  1. Donte has a tendency to hit players late. He got a 15yrd penalty in the Tampa game I believe. Wood hits players after the whistle all the time but usually it is striaght on and not a blindside. Those are the only two Bills that even come close in my mind.
  2. You make a very good point about P. Williams age and lack of wear and tear. I don't understand the Donahoe pride comment. Maybe I am missing something. As much as I hate Belichick you have to admire his ability to discard players at a whim. He cut Milloy when he got too old and traded away Seymour instead of resigning him. As a rule the franchise will do better by not signing players over 30.
  3. I can't figure it out either. Now I don't trust his coaching staff to evaluate talent but if Johnson had any they would have cut Josh Reed before the season to avoid paying his salary for another poor season. Johnson was inactive and now only sees the field because Parrish is a non-factor in the offense and they don't trust him to return punts anymore.
  4. Pat Williams was 32 when he left the Bills. How often do you see the Patriots pay big money to a FA over 30? The Vikings got lucky Williams stayed healthy(perhaps with the help of steroids). The FO made the correct decision on Williams. I believe hiring Marv Levy as GM was the worst decision of the decade. As stated above his draft moves or lack there of, poor FA decisions, and choice of Jauron have destroyed this franchise. While one may argue these moves were made by Mordak and Guy it was still Levy who was GM and ultimately responsible for this debacle. Levy's one decent move was swindling Ozzie Newsome in the McGahee trade - only to foul it up by trading away the pick to move up and draft McCargo. In defense of Tom Donahoe, Mike Williams was a consensus top 5 pick and was badly needed. Donahoe's undoing may have been his first decision - the choice of Greg Williams followed closely by these awful draft choices - JP Losman, McGahee, and Parrish. However he brought Lee Evans, Jason Peters, Jabari Greer, and got a first round pick for Peerless Price(only to squander it on McGahee).
  5. Uhhh yes he can. He wasn't even adequate in the 4th qtr of preseason games.
  6. That was when Butler was playing. The line has been awful ever since he went down. Jackson hasn't done anything in the last month either. Noone knows if Trent can play or not. TO lays the blame at the o-line and not the QB. He would call out Trent if he was the one not making the plays. AVP isn't cut out for the arena league. Maybe McCoy makes it as an NFL QB. No way we should pick a QB with what looks like a top twelve pick. LB and o-line are the top priorities. Hope they can find a tackle in free agency and draft a Demarcus Ware type in the first round.
  7. You forget that the media ripped Houston and specifically Charlie Casserly for passing on Reggie Bush for Mario Williams. Casserly had the stones to pass on Bush and that is the guy who should be the next Bills GM.
  8. The FO didn't even ask him before the draft if he wousl switch to LT. Had they and he said he didn't want to they could have drafted a LT instead of Maybin or Levitre. Then they keep Butler at RG and Wood plays LG. This board ripped me for saying Walker should play where he is told to play. Well look how that worked out. Walker knew he was a marginal RT but a certifiable grease fire at LT. All the Bills had to do was ask him before the draft. God I hope they fire anybody this week. Someone had to be held responsible...
  9. Seems to me it is pretty easy to compare 62 catches to 9. I am in no way giving up or saying Hardy is a bust yet. But is it ridiculous to say Jackson is not the better player. I hope 2009 is not a completely lost year but it is likely the Bills will decide to place Hardy on IR in the next couple of weeks in favor of a slow white TE. Even with Roscoe on the outs the team likes Johnson and Jenkins on gameday. When they drafted Hardy I was hoping for Plexico without the gun charges. At this point I would settle for a couple of decent Chris Burkett years. Unfortunately he probably has a good chance to be as bad as Detroit's Mike Williams.
  10. Be very careful.... This board does not like to have facts get in the way of their opinions... Trent is the reason the offense sucks. Didn't you read that on here? The line is just fine. With TO and Lee Trent should be able to throw an 18yrd out pattern less than one second after dropping back in the pocket.
  11. So the Bills FO drafted a guy the masses would be happy with instead of the guy with more talent. Makes sense to me.
  12. It's the line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When has he ever not thrown his QB under the bus when he has had the chance???? Even he knows it is all the line!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Fitz is completing less than 50% of his passes. How long do you think that works in the NFL???? I have stopped defending Edwards but can't come to the point to say he is not the answer. I would like to see what he can do with a decent o-line. I would draft a QB next year without question but not before round 3. There are too many holes on the o-line and LB to pass on these postions in the first two rounds. One caveat - if you could get Kolb (and his playbook from Philadelphia) for a second rounder maybe you make that deal...
  14. Can't be compared???? The Bills could have drafted either one and again they chose poorly....
  15. By burner type you mean the type that scores two TD's over 50 yards. Yep definitely don't need one of those....
  16. My point exactly. They chose a height measurement over talent. Hmmmm Steve Smith, Wes Welker, Larry Fitzgerald, Hines Ward.... Not exactly tree toppers but all ProBowl WR's (as much as it pains me to list Welker and Ward)
  17. You can't be serious???? Let's see. Both taken in the second round. Both WR's. Rookie year : 9 catches for Hardy; 62 for Jackson(for 912 yards). BTW Hardy and Jackson each had two receiving TD's with Jackson getting another rushing TD. Only knock on his rookie year was 4 fumbles 2 lost.
  18. Do you even know if Byrd can cover anyone?? On those two picks Sunday the recievers were wide open. Palamalu, Sanders, and Reed will all make it before anyone on the Bills on reputation alone. Stroud has a chance with injuries to the Jets and Charger's NT's(Jenkins and Williams). H. Ngata in Baltimore is probably a lock to make it. I can't see Wood making it over other veteran guards. If Schobel gets 10 sacks he probably goes especially with that highlight reel INT and TD against the Pats on national TV.
  19. A bit better??? He is a lot better... And that is saying something because Moorman is great. Lechler is HOF material though.
  20. Yes they need to draft a QB but not in the first two rounds. Take a project and hope you hit the lottery. Missing on JP set the Bills back 5-7 years. It is way too risky to draft a QB too high. For every Matt Ryan there are two or three Jamarcus Russell's, Alex Smith's, Jason Campbell's....The list oges on and on. Draft a guy 3rd round or later at least every other year if not every year....
  21. Because half the morons who post on here don't even watch the games. D Bell played good but not great. He pass protected reasonably well(most of the rush was over the RT where Peppers was) but had little to no push in the run game. In fact I think Wood is the only lineman who gets any push whatsoever.
