  1. Does anyone know why the Jets, and Chicago before, released Jones? He has been great ever since getting out of Arizona. Is he a head case? A drunk? I just can't figure why the Jets would get rid of him even with the emergence of Greene. He carried that team last year.
  2. 1. If in a bad neighborhood white Lynch would have fled the scene 2. White Lynch would then have sued successfully the woman for damaging his car
  3. Who is better? Jamal Williams? Why bring in Kennedy if there is someone better you want????
  4. Clausen coud slide into the late first round or round two if GM's get the sense his attitude sucks. I really don't know why they would. He played hurt and rallied his team several times, but apparently that is the knock against him. Could he be the next Aaron Rodgers or Brady Quinn to fall like a rock? Let's hope he goes in the top 8 which will mean one of the top 4 tackles or Berry will still be there and the Bills can trade down.
  5. I'm sure the money the FO could have offered was better. The chance to play for a title next year, or the year after that probably was the difference. And that is the state of your Buffalo Bills. Can't even get a middle to low tier FA to come. And to think we had hopes of Cowher, Shanahan, Wilfork, Dansby.... What a joke...
  6. No please I want to see a former 7th round pick instead of a future HOF'er. Steve Johnson is the answer to all of Buffalo's problems. With him on the field the Bills can play with only 4 offensive lineman. In fact with Jesus aka Tim Tebow at QB I am not even sure the Bills will need an offensive line as defenders just stand in awe of Johnson and Tebow.
  7. There is a disturbing trend for DT's to develop late even when highly touted. Kennedy's former teammate Ryan Pickett is a good example. Another one of Marv's failures was not signing Pickett when he was in Buffalo for a FA visit. Kennedy makes a lot of sense at NT. The FO can then concentrate on the OL and LB in the draft. Both of those positions can contribute and dominate early.
  8. Are you people that want Tebow at #9 frickin crazy? There is not one mock draft that has him taken in the first round. He will be lucky to be drafted let alone in the first round. ESPN is reporting his wonderlick socre is low. What a shock! Let's see a dumb, not particularly athletic QB with a bad throwing motion who has played in a spread offense in college. Yeah that sounds like the formula for success in the NFL. Unless he can guarantee Jesus will be his WR and the apostles will be his offensive line, I would pass.
  9. It will be a lockout and it is virtually guaranteed to occur. RW may have been a horrible owner for the Bills but he has been good for the NFL. His leadership on AFL/NFL merger, revenue sharing and the TV contracts are what made him a legit HOF member. It's the new owners like Snyder, Jones, and Kraft that think they can turn their team into the Yankess and win all the time by not sharing money. Without revenue sharing the NFL will become as bad as baseball. Revenue sharing and not a cap is the key to the CBA. The union is right in that the problem right now is between the owners. They won't be able to come to an agreement amongst themselves and therefore there will be no CBA and no football in 2011. Obama should step in and negotiate a settlement! It will be better for his legacy than health care reform.
  10. He will play DE on most downs - not sure which side. He is taller than he is wide. Should be quite good at DE. May slide to NT on obvious pasing downs for more penetration up the middle.
  11. Yes he was. His stated lack of maturity as evidenced by his 7 kids from 5 women was a warning sign to SD. Just like traveis Henry was sent packing.
  12. Every mock draft I have seen Bulaga is long gone by #9. Only way I thought he would be there at 9 is if Bradford, Clausen, and Berry are all taken in the top 8. Then probably need either a LB or Bryant taken in a surprise pick. I guess anything can happen. Would be a value and need pick - whatever those are. I would settle for a great player wherever he is taken.
  13. I take it all back - Ben's attorney said he didn't do it. Same attorney that got Ray Lewis off for murder. Why was Ben's old attorney good enough for the Nevada case but now he needs a new criminal lawyer for the case in Georgia???
