  1. ...like Mark Sanchez drops back to throw for the first time this season and his achilles mysteriously pops (ala Vinny Testaverde 1999)... maybe Tom Brady goes into downtown Buffalo the night before our home match this year and gets hit by an SUV and ends up losing a limb (WOW, that would make Marshawn our team MVP this season, whether or not he actually touches the ball once this season)... and perhaps, the entire part of South Florida breaks off and sinks into the sea... do you think we have a shot at the wildcard?
  2. I wish we could get some proven o-line talent in here via trade (especially Gaither), but i truly believe that Nix is determined to make this team through the draft. Hopefully its not his ego stopping him from making what seems to be a "no-brainer" trade for proven talent.
  3. I'm excited to have a new Wang to tell all my friends about. Jeez, he's the biggest Wang I ever did see! But to speak of this Wang is probably just Wong...
  4. This may be true, but i ask you this... How many of these 3-5 starters would start for a contending team? That answer is the sad truth
  5. True, just speculating. They hardly ever trade up, infact, i think they only traded up once - to get Troy Polumalu. Still a chance they might, but probably not gonna bet the house on it...
  6. With the trade of Santanio Holmes they are going to be targeting a WR in this years draft, why not go after the most talented guy at the position in the draft? Dez Bryant will be sitting there at #9 for us, then come all the suitors: Jacksonville, Miami and Denver. If Pitt is looking for a game changer, this guy could be the guy for them. A trade from 18 to 9 would land us their #1, #2 and likely #5 in the trade. Would def change our options in the draft... I would guess if Bulaga or Clausen are there at #9, we would not make the trade. Who knows, we're all getting smoke blown up our butts at this time of year with ALL teams intentions anyway...
  7. Exactly the scenario i see unfolding. Just like when we traded down with tampa in 2001. I think we moved down from like 14 to 21. We got Nate Clements, they took Kenyatta Walker. We also got their second round pick that turned into Travis "Baby Maker" Henry. I wouldn't mind relieving the Texans of their 2nd round pick in this deep draft. I would imagine Jimmy Clausen is our pick at 20. The second round, we take LT Saffold and DT Cody or Cam Thomas. I would be excited (although Clausen appears to be a boom or bust - i'd still chance it). Fills needs w/o reachind. Of course, this isn't even realistic, since its logical...
  8. well, i guess he can run all over the field and be useless... perfect fit... get er done, buddy
  9. his sack numbers would be even further through the roof! probably an extra 30-50 sacks. what i've been thinking recently is that he would probably project to an OLB in a 3-4 scheme in todays NFL. i believe he played at somewhere around 265 for the bulk of his playing time. probably would've had more than 1 interception in his career (btw, i was at that game against the JETS in the early 90's when he made a ridiculous play to snare the pick). couldn't find the pick, but this should suffice...
  10. something about his name leaves a bad taste in my mouth...
  11. btw, anyone saying to ship him to washington for campbell, two things: washington has 3 starting caliber hbs and washington is likely to rescind jason campbells 1 yr offer, in light of the dmc trade, thus making him free to sign with whoever. so, in summary, although he's not that good, he's not stupid enough to sign with us anyway!
  12. while we're here farting around, somebody else is getting ready to sign the "Hold-all Hotel". He's well beyond on-the-decline. Pass, or better yet... RUN!
  13. We really need for our team to NOT draft Tim Tebow with our first pick. Heck, I don't think he's worth our second round pick just based on our needs and how long it takes, if ever, to develop him into a legit NFL QB. Bulaga/T. Williams are probably our best bets at 9. At 41, I hope Cody is available. If not, maybe a reach for Cam Thomas is in order to sure up 1 of our weakest spots. I think this draft should be all about getting as many big uglies as possible. I wouldn't be upset if we didn't draft any skill position players... ALL BIG UGLIES!!! Ok, maybe a linebacker and a wide receiver, but the rest should be BIG UGLIES!!!
  14. a guy named Troy Polomolu. I believe it was the first time in Steelers history that they traded up to get a player. I think he could be pretty good one day...
  15. fixed, smarty-pants
  16. totally agree. made it on his reputation almost every year. seemingly had the most holding/false starts ever for a nine time probowler. on the other hand, he's a real cool guy.
  17. ive always loved mcnabb. that being said, i would fear for his health unless we forgo the defense and draft some o-line prospects to keep him from getting killed out there. either way, we're not gonna be a playoff caliber team without addressing our defensive deficit. he's good, but he won't help our d (well, except for maybe giving them a bit of a rest by having some successful drives).
  18. lets not forget the good things... he did win a ring with... the pats*
  19. he's the biggest #2 EVER
  20. Ditto. I'm 5'8"/208lbs. I'm the same size as Barry Sanders and have the same skills, except the following: I may have lost a step on top of my less-than-fashionable 40 time, my ankles hurt when a walk up stairs... oh, and i don't like getting hit by bigger people. Do you think the Bills could give me a 1 year deal?... i'm only 37!
  21. we need big uglies w attitudes!!!
  22. a scat back, in my eyes, is really just a luxury. we need to build in the trenches. lets get the big uglies this year. if we need more uglies next year, i say we get them before any scat backs again. no to the scat back and defininately no to culpepper. we've sucked for 10 years, why not take our lumps for a couple more years and build a contender... a scat back is a final piece, not a building block....
  23. 0 rings. Antowain Smith, the one that couldn't run through a wet paper bag, got 2 rings w the Pats*
  24. Antowain Smith. Big, Strong back that ran like a little prepubescent girl. He still had a couple of decent linemen blocking for him too...
