That's 20 guys who have or will line up at safety or cornerback for this franchise in 4 seasons. I can't imagine what it'd be like if that much attention went to the DL or OL.

The mismanagement of the secondary demonstrates a serious issue with personnel. I'm not surprised, given that the front office has remained relatively the same for many years.

Great point, maybe the best Ive read on this site ever!!! Just imagine if we focused this much on our D and O lines, we would be alot better. Cheers Bills Vet!!

  2. I know he isnt the most well behaved person in the league but after being released from the Bears I think he stayed out of trouble in Dallas. I heard he was becoming a free agent and we need another strong DT next to Marcus. I think that we could get him for cheap and then address the left end problem in the draft hopefully through acquiring orakpo or brown. I have said this in posts before and I know its common knowledge but if we have a strong d line we have majorly helped our whole team and we will be in immediate contender. I know we still need an OLB, TE, LG (I hope we can land Waters), If we can get a decent olb in free agency then we will be set up to complete our team in the draft and actually have somehting to look forward to. If Tank is not on the market then Im sorry for wasting peoples time but atleast you get my drift, I think if we add a solid DT in free agency and a stud (hopefully) DE in the draft our team will be feared.

  3. This ought to be a good debate. I would rather have Cutler because of the arm strength and ability alone. He makes mistakes at times, but what young QB doesn't? He reminds me of a young Brett Favre and would be the first legitimate franchise QB that we've had since Kelly. I don't think we can honestly say that Trent makes better decisions in game situations than Cutler. We know Cutler can play well in the Buffalo weather because he was good in Denver and would fit better with our #1, under contract for 5 more years, WR Lee Evans. I don't believe that Trent has a greater "upside" than Cutler. Just don't see it. That's just my 2 cents though.

Heres a good one, Trent or Peyton

  4. its obviously cutler, he has the same lack of targets that we have and he is still a stud for such a young player. He is kind of an arrogant prick but i dont mind that, its better than having a soft leader that wont get in someones face. you need your qb to have confidence and his cannon doesnt hurt either. kid is going to be great as long as denver gets him some good receivers, lee and jay would be best friends if he was a bill.

  5. our facilities are a big problem, we need to tear down the ralph and put a stadium up by the water like all other cities that have access to a lake or rivers. why do you think players like to play for dallas or new england or mark cuban in basketball, its because these owners will spend money to make their players happy with nice work our facilities and stadiums. we are a poor small market team i know but ralph needs to stop being so stingy.

  6. The Bills need players that not only produce but will be a long-term answer in order for Buffalo to be a good organization again. Yes, Rogers makes sense if the Bills are in the mix for a championship, but it makes no sense to sign a player that has been with two teams the last two years, plays exceptionally well but only when he's motivated, gets paid a lot of money, and every time there is a little trouble or frustration he wants out of the situation. That's what you get with Rogers. Since the Bills aren't near a championship, pass on him. He isn't worth it.

Sure, he has put up big stats, but big stats don't always translate to wins. Just look at who he's played for and the team results. Remember, Carson Palmer puts up big numbers. So did Larry Johnson a few times in his career. Rogers is the same type of player: put up big numbers, talented player, but he's not a leader or a winner.

The Bills need winners as well to change their culture.

Umm carson palmer is a winner still, in my mind he is the third best qb in the league, he was hurt all last year. I know rodgers wont want to come to buffalo but if we could convince him I think that would be ideal. Stroud and Rodgers in the middle with everette brown or orakpo on the left end spot, we would be a whole new team. I do believe a championship worthy team, as long as we can get a solid #2 wr and a te. I would bet the farm that if we were able to get haynesworth or rodgers we would be a totally different team. Other teams would fear our defensive front and thats what championship teams do, strike fear in others.

  7. Gruden also set up the Raiders to make the super bowl and took tony dungees team to the super bowl when tony couldnt do it himself. I like him and he actually has heart and shows emotion (shot at Juron). Our players need a leader and True he treats young qbs like chumps, but whatever maybe trent needs a kick in the shorts. Ill take him!!

  8. I think Vick is and was a good qb. He had no help in atlanta besides algae crumpler, even when they got him peerless that was obviously a mistake because peerless needed moulds on the other side. Vick never gets sacked, just because he doesnt have the mind of a peyton manning doesnt mean he didnt know any of the plays, ill bet he knew more plays than JP ever did. As far as his character issues I am a dog lover and what he did was horrible but he payed for his mistakes in federal prison, give him a break. PETA freaks will never let him live a normal life because they need the publicity. I guarantee he will be signed right away as soon as goodell decides when he can play. I think there is a zero percent chance he will be a bill because of our climate, but if I was a fan of a southern team i would take him in a heart beat. He can play qb/rb/wr, ill bet he could play db. that guy is a freak and he will be an asset to any team.

  9. I don't think anyone will pick him up. Too much bad press would come, he'd be a distraction. There's also the simple fact that Vick was never very good and after a two year hiatus spent in jail how good can he be?

Fun to watch and a freak athlete. Speed, cannon arm. But he's a china doll and never got established as a passer.

Vick will be a cowboy ill bet. He will definately be in the NFL because of his athleticism and his cannon of an arm, its not like peta will protest every game for his career, just in the beginning. His two years in jail just mean he wasnt taking hits on the feild for two years, Im sure he is in great shape. He will go to a team like oakland or washington or miami or dallas.

  10. I wanna know one thing about all you guys.. Why do u hate toronto... I am from buffalo and love the city of toronto I would actually move there... Yes I would hate the bills moving there..but do u guys hate toronto or just the fact that the bills are playing there

I would find it hard to say im a Toronto bills fan, I have nothing against Toronto as a city but I dont want our bills leaving buffalo, if they do I will be devistated and probably never be able to be so loyal to a team ever again. I am a season ticket holder and If the bills went to Toronto I hate to say it but Id become a Ravens fan or Cleveland, I couldnt be a Toronto Bills fan.

  11. If we went the lb route through the draft I'd rather Have Curry, Maluaga or Cushing in that order.

I agree, I also dont see all three DE's and Raji all gone by 11, there are too many good OT's that will be snatched early. Id love to have Curry, besides that I really want Orakpo first then Brown then Johnson, coushing and malauga are better than laurenitis will ever be. We really need a speed rusher as everyone knows and the only way we dont get a good one is if curry falls to us.

  12. IMO? You have never heard of that great St. Louis restaurant called IMO's pizza?? Man you are really missing out....

J/K..although there really is a st. louis restaurant chain called IMO's pizza(pretty good too...specialize in thin crust pizza), IMO stands for In My Opinion...you may also see another version IMHO, which stands for In My Humble Opinion...

    thanks buddy

  13. If you can do that with any accuracy I will be VERY impressed. over 90% of the Board don't get ANY correct.

I will bump this after draft day

I do this every year and I have never gotten 3 correct, That Freakin John McCargo selction cost me 5 million points on another board

By the way, NO fair editing after free agency, some of you can not be trusted (lol)

The drafted players do not need to be in rounds #1 and #2.

They only need to be drafted players by the Bills

I will bet you almost nobody will get one right!

    DIE HARD 1967

    Great Game!!!

    FA: Matt Birk

    Round 1: Orakpo

Late Round one: Coushing OLB USC
