform at the level of Tom Brady, who has three Super Bowl rings with the New England Patriots."
  8. I went to the ESPN site and got a significantly different list.... 2014 Regular Season NFL Leaders RK PLAYER TOTAL QBR 1 Kirk Cousins, WSH 93.7 2 Peyton Manning, DEN 92 3 Derek Anderson, CAR 89.6 4 Ryan Fitzpatrick, HOU 84.1 5 Matthew Stafford, DET 81.4 6 Carson Palmer, ARI 79.9 7 Matt Ryan, ATL 74 8 Philip Rivers, SD 73.6 9 Aaron Rodgers, GB 72.1 10 Drew Brees, NO 71.1
  9. One very important thing to not forget about Eli is that he is eating up 20 Mil in cap space on Giants this year. Next year he is projected to have an impact of ~19.75 Mil. Hard to cobble together a talented team when your not so elite QB has that much of a cap hit
  10. All scoring plays are automatically reviewed...
  11. Cmon guys . I remember quite a few posters from just the past two years saying how they would love to have Eli because he is "clutch" . Nevermind that they mostly ignored the fact that there were 52 other players (like the very stout defensive line that Giants had ) who greatly contributed to those Giants runs. Lets make the trade by throwing in Mario and Kyle to sweeten the deal.
  12. So you are jumping on the bandwagon now?
  13. Actually, Henne is the starter for the Jags and not Bortles. Before they got Bortles as their prospective future QB earlier this year, the Jags had a number of opportunities to pick up Tebow. They never did.
  14. Ok. So obviously you like Tebow. Unfortunately , no NFL team does . When a QB desperate team like the Jaguars, which is even situated near Tebow 's old college stomping grounds , says "No Thanks" it's pretty much all she wrote . Enjoy watching Tebow on GMA and ESPN college football.
  15. Can we pin this post somewhere? =)
  16. This is all pure speculation on your part.
  17. Can you explain how all this magical spending outside of players truly helps ? The Sabres have been bottom feeders the past two seasons despite the awesome spend that you cite . Green Bay has public ownership and is not backed by seemingly endless wealth . We don't see fancy spending from them on gleaming facilities or expensive trainers. Yet year and and year out they are contenders. It's not about spending the most money. It's about being lucky in getting a critical mass of players who have talent and coaches who can harness.
  18. Thank you. Some posters didnt seem to understand that the cap also has a minimum spend component. It was never the case that the Bills were cheap and were way below the cap.
  19. There is something called the salary cap...
  20. Still scratching my head on the Cowher love. Seems less and less likely that he will be part of an NFL team again given his long absence. Also , he was never really an innovator and relied heavily on his assistants (see Dick Lebeau).
  21. Promo, You should know by now that Elite QBs single handedly win games and can magically make players around them better. It doesn't matter if the other 52 players are awful . Lol . Gotta love the sports cliches.
  22. Eli's career average QB rating is 81. That is at best just above average. Drew Brees has an average of 95 while Aaron Rodgers has an average of 101. Those are elite numbers. Eli may make the hall of fame but it probably won't be first ballot.
  23. Normally , betting against Fitz is likely a good proposition . But if the other QB is RGIII, and you have a defensive line like Houston ....
  24. You can easily amass high QB ratings by not having to do much because of a stout defense. Take a look at the number of attempts and yardage for Wilson and compare to other tob QBs such as Brees, Brady, Manning. He was asked to do a lot less...
  25. A balanced team is almost always going to win over a one sided team?
