  1. Define "way better". Let's see they still have numerous off-sides penalties. Maybin still plays DE. Josh Reed still plays. Hardy and Johnson are still inactive. Please define what Fewell has done with the exception of activating Roscoe(still doesn't get any offensive snaps) and startign a journeyman QB that threw for less than 100 yards last week.
  2. He was picked the year Nate Clements left. He played well his rookie year down the stretch and beat out Florence, Corner, and Yobouty to start. I would have kept Greer and made McKelvin the nickel back but McKelvin was good enough to start at CB.
  3. Great points. Plus correct me if I am wrong isn't Oher playing RT for the Ravens. Noone drafts a RT that high. They only get moved to RT or G if they can't play LT ie. Robert Gallery. Hmmm Orakpo is playing LB.... Why hasn't this board thought of that idea for Maybin before???? LOL. I still can come up with no reason why Maybin has not seen significant snaps at OLB. There has been plenty of time to teach him how frickin hard can it be. At least on a situational basis he should be more of a pass rushing threat than Scott, Draft, or palmer.
  4. Guts? What do you mean by that? He stands in the pocket and takes hits to make throws at the last second. I truly believe DJ coached him to be captian checkdown. There is no telling what a better HC and OC would do for his confidence and decision making.
  5. If Trent had a pick in the endzone, 87 yrds passing, and a fumble on a sack the board would be calling for him to be benched. Trent should start the remaining games.
  6. Tell me what he did today that warrants him playing next week? Win I am sure will be the answer. Fitz is awful. Brohm or Trent should start the remaining games.
  7. And look what's happened to their o-line.
  8. If I were Trent I would ask for my release from this joke of a franchise. His best wish would be for the FO to cut him so he can go to a team that has a clue. All Trent has to do is put together a collection of newspaper articles starting with the decision to trade Jason Peters, not draft a LT, fire the OC one week before the season starts, cut the starting LT, and say I just want a fresh start somewhere else. There are multiple teams other than Buffalo where he can sign and compete for the starting job.
  9. Agreed on the HC comment however Bud Adams told Jeff Fisher to play VY. I think Ralph and Brandon can tell Fewell to play whomever they want to see and he has no choice but to comply. If he doesn't then what's the chance he is offered the HC job.
  10. Conlan, Henry Jones, Cowart, Biscuit, and many others were oft injured in the 90's. Remember the infamous "hole in biscuit's shoulder". The offense didn't have many injuries...oh wait didn't Kelly injure his knee before the playoffs.... but then again they ended up in the endzone so often they didn't get tackled much. While it would be nice to blame DJ for the injuries it is unfortunately mostly bad luck. If Wood is one step farther up field he probably isn't injured. Brad Butler again wrong place wrong time. While I tend to agree bigger DE's and LB's probably helps over the long run, however getting off the field on third down and thus not having to play at least three more downs is more important. Talent, speed, and size are all that can be controlled - the rest is good/bad luck.
  11. This is a reaonable post. "should play" and "given reps". Exactly. The season is wasted and both should be given reps. IMO it should be at the expense of TO's(Hardy - about 5-7 plays a game) and Reed's(Johnson 10-15 plays) reps. I would bench/inactivate Reed now in favor of either of these guys getting on the field. In keeping with the coaching staff not being able to evaluate talent, I would not give up on Parrish until he has a real OC and new HC evaluate him.
  12. Poor man's Hines Ward??? WTF. I am assuming by "Poor man's" you mean he doesn't score any TD's nor catch more than a handful of balls all season. Now he does yell alot I'll give you that. I have yet to see his mythical run after catch skills. In fact if you can show me one play in the last 5 years where he broke a tackle I'll buy you a beer. And for blocking downfield, I can't recall a single run this year where his block did anything. In fact for all the crap this board gives Lee Evans it was his block downfield that sprung beastmode for the TD in Toronto.
  13. He drafted Matt Hasselbeack, Marc Brunell, and signed Kurt Warner(may have been a late round pick) along with a couple others that didn't work out. Interesting note - Wolf traded for Ken Obrien form the Jets the year after he traded for Favre. Never can have too many options at QB.
  14. Me too but not a top 10 pick. If the Bills can move back to say 14-18 sure and pick up another first round pick in 2011 or a 2nd in 2010.
  15. Mel had Jamarcus Russell in his top 3 just like all the other morons. NONE of these guys know anything!!!!! Peyton Manning Ryan Leaf one pick difference. Brady passed over 5 times by the Patriots. Go the Ron Wolfe way and draft a QB every year until one pans out. Hope you get in the situation of having two good ones so one can be traded.
  16. How fast would you blast Fewell if Terrence McGee reinjures his knee practicing outside????? Every team in the NFL practices this way. Listen to the players. Theirs bodies can barely move by Wednesday. In general I agree a little more hitting especially in training camp would be a good thing. I think that is where you find out that your back-up LB is much better than your starter in real conditions. But in-season it just unnecessarily risks injury.
  17. Uh who didn't think they were going to blow it all up???? The only question is whether Brandon survives to pick a Football GM and HC or whether he gets fired too.
  18. Holmgren had his GM duties taken away from him the year before they went to the Superbowl.
  19. What whispers are you talking about? They fired the head caoch. Do you think the new HC is going to keep the old assistants especially the offensive ones? Every one of the assistants should be scrambling like crazy right now to get new jobs.
  20. Save your energy for the cancer fight you will need it. Besides all the negative energy the Bills are giving off these days won't help you.
  21. It's amazing. Even the lowly Raiders are getting coverage. The Bills are such a non-story only Mike Shanahan probably not coming to Buffalo gets them mentioned. This is how this team ends up in LA or some other town. The stadium can sell out every game but noone in the country cares about this team. There will be no outcry like there was when Cleveland moved to Baltimore. Sure maybe the teams records will stay in Buffalo but since there will never be another franchise here it won't mean anything. At this point it will take global warming making Buffalo balmy in November or some as of now undiscovered economic boom idea(perhaps with a new energy plan) to keep the Bills in Buffalo. Enjoy(kind of ridiculous to think of with the team's play of late) it while it lasts. The Bills moving will occur within 90 days of Ralph's will being read.
