Aaron Hernandez Trial---*Guilty*
rocwocka replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At least he can now spend the rest of his life catching balls... -
OK, so now here are our options (in order of most likely to least) 1 - Wait for Bradford to get cut, scoop him up on a 1 year deal... He plays 2 preseason games and gets eaten by a rogue pack of crocodiles while getting out of his car during one of Buffalo's late summer snow storms... 2 - We trade for Jay Cutler, who actually gets benched for the season during his meet and greet of Buffalo press for what Marone sees as a smug gesture his way... Which just ends up being Jay Cutlers standing bitchface... 3 - We trade for Kurt Cousins, who remarkably reminds us of the Purdue Prince of Passing's plummeting passion of playing pleasantly... End result: We go 4-12 and our playoff drought gets it's learner's permit.

It just reeks of our history... I'm not completely opposed to it,maybe kick the tires on this guy (not too hard, he's Rob Johnson fragile), but you have to know this is a possibility...

Kyle Orton in action vs. the Eagles (video)
rocwocka replied to QCity's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good post, makes breaking down his play last year much easier!!! His quick decision making shows in his accuracy in short to intermediate throws... good footwork, but definitely got away with one throw off his back foot. Faster straight ahead speed than I remember... Deep ball is not there, although he puts one right on the money early in the game... Maybe his overthrows will be closer with our receiver speed... One thing I take away from this is that Chandler will probably see more balls thrown his way this week than he has all season long combined... I lost count, but it seemed like Witten caught about 12-15 passes... -
Keep in mind that Aaron Schobel played at around 245 and Dwight Freeney is 6'1" / 261 lbs... We will probably be making Hughes' side of the field an area of run stopping weakness, but as long as he can get around the corner to the QB, that's a risk they take...

It just seems inevitable that we will shoot ourselves in the foot in key parts of games... it truly is sickening

You just need to update your rosters online. I think he was an 82 a month ago...

Is Marcus Easley this teams version of Steve Tasker?
rocwocka replied to VirginiaMike's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I keep thinking he should be playing more on offense... he is definitely our special teams ace now -
Hopkins is Out for Week 2 vs Carolina

I hope Kyle doesn't get in on the action... Just remember guys, no stomping, that's not cool -
Deacon Jones versus Bruce Smith
rocwocka replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Safe to say that most consider Reggie White better as well... Bruce, in my eyes, was better because of the fact that he played in a 3-4 d most of his career. He was double and triple teamed nearly every play! -
Bills officially sign QB Kevin Kolb
rocwocka replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Looks like he's coming to Buffalo for sure... http://tracking.si.com/2013/03/30/bills-finalizing-deal-kevin-kolb/ -
Knows how to get the best effort out of a cold weather defensively minded team... also took a Jauron team and made them into winners. We would need to acquire the LBs to be able to drop into coverage... LOVES to run the ball... would need to make better decision on O-coordinator than he's made in the past... Still, I think he's gotta be in the conversation for our head coach vacancy! OK, now chop me to bits kids!

Demetress Bell's play killing Eagles
rocwocka replied to DisplacedBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hate to say it, but our o-line probably looks better with Fitz usually getting rid of the ball fast... -
Should the Bills sign Jabbar Gaffney
rocwocka replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I say yes, he's what every team needs... a team player, he knows he's never going to be a #1 and, therefor, knows his role -
Steve Christie hit a 54 yard field goal in the SB... it was a reg season game against Miami in a lopsided loss that he hit the 59 yarder...

This now makes 8 players from the 1994 San Diego Chargers to have died • Five months after the 1994 Super Bowl, LB David Griggs drove his car off a freeway ramp and slammed into a sign pole. Subsequent tests would show that his blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit. • In 1996, RB Rodney Culver and his wife were aboard ValuJet FLight 592 from Miami to Atlanta when it crashed into the Everglades, killing all on board. • In 1998, LB Doug Miller was struck by lightning while camping in Colorado. CPR was being performed on Miller when he was struck again by a second bolt. • In 2008, C Curtis Whitley was found dead in his trailer in Texas. Whitley had a history of substance abuse and had twice been suspended by the NFL, and toxicology results pointed to an accidental overdose. • Also in 2008, DE Chris Mims was discovered facedown on the bathroom floor of his Los Angeles apartment. An autopsy revealed an enlarged heart, and Mims weighed 456 pounds at his death. • Early 2011, DT Shawn Lee died from cardiac arrest brought on by years of complications with diabetes. • December 2011, Lew Bush suffered a heart attack at his home in San Diego. Since retiring in 2002, friends say he had struggled with his weight. • Today, Junior Seau is found dead of a gun shot to his chest - what appears to be an apparent suicide. In 2010, Seau drove his car off a cliff after a domestic dispute and claimed he had "fallen asleep"... If it was a suicide, perhaps he was trying to preserve the brain for medical studies similar to Dave Duerson?

I think if Kuelchy is still there at 10, we have to take him. Since the LBs in this D are mostly asked to be in zone coverage and react to plays, we all have to understand that he isn't going to rack up sacks. Kuelchy is more of a LB that will probably often lead the team in tackles and grab a couple interceptions a year... AKA boring, but necessary.

I wonder if Mularky's password for his home security is still "Superbowl"? I'm betting he's changed it to something more realistic like, "MaybeplacethirdindivisionifColtsstillsuck"

Gil Brandt Updated Top 100 Prospects
rocwocka replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My gut says its Luke Kuechly. We didn't try too hard to re-sign Bell, so that tells me that we're ready to go forward with Hairston manning the LT spot. I'm pretty sure that whoever gets picked at #10 (or wherever we end up picking) will be a necessary and welcome addition...