  14. In Mr. King's MMQB column he stated if Ben Roethlisberger is at fault he needs to grow up. This was of course on page four of his column. A two time SB winning QB is accused twice of sexual assault and he "needs to grow up". There is no other way to describe how the media is treating this story other than pure racism. I am white and I can see it. Marshawn Lynch is a "thug" because he had a gun is his car. How many Bubba's down South have a frickin gun rack in their truck. San Diego trades away Cromartie because he has 7 kids - all by consensual sex. Larry Johnson makes some anti-gay slurs and he is vilified/suspended. All black, all non-crimes or minor at worst. If you are white and a QB apparently 20 year old girls are pieces of meat. Peter King has a daughter for Christ sake. I loathe Michael Vick but as others have said before he would have been better off commiting rape than killing a dog. Unless of course it was a white girl. In which case in Atlanta he would have been lynched.
  15. Really? I saw a lot of Cowboys games and never saw Demarcus Ware drop in coverage.... If Maybin is anything close to Ware the pick will look solid.
  16. They will be lucky to win 2 games as the did in 84-85. I'll still watch if they draft Tebow. I won't if they trade for Vick. I think the Tebow workout is a smokescreen. Almost everything that happens the month before the draft is deception. Do you really think Gailey and Nix need to see this new throwing motion? I am sure they saw enough at the Senior Bowl. Would it be stupid to take Tebow with a 5-7th round pick - maybe not. Only downside is Tebow doesn't offer much ST play. The 5-7 round guys on most teams other than the Bills play special teams. In Buffalo they start at LT and OLB.... Hopefully that changes with Nix.
  17. Keep everyone and they go 2-14. At this point there are more starting holes than draft picks. And unless you want opening day to feature 4th and 5th round guys starting the FO better start adding some bodies. Even if Bell is going to play LT they need at least two more tackles to compete with Meredith for a starting spot. They need a back-up center and a guard to keep Wood's spot warm until he comes off the PUP. that is just the OL. They need another WR, a NT, and 1-3 LB's.
  18. Bills fans want to keep their collective heads in the sand and not think of Buffalo without the Bills. It will be a shame but as I posted before I think 2010 may be it. Barring the union caving their is going to be a lockout in 2011. That is 24 months for Ralph to pass. Any idea what the life expectancy is for a guy over the age of 90? It can be measured in minutes. Buffalo's best hope may be Jacksonville relocating to LA before the 2012 season. And as many posters have correctly pointed out Jacksonville is an awful NFL city. The NFL should be ashamed to show the 1/2 filled stands. San Diego also remains a possibility to move to LA. However the fan base has nothing to do with teams moving - just ask Cleveland and Baltimore. Ironically it may be the poor US economy that helps the Bills stay in Buffalo. There are likely going to be very few cities willing to finance a new stadium. Besides LA what other city can support a team? San Antonio? Oklahoma City? Portland? Any others? I certainly want them to stay even though I haven't lived in the area since 1988. They will always be my team and I will continue to make trips back for games and buy the Sunday Ticket. However if they move that's it. I'll watch college FB and golf on Sunday....
  19. No anyone else that can leave their religious stuff behind? Just say no to Tebow and team Jesus.
  20. What to you base this nonsense on? Tebow was an amazing college QB in the perfect system for him. In the NFL he is proabbly a decent FB. How is he any different than Eric Crouch. Hell Crouch probably had more athleticism. I'm fine with signing him as an undrafted FA or maybe using a 6-7th compensatory pick on him. It really is a shame NFL Europe is no longer. If he really wants to play QB that would be the place to go for a couple years.
  21. Agreed. He did everything he was asked to do last year. I wouldn't be surpreised if there are no takers early and he comes back to Buffalo. The more realistic scenario is he waits until there is a training camp injury on a playoff bound team.
  22. What else are you going to do in Buffalo on Sundays this Fall?
  23. Dude have you wathced this team play the last decade. The only excitement they have generated is in the off-season. Usually they suck us in for about the first third of the season. But last year it was over before it even started.
  24. yes but 1/4 of the teams - the top 8 - aren't allowed to sign players until they lose a player. So even though there are less players avaialble there are fewer teams to compete against for the available FA's.
