    In his rookie season, RG3 played in a gimmick offense that did not require him to sit back in pocket and read a defense. Read option offenses don't work anymore. And RG3 hasn't been able to adjust to that.

    Well Chip Kelly is a genius who can make any QB look elite.

    Foles's current replacement Sanchize is not a dual threat QB . No one would be afraid of him trying to run the ball. For all his supposed athleticism, EJ runs like a headless chicken. So I don't see how he would fit into a dual threat role.

    I'm all for Bryce being productive. Just have to hope that he doesn't cough up the ball.

    The 2013 Draft QB class is looking pretty bad. I wonder if Manuel will still be a Bill next season if management is in a "Win now" mode.

    How well are the Seahawks doing with that read option ? I think it's mainly Marshawn keeping them in games now . The passing game is crap for the Seahawks .

    I think WEO is implying that the Shanahans were geniuses for managing to make RGIII look good for one season by coming up with a scheme that would mask his inability to run a traditional offense.

    Love the Sanchez apologists. Let me give it a try for Orton... For the Orton critics-- he was 4 - 5 for 48 yards , 1 TD and no turnovers during their first series agains Chiefs, but he had another 21 team members. Bryce Brown and Leodis were just unstoppable in fumbling the ball.

    Nah it's not at all similar. Sanchez's performance today--despite the brilliance of Chip Kelly--is typical of his body of work.

    It's potentially the start of a decent analysis . But is this truly an apples to apples comparison? For instance , are the defenses that we faced through the first 9 games the same in terms of ranking ? I suspect it's not .

    Trade EJ to Jets for Geno. They can both benefit from a change of scenery. And besides I know a number of posters here love QBs that throw nice looking balls like Geno does.
