  1. Since I don't watch hardly any college football, is this a good thing? Is he a potential 1st rounder, or is he somebody we could really get value at #3 or #4?
  2. AS much as I believe Schobel to be one of the few (read: FEW) consistent bright spots on the Bills for the past decade, I could not agree with you more. This garbage of saying "ok, take your time. We can wait" is baloney. The draft is an excellent opportunity to replenish your roster, and his delaying of a decision could effect the overall player that is selected and where they are drafted. Now, perhaps the only saving grace at this point would be that the brass plan on shifting Schobel to OLB should he return. This is good because I believe that the Bills now find themselves deeper at OLB with both Kelsay and Schobel moving to those spots along with a (hopefully) improved Maybin. But c'mon Schobel, either dump or get off of the pot!
  3. that is not saying much as there were holes at these positions or a draft pick was better than the incumbent player. Remember the Super Bowl years? How often did a rookie start, let alone make the roster? When you have a large number of scrubs on your roster, just about any rookie is an improvement. * and this is in no way a shot at Wood*
  4. how many times is this going to resurface? Jacksonville is the most likely candidate. Then perhaps the Rams, with the Raiders closely behind. That's it.
  5. And? Anyone wanting to get rid of Edwards should not be wanting more of the same in Campbell. Campbell is atrocious. 'Nuff said.
  6. I'd try to keep him out of the AFC East, personally. Not for any emotional reasons- as both the Bills rise and the Patriots demise, though occurring, will never have both teams on equal footing in the near future for a playoff battle- but rather because he is a good player and I would hate to strengthen a much-hated opponent for a hopeful 2nd round pick. I read a report stating that Seattle has inquired about Lynch's status of a trade and it was suggested that the Bills stated a 2nd would be fair. (I assume this is where you are getting the 2nd round idea from). If Seattle is offering, that is exactly whom I would trade him to. We'd see him maybe once or twice before his career is over, and maybe with our improved front office draft a player with that 2nd that could help sooner rather than later and for many years to come.
  7. Regardless, Evans is probably one of two offensive weapons that we really do have. Heck, he may currently be the only one as Mr. Lynch seems to have more important things to do than come to work out with his new teammates, coach, etc. And that is not a slam on Fred Jackson. Anyone talking about trading Evans is a stone cold retard.
  8. Yeah, the Redskins most recently seemed to have scrapped that formula of signing big names in the hopes that they still produce. LT, Cromartie, etc could all gel and rocket them to the top. Or, LT could prove his age, Cromartie can allow off field distractions such as not being able to keep it in his pants subtract from the play on the field, and Coach could blow an emotional gasket. Not to mention that the proverbial injury bug could always sneak up and knock somebody out for a prolonged period of time (like Sanchez) and all of a sudden the poster boys have become trailer trash. It's 16 games guys, the draft has not even occurred yet and I would rather the Bills build to last, and not to be a quick burn.
  9. wait for it...wait for it....there's gotta be a punch line in there somewhere....
  10. I'll second this, and those comments made when Gailey took over and was attempting to quell the trade rumors that "Whitner did everything that was asked of him (by the prior regime)" hints (atleast to me) that he was asked to do things that did not work to his advantage solely as a player. For instance, playing defensive roles where he was not in a position to be in the limelight, etc. His skill and ability may have negated an offensive player, but not one where everyone would gasp and shout "go DON-TE", etc. There are a couple of players currently on our roster that I think deserve a better look with greater support, clarified roles, etc. Two of those players are Trent Edwards and Donte Whitner.
  11. Indeed, those cups runneth over....
  12. Not a knock on you, but Mort is not exactly burning the barn down with insight, here. Gailey and Nix, from the start, when answering questions about the QB situation have said that it will be an open competition amongst the 3 already on the roster, and a 4th will be brought in. We know for a fact that it was the Bills who offered the most to acquire McNabb. Draft talk of Clausen, Tebow, etc. If Brian Brohm earns the starting spot, then I'm happy with it- because he EARNED it. I don't care about college records, pro bowls, or any of that garbage. Stats mean nothing. Well, except for the win- loss one.
  13. Agreed. I would not want him to so much as get near the gate let alone be admitted to the stadium. Question: if the article is not speculation and in some sort of dream world is based in fact: if Andy Reid does not think Vick capable, why would we want him? What, Reid is not as good a judge of talent? We want other peoples garbage? No thanks.
  14. Couldn't agree more. I live down here in DC, and though that does not make me an expert in all things Redskins, I see an awful (emphasis on awful) lot of Jason Campbell. For those who don't like Trent Edwards, I don't see how Campbell offers anything different. All of the arguments being used against Trent, can be used against Campbell. News flash: Jason Campbell is FAR from sensational, his upside is nil, and we would not be improving our QB corp by signing/ trading for him. I'm not in the Tebow camp and I also don't believe in selecting a QB this year at #9, but I would be happier drafting a QB in the 1st than trading for Jason Campbell.
  15. BULAGA.
  16. I believe that we finally have a plan, a direction, AND qualified, proven people that know how to BUILD A TEAM in place. Saying that, I believe that the future will be much brighter. But I am waiting on the draft to grade out this offseason.
  17. Well YE OLE, if you don't like Trent, I don't see why anyone would want more of the same in Campbell. Living here in DC, and prior to the arrival of Shanahan and Bruce Allen, the Redskins were a mirror image of the Bills. The only difference was the ridiculous spending of the Skins vs. the miserly conservatism of Wilson. That's it. Same type of no direction front office, signing the same garbage players, drafting foolishly, and having no sense of how to win come game day. Jason Campbell is the Redskins version of Trent Edwards. Now, I personally feel Trent deserves a better chance than he has received thus far from the Bills. But if he does not pan out, I certainly don't want more of the same! Say NO to Campbell!!
  18. I think what had the most influence was that McNabb did NOT want to come to Buffalo. No spilled milk, IMO. He's got a season or two left, tops. Now with both Vick and McNabb gone, I can only hope that we can dispel these even more ridiculous 'sign Jason Campbell' baffoons sooner rather than later.
  19. Well, it would be better than any "sign Jason Campbell" or "sign Vick" garbage....
  20. With his attitude (or lack thereof), his ridiculous contract demands, and history...I would see no reason to bring him in. And I think we are starting the see, that his "standout" season that got him out of Tennessee and onto the Redkins' roster was indeed a performance solely for an increased paycheck. His Jason Peters-like reputation has proven to be true. Glad we did not enter the "sweepstakes" a couple of years ago.
  21. Ah, but I will take the other side of that coin... if he did not want to be here, then I don't want him, either. Good riddance.
  22. Neither. I would take a bruising LT at #9. Then perhaps Tebow at #41. If we can then jump back and take a NT/ DT at with our 3rd pick, I would be happy.
  23. My sentiments exactly. If we can get him at #41 I'll be ok with it...providing he becomes what we all hope that he would. I want a mean, Pro Bowl LT at #9.
  24. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I did not come to that conclusion when I first read it, but I think I like your version much better. Wilson with dreadlocks...
  25. Attitude is a huge component. Granted, I have never personally set foot in the old Bills weight room, but when I read of the changes made, I knew that creating a winning attitude was a part of the blueprint. Gone were the distractions, and in came the tools to do the job. Work is now the word of the day. This fundamental transformation affects the very core of the players. You build bonds in a weight room. You can build a team in one. This was sorely needed. Buddy and Chan are bringing a breath of fresh air to the team. And I could not be happier.
