Buffalo BillsRecord: 4-12 * Marcell Dareus, DE, AlabamaBuffalo has started to assemble the pieces for its 3-4 defense and Dareus has outstanding pass-rush skills and fits as a defensive end in the system. This is too early to take an offensive tackle in terms of value, but it's a good opportunity to land an ideal fit if the Bills don't want to trade down. I'm sure some Bills fans would clamor for a guy like A.J. Green in this spot, but after 2010 the Bills simply have to address the lines, and the development of Stevie Johnson limits the receiver need anyway. -
believe it or not, the draft value chart says that the #3 overall pick is worth 2200 points. the #10 is worth 1300 points. in order to move up from 10 to 3 , it would take the their 1st (1300 pts), 2nd (480 pts), 3rd (220 pts), 4th (82 pts), 5th (37 pts), 6th (23.4 pts), and 7th (10.6 pts) and that still doesnt add up (2153 pts). it would prob take their 1st and 2nd round this year and a 2nd and 4th next year. don't think it'll happen.

Ok....let me ask this.....if Luck declares
rocwocka replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sadly, I just looked up the NFL trade chart values. For us to move up from #3 to #1, it would cost us our #3 (1st round), #35 (2nd round) and #67 (3rd round) in this years draft. Unfortunately, Luck is only a QB and not know for his linebacking skills. We have way too many pressing needs to roll the dice on someone who COULD be great. Don't dream, it's over. -
Well played, sir

Moats may have ended Favre's (bad recently) career. thoughts?

no, i know that there will def b a 2011 draft no matter if theres a lock out or not. im just curious what happens if there is a complete stoppage and assume no 2011 nfl season. i still believe they have a draft in 2012. hmmm, i wonder if none of the 2011 drafted players get signed, due to no new collective bargaining agreement, if they all enter the 2012 draft again - now thats a mess. i would hope that wouldnt b the case...

i don't see how a lottery works w our situation. a lotery is to stop teams from purposely tanking, but if we end up with the 1st pick in next years draft and dont play any football all of 2011, how do they punish us with a lottery. if anything, it would probably be best to give the worst nfl teams 2 years to try to level the playing field.

I say, why not?... Buffalo's been kissing it's sister for a while.

It's gonna be really hard to get any free agents to even consider the Bills and we are certainly more than a couple really good drafts away from even mentioning playoffs. Guess we're kinda stuck waiting for the pieces to eventually fall into place...

Now we know why Gailey was enamoured with Trent

That we are realistically looking at a winless season. The Jags, Lions and Browns are our best bet for a win, but I honestly can't say that we even have a good chance against any of them. I am a Bills fan through and through, but this year looks like its gonna be complete famine in the win column. It's gonna be extra cold in Buffalo this year...

Dolphins trade WR Camarillo to the Vikings
rocwocka replied to Fitzmagic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
ummm, didn't everyone? -
I guess everyone seems to forget that we TRIED to sign him after his time in Tennesee, he opted to go to San Diego and be a back-up instead of being back-down in Buffalo. F him - he is just collecting a check - he obviously has no interest in trying to be competitive.

Jason Lacanfora just reported Bills and Spiller not close
rocwocka replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
who cares how late he is, he's a running back - they have the most improvisational position. He won't be in on 3rd downs - that'll def be Freddie's roll (blitz pick-ups are never for rookies). the one area that he'll need to catch up on is his routes (depending on how often theyre splitting him out wide), and he's not gonna be expected to pick those up right away either - i mean, look at receivers - they take a couple years to get those down... -
If we beat the Titans, do we win the Superbowl in 2000?
rocwocka replied to Skoobydum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
simply put: no. the Rams were the team of destiny that year. -

flutie was drafted into the nfl. he made the mistake of crossing the picket line when they were on strike in 87 and become somewhat of a pariah in the nfl... eleven years later, all was forgiven and he showed what he could do

Well spoken, sir.

The reason we aren't going to go out and get a LT
rocwocka replied to Russ 'Em's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey guys, not to be a Debbie Downer but, even if we hit on all our picks and some of the UFAs, we will not even be close to holding the jocks of the Pats* and Jets for a couple of years. They are proven in the most vital areas. Miami, on the other hand, is probably a lesser hurdle for us. Here's to hoping that competence will reign in our front office for the first time in 15 years! -
Lets assume we catch a few breaks this season...
