  1. Fisher is going to USC when Mike Riley turns them down. Cowher will be on the first plane to Tennessee after that. I hope everyone realizes that there has never been a SB winning coach to win a SB with another team. Plenty have made the playoffs but none have one the SB again. I want Marty's son!
  2. My bad! I thought the Jets were moving back.
  3. Buffalo used to be a dying city. Now it is just dead. Maybe it can make a comeback but that is unlikely. The owner is going to pass away soon and there is no succession plan as there was in Pittsburgh from father to sons. The entire NFL is waiting for Ralph to die so the team can be moved to LA. It doesn't matter how many games they sell out or what the politicians say. It matters even less what we the fans say. The Bills days are numbered. With the Jets and Giants moving back to NYC there won't even be any arguement from the legislature. If the Browns can be relocated to Baltimore do you really think the Bills won't be moved to LA or San Antonio, or Oklahoma City, or any other city where the population is growing? It's time to relish their history, enjoy the games they have left in Rich Stadium(it will always be Rich to me), and root for the Sabres.
  4. Agreed. I am still stunned Marv made the HOF. He should give up his place for Andre Reed.
  5. I wouldn't mind him being Brian Schottenhoemer's DC.
  6. Collinsworht's voice is irritating but his commentary is spot on.
  7. He's even worse on NFL network. What dirty pix does he have of someone? If he hadn't broken his leg would we be subjected to this?
  8. I know from a very very good source Williams is a hot head. He screams and yells a lot and had very poor management skills. Look at what happened in Washington. He was promised the HC job and somehow blew it. His defenses get worse over time as he wears on players and organizations. You can't know that until you are around him for a while. Even NO's defense is fading fast after playing better than expected in only one year.
  9. Not wanting Billick is the smart choice. He is a former OC who won a SB by not scoring a TD in what was it 6 straight games. He is overrated.
  10. Carroll has a slightly above .500 record as a HC in the NFL already, where he was hired after being a good coordinator. None of the other guys had NFL HC experience with I believe only Saban some NFL experience(Cleveland LB's coach I think before going to Michigan State).
  11. reality sucks.... Time to start preparing yourselves... The team is one broken hip, penumonia, heart attack away from being in LA. The Sabres will be all that links Buffalo to any major sports in the USA.
  12. Chris Burkett - was better than Andre their first few years together Chris Spielman - he had one amazing year and one horrible injury
  13. What a joke! Yes he is the best KR in the NFL and maybe he was the best player on the Browns this year after they let Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow go. But NFL history is littered with guys who burst on the scene as great returners and then fade away. They almost never make major contributions elsewhere, and even when they do their return opportunities diminish; ie. Terrnece McGee. In an uncapped year I would probably end up overpaying for Cribbs but if the cap were still in effect no way I overpay for a KR. Dante Hall - never made the transition to WR Devin Hester - decent WR at best Desmond Howard - never a good WR Deion Sanders - the exception that proves the rule Mel Gray Eric Metcalf Roscoe Parrish
  14. Does this make any sense??? Pioli hires the hot shot OC of the Cardinals to be the HC and only one year later hires a former Patriot to run the offense. What message does this send to Todd Haley? I guess they were coaches together for the Jets in the past. Maybe Haley signed off on it for that reason. Is this the best Weis can do? Isn't the Bears OC job better especially with a proven QB already on the roster?
  15. This may sound stupid but the media hates Buffalo because the media has been made to look like fools by a 90 year old owner with regard to the CBA. The media bashed RW when the horrible CBA was agreed upon and now he and Brownie are the only ones who look like they had a clue. Buffalo and ESPN had a love affair. When RW didn't go in lock step with Taglibueu(sp?) all of a sudden the Bills were a laughing stock of a team. The NFL and ESPN does not treat those who have a different opinion very well - see Al Davis circa early 1980's. RW is proven correct and the treatment has only gotten worse. Throw in the dumping of an obvioulsy overrated Donahue(former ESPN fav) and the fact most of the sports media takes its cue from ESPN and the Bills get treated worse than a fat girl in high school.
  16. Two words Keith Ellison. He sucked from day one and even though he didn't play all the games he represents all that is wrong with the current Bills squad. Undersized borderline NFL players being counted on to be quality starters. Let Crowell and Peters and Pat Williams go and replace them with undersized and more inexperienced players and look what you get. Does any other team start Keith Ellison? Does any other team have Wendling and Corto on their roster????
  17. If Lebeau was ten years younger I would take him as a HC. He got screwed with Akili Smith in Cincinnati.
  18. It's not even 1/3 when you take out extra point trys. ST are only important when they suck. You get a kick blocked, miss a chip shot FG, or give up a KO return it costs you more than you gain from it. Bills had best ST in the NFL and what did it mean - jackshat or in other terms 7-9.
  19. Only if he can talk to the dead. The Eagle defense was not as good as in years past. Last year they averaged 3 pts less given up (21 to 18) and about 50 yards( 321 to 274) less a game. I am not sure how much Johnson's role was last year but their D has clearly taken a step back.
  20. Bring him back! Wood is destined for the PUP list and will be lucky to be back by November. If Incognito plays well then Wood can move back to Center. Can he move to right tackle? He seems big enough. There is no guarantee Butler will be back ready to play next year either(his injury was earlier in the season though). Draft a LT and let Wood, Simmons, Incognito, Bell, Butler, Hangartner, Levitre, Meredith, Scott all fight it out for the other spots. Honestly if they get a premier LT and guys come back healthy this group has POTENTIAL. Bif ifs, but if the FO only needs to spend one high round pick on the OL that leaves more picks for OLB, MLB(if they switch to 3-4), and d-line. PS Even with Youbouty probably gone this may be the one year we don't draft a corner/safety.
  21. Whipped??? You forget the refs handed him the SB over Holmgren's Seahawks.
  22. Uhhh how many teams have viable alternatives to their Pro Bowl QB????
