  1. When your man catches the ball 30 times, I hope you would have close to 30 tackles. Ellison would have 5 tackles if he was lockdown in coverage. If you dont believe me go back and watch the games. Ellison is the worst starter on this team (yes I am including newly appointed starter Jonathan Scott).

i agree with this with him blowing the coverage on watson twice in two drives on MNF. and thats somethin that i think he can work on....but other than coverage i think he's filled in nicely...good with run support.

  2. true, it relies on good edge rushing, thats why colts need freeney. its why we need schoebel & co to have a good game (its too early to pin it on maybin.) brees can get rattled and cough up a lot of turnovers when pressured too, because a) hes small and lacks great vision when the pocket collapses and b) he tries to make things happen on busted plays rather than throw it away.

forgot where i read it but i read an article saying that brees' completion percentage was higher when the pressure is on but lower when there is only a 3 or 4 man rush. and we really dont have to worry about their running game that much to worry about dropping 7 or 8 back. the saints can be beat.

  3. Bills will not get it until and unless they beat the elite teams of the league. I very much agree with your earlier comment about the fins - how in the world can they be 0-2 and ahead of the Bills?

thank you  and on another note....doesnt that comment under the bucs piss ya off?

  4. I hear ya but we're only 1-1. We will rise in the national view if we start winning ya know. My advice is use espn for their coverage...not their expert opinions.

and miami is 0-2......shouldn't we be higher regardless of who is giving their so-called expert opinions?

  5. Actually wanted the Bills to draft this guy - now they have. Good pickup. Will definitely piss off the Packers, but them's the breaks.

    EDIT:

    http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/jamon-meredith?id=71397

    Overview

Athletic enough to serve as the starting left tackle for a Steve Spurrier offense, NFL scouts are scouting Meredith closely, especially when you factor in his wacky senior season. Suspended by the NCAA for the first two games of the 2008 season -- Meredith was granted a medical redshirt for the 2004 season despite playing against Vanderbilt -- Meredith came back to find that sophomore Jarriel King had emerged as his replacement at left tackle, moving Meredith inside to left guard. Meredith started eight games while fighting an ankle injury, but scouts like the way he took to the new position. Athletic and experienced at every position along the offensive line (except center), Meredith has the tools worthy of development and could compete for NFL playing time as a versatile swingman. Had an arm span of 34 1/2 inches and a hand span of 10 inches at the combine.

    negatives outweigh the positives IMO

  6. I would be willing to bet 90% of the people complaining about Mckelvin taking the kick out of the endzone are the same people who complain jauron is too conservative.

I would be willing to bet had Mckelvin taken a knee like many wish, we would get the ball at our own 20 before the 2min warning, and go 3 and out, punt to the patriots giving them good field position and the fans would flip out complaining about "conservative Jauron playing not to lose again"

Well Leodis tried to make something happen, the #1 kick returner, and they went for a win and it didnt work, now all of a sudden he is the most hated guy in town.

make up your mind and decide what you want, you can't have it both ways.

    well said my friend.
