Sometimes the truth hurts... With the exception of the Kyle Williams comment the rest of the article is spot on. Face it the current roster of players is mostly horrible... Over achieve probably not. But DJ got them to win a few games they might not have probably especially as the seasons were lost. The players played hard. Many other teams would have quit on their coaches. I am not trying to defend DJ. Is there really anything to be gained winning games when the playoffs are out of reach if the success doesn't carry over to the next year. All in all he was awful and likely played a key role in the current lack of talent on the roaster. The OT situation is in shambles are mostly self inflicted with the exception of the Butler retirement. They could have chosen to keep Peters or draft Oher or keep Walker at RT. All horrible decisions that were criticized at the time and in retrospect seem even worse now. Our LB's suck. I am not even sure Poz or Maybin are quality starters. We should know by the end of the year. The WR situation may be just as bad. I however have always felt Parrish never got a chance with the JV coordinators Jauron brought in. Reed was a DJ guy and it seems Parrish was not. I'm hoping Gailey can turn Parrish into an effective mid range threat. I also would bring back TO and go with a Evans, TO, and Parrish while mixing in Johnson and Hardy. Add a sixth WR in the middle of the draft.

What if Tebow was black? Atheist? Mediocre arm strength, unable to read a defense, hasn't played in a pro-style offense, poor Wonderlic Do those sound like the qualities of a starting NFL QB? But he's a winner..... Tommy Frazier won a ton of games too, as did Jason White, Shane Matthews, and Danny Wuerffel. Perhaps he goes down as the FB to throw the most TD's in NFL history. But I suspect he will be just another great college QB that never makes it in the NFL.

Yeah becasue aging RB's , WR's, and QB's do so well in this league. Along with their young ProBowl LT -hmmm where did they get him - they now have a POTENTIAL nucleus to dominate for 5 or so years. It all hinges on Kobb of course. He has to be almost as good as McNabb and not choke, yes I said it, in the big moments.

Just read a mock draft on Sportline.com and they have Bills taking Cody in the second round as many here have posted they would like to see. Is anyone else scared by the man boobs and only 22 reps on the bench press? Seems more fluffernutter than the anchor of the 3-4 defense. Wilfork did 36 reps and ran the 40 a half a second faster (5.6 vs 5.1 secs). I am not sure he is the answer at NT and maybe he falls to the third round. I am thinking LT in the first, LB in the second(totally against Tebow), Cody if he is there in the third or a QB(Pike). Thoughts on Cody?

Yes there will but there will be a great player at 12 or 15 and adding a second round pick next year or a third this year is more important. This team is multiple players away from the playoffs.

The only thing I will add is I am not sure the true college scouts and GM's are that much better. Someone drafted Jamrcus Russell, MIke Williams, Whitner over Ngata, Marino was the last of 6 QB's taken, Rice was the second WR taken his year, and all of them passed on Tom Brady at least 5 times. When in doubt trade down and get two picks instead of one. Better to have quantity instead of assumed quality.
