Time to celebrate!!!
-
Yep. Assuming it'll be announced tomorrow.
Please god no!!!
Maybe as qb coach
-
At least we have two coaches now from last years hard knocks. We can do our own research on them
-
The OC must be lined up.
Leads me to believe Olson is interviewing for QB's.
Who the !@#$ knows.
Lets hope so!
-
Wouldnt you think we'd hire an OC before offensive position coaches? So he can have some say?
-
Why is Dorsey such a saught after candidate all of a sudden?
-
Chiefs lose, maybe we will have our new OC tomorrow
-
Where is Leroi during all this???
I think it is going to be childress
-
"Offensive blockbuster"
-
You feel that way despite how well Lynn did as a 1st time OC/playcaller?
Yes, he still used romans playbook didnt he, just cut it in half
-
I was very excited about the mcdermot hire because i was under the impression he came with mccoy. The more i read about him, the more i like him, but an experienced oc is very important in our situation.
-
Mccoy finalizing deal with denver.....damnit
-
No news is good news for us out of denver. I expect to have our oc situation resolved tomorrow.
-
all inexperienced coaches never did anythingall experienced coaches failed somewhere
Sometimes people are just meant to be great coordinators
-
Love it. get mccoy done now!!
-
Who are other options besides norv, mccoy and lynn? I could easily see us missing out on all 3.
-
So who will be OC?
-
Finalizing a 5 year contract via bleacher report
-
Sounds like the solution is simple, have a good passing game to put us in the lead, a defense to keep us in the lead, and a running game to finish the clock off.
Yesssss, and good special teams to flip the field, its that easy!

My interest is pretty much the same as yours, and I'd insert Todd Haley 4th after Butler. Curious if he has grown up since KC. None of the candidates excite me all that much from the outside but they're all worth a shot in different ways. I hope we focus on getting the best Head Coach rather than thinking about fixing a particular side of the ball, or scheme fits, etc. Look at the big picture and get the guy who can build a football program from the ground up and understands how to win in today's league.
As a know-nothing observer I do get the impression the Rex hire came from ownership. If they don't trust Whaley to hire his top choice this time then he shouldn't be heading the football operation.
What do you mean if haley has grown up since kc?? Im curious because i know some stories about him when he was with dallas.

Smart hire, bad division, good young top 5 picks, doug is not a bad coach, they just need a competent oc and they could turn it around
-
I love that he's flying from Buffalo to Rochester, a 45 min car trip.
12 minute flight...

HC: Coughlin
OC: Coughlins choice and heir apparent
DC: coughlins choice
Coughlin can change our terrible team culture, and when he retires in 3-4 years, his oc or possibly dc can take over
-
They just need a dc for the game. No way he is retained
