  1. End the game with a first down? WTF are you talking about. They still had to score. It seemed pretty obvious to me they had a good chance of scoring given the way our D has played in the 4th qtr of other games and how the drive was going to that point.
  2. You do realize the Bills have the worst run defense in the NFL and have had 4th qtr meltdowns in just about every game. Jax scoring was inevitable. A little time on the clock may have helped. I am sure the time out they left on the board will come in handy when they change the rule to carry over to the next game...
  3. Which is why he will be in Baltimore, Chicago, or NY(Giants) next year.
  4. He had one maybe two QB pressures and played a screen pass very nicely. Had a couple inside moves. He needs to be moved to OLB. There is no way he can play DE in the NFL at his current size.
  5. Green Bay did it in the SuperBowl against Denver so don't say it doesn't happen.
  6. Did you have confidence they were going to stop them from the 3 yard line? Hell a great kickoff return might have been all that was needed. BTW who didn't see the QB draw coming? I called it even before they lined up with an empty backfield.
  7. There is no reason to watch anymore. The coaching staff routinely puts them in position to fail. How do you not call time out before the 2 min warning and save time on the clock. Why not just let them score and try to stop the 2 point conversion leaving time on the clock for a game winning or tying FG? Why spike the ball on the last drive instead of using the time out. Why don't the Bills blitz and pressure the other teams QB the way Jax did on the last drive. Hopeless. I'm done. No Sunday Ticket next year. I am just going to watch college FB.
  8. This is not the week to criticize Poz. He played well except on the one TD run where he wiffed on Jones Drew. Put two reasonably sized LB's to his side and he will be fine for the next several years.
  9. Dear God how can the Bills win now? Fire Fewell! He doesn't see the greatness just like DJ missed it. If only a 7th rd WR had been playing all year the playoffs would be right around the corner....
  10. Mel Kiper's Big Board only has one tackle in the top 25, Russell Okung from Oklahoma State. Every year there seems to be o-lineman that come out of nowhere to go high in the draft but this does not bode well for the Bills. I am going to stick to my guns and say QB should not be the first round pick. Unfortunately there are only a few LB's in the top 25 as well. Even fewer positions of need other than QB in the top 10 where the Bills likely will be picking. As always a bunch of DT, DE, and DB's are there. Here's hoping they trade down.... So sad to be looking at the draft and Thanksgiving isn't even here yet....
  11. He should have been played at OLB this year. If he adds weight he can move down to DE. Noone has a problem with tweeners when they get ten sacks a season. I am hoping he turns into Demarcus Ware.
  12. If they draft a QB in the first round you can kiss the playoffs good-bye for another 3 years. The only hope is to draft the best lineman available followed by an OLB in round two. A QB should be taken later.
  13. Something happened on those two throws to TO at the end of the Tennesse game. The game was over after the 51yrd FG. Why then do they all of a sudden throw two ten yard curls to TO. He hasn't run that pattern all year. Each time TO made no attempt to even step towards the ball. Either Trent threw it purposely the wrong direction or TO purposely turned the right direction. You could see something in TO's body language as he walked back to the line of scrimmage. Say what you want about Trent but accuracy on the short pass is not one of his faults. I think Gannon knew too. He ripped TO incorrectly for lining up incorrectly when obviously they had two plays called in the huddle and Trent misread the Defense. Gannon basically said nothing after those passes. He knew something was up. Personally, I think the WR's revolted. They were tired of running routes only to see mediocre white TE's get all the catches. Even though Trent did a decent job getting TO and Evans involved early it faded once again. I hope the story comes out soon...
  14. First step in having players who are actually built for the NFL not college. Time to move Maybin to OLB for the remainder of the year.
  15. Wood is a god dam guard. As in can find them anywhere. Peters is a ProBowl LT. As in they are hard to find. Now throw in the fact that the Bills will draft a LT in the top 7 picks and likely pay more for that pick having never played a down in the NFL than they would have if they just paid Peters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. If they hire Haslett, Fassell, or Gilbride I swear I am done with the Bills. I already live in Portland OR and have to spend over $300 for Sunday Ticket to watch this recurring nightmare. If they do not hire a proven winner or at least one of the hottest offensive coordintors I am done. I'll just watch college football and golf on Sundays.
  17. I remember but Ralph is old and he probably can be tricked into believing it was Bum Phillips he didn't get along with.....
  18. as D-coordinator. I really feel bad for Wade. His D in Dallas is quite good (8th in pts allowed and 8th in sacks). Jason Garrett refuses to run the ball(another sign Wade is not a good HC). When Dallas flops in the playoffs assuming they make it he is going to get fired. Shanahan has always had problems finding a D-coordinator. I think the two would be great together.
  19. Not saying this is such a bad move BUT how often do you see a 2nd round pick on the practice squad.....
  20. Hamdan didn't play well in the 4th qtr of pre-season games. Do you know how bad that is? The only reason he made the team and occupied a roster spot better served by a back-up o-lineman is he was TE's friend.
  21. No one will ever know about Trent until he moves on from this joke of a franchise. TE will be glad the moment he leaves.
  22. Don't go there. With this coaching staff and the o-line no one knows.
  23. Now that Gruden is off the market. I think Grimm makes a lot of sense. Weis possibly if he gets canned at ND. Another hot OC that makes a playoff run could be an option. Anyone but another d-coordinator. Cowher and Shanahan just aren't going to happen.
  24. 1. Cut TO - not because he is a distraction but just to find out if Hardy/Johnson can do anything 1a. Name Trent the starter the rest of the way - just have to know if he can play or not 2. Bench Josh Reed again to find out about Johnson/Hardy 3. Play Johnson, Hardy, and Roscoe along with Evans 4. Sign Runyan for the remainder of the season - have to find a stop gap for the line 5. Move Maybin to OLB - should have happened at the bye IMO 6. Start Fred Jackson - it simply isn't fair any longer 7. Fire Modrak and Guy the day after the season ends 8. Brandon then turns over football operations to a Parcells type - someone who takes care of personnel. Brandon can still make sure the vendors are selling anough beer, the parking lot is still too expensive, and training camp is still the best experience in the NFL.
  25. My bet ---> TO is going to get cut. It makes no sense to keep him any longer. While I do not believe Steve Johnson or James Hardy are that good it makes no sense to not play them the rest of the season. Same goes for Josh Reed. No reason for him to be on the field any longer. Other possibility - Maybin is moving to OLB.
