Moulds and Winfield are my favorite Bills post the glory days....having said that, I think Reed was the best receiver in Bills history....Reed does not have the phsyical skills that Moulds did...very few ppl have those skills to this day...but Reed's toughness, route running, hands, ability to read coverages and get open...cannot be caught on a stat sheet.....As much as I like Lee Evans, I most certainly would not put him in their class....I honestly wouldnt put Evans much above Done Bebe Evans is as good as a deep threat as you can find and he has pretty good hands etc....but he is almost no existant under neath and its too easy to take him out of a game

Bills 3-4 Be Aggressive & Attacking
NoName replied to Mr. ChumChums's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Last time Bills used a bind but dont break 3-4, they finished with the #1 rated defense in the league....under Ted Cotrell -
Very Good Post!!! I can't argue with anything you said.

What are you guys talking about?? Reading these post, you would think Whitner wasn't even worthy of playing in the NFL.....Is he in the league of a Reed or the other guys of course not....but the guy is a good Safety......I don't recall him costing us games....or getting beat often....I don't get it....you guys want to thrown him under the bus but a guy like Pusluszny (who is always chasing guys down the field after they have passed the 2nd level of defense) isn't given much heat.....I dont know about you, but if I had a choice of keeping one of those guys on my team (not thinking about depth), I am taking Whitner......If you compare Whitner with Byrd, Byrd obviously makes the game changing plays with the interceptions...but aside from that, What does Byrd do better than Whitner???? I'll tell you....nothing For some reason, I just think Bills fans do not like Whitner....I saw the same treatment with McGahee (who was a good back 1,000 yd season), Lynch (good back 1,000 yd season) etc... But guys like Schobel (look at his production numbers), Posluszny (look at his numbers) aren't criticized nearly as much I just think of players don't fit a certain image, Bills fans are much more critical I am not saying that Whitner has played the part of a 11th overall pick....but the guy certainly has talent and is far from a liability on the field....when you look at our roster, what we need is talent....we aren't a position to be cherry picking....you put Whitner in a defense that can better utilize his talents and I think he is more productive....not pro bowl productive but I think he would be more productive The problem for Whitner is that he is an undersized SS.....He is a SS in the body of a FS or CB

Meredith is the LT of the future?????? Wow....We really do have too much time on our hands

I am sure I will get roasted for this one, but I really like Kevin Kolb as well.....if it costs a 1 and 4, I would pull the trigger......UNLESS....the Bills have a shot at a top flight college qb this year.....I also like Todd Collins (only if the OL is taken care of as he has zero mobility)....lastly, I like Vick Kolb, my first pick, will only be effective if the OL is taken care of. One thing ppl are forgetting is this: Our OL isn't as bad as you think.....they are just beaten up with injuries more than anything Next year, you start an OL with LT Bell LG Levitre C Wood RG Incognito RT Butler or you put Hangartner in and take out Incognito...this would be a solid, young OL.......If they can get a top flight LT (via draft or fa) then you are cooking So imagine that OL and Kolb throwing behind it....and I like our chances

so if I am understanding you right, you had NFL Sunday Ticket only via Directv without having to subscribe to any additional packages??? If so, you are very very lucky. I wouldn't have let that go. Because they don't offer that to anyone. Having said all that, you cannot get the Bills game on Dish Net unless you live in the Western New York Area or Detroit area. If you are high enough in the northern part of the country then you might have some options with Bell Express but other wise, you are of luck. Those channels that you mentioned are usually not open anyway (unless your FTA) and the Bills games are not defaulted to those channels any how

MIKE VICK IN BUFFALO.....WHAT???? No, not right now
NoName replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was just about to post it......I can't believe it....I dont know what to think about it -
Yeah I thought Hangartner had some good games ...I can't remember the last time I thought a Bills center had a good game....he's had some not so games as well but he is an upgrade over what we had

I would like folks opinion on how we fix LT and QB

Assuming talent is a constant: 1st round LT 2nd round Guard or Center Unless there is an opportunity to get Bradford at a value -
I would like folks opinion on how we fix LT and QB
NoName replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is an easy one.....Teams are built from the inside out......it really doesn't matter who we have for our QB......the offesnive line needs more talent.....people ask, why is it that the Bills looked so good against the Pats for week 1....the biggest reason is because, our starting offensive line played the whole game ......this was the first and only time our projected starting ol played together for an entire game.....looked at how our offense looked in that game....we were all ready to tip our hats to Van Pill .......having said that, the most recent draft was the first I time I can remember since I've been a Bills fan (1990) that we drafted two offensive lineman in the first two rounds of the draft.......Think about it, in the last 10 years, we drafted one lineman in the first two rounds of the draft (not including this years draft)......we absolutely must invest in the OL, we need to walk away from next years' draft with a stud tackle drafted in the 1st or 2nd round....also, if we could get anothoer stud OG in the first or second round so we can move Wood to Center that would be even better......until the offensive line gets fixed, we will suck......we have talent at every skill position, we just need OLine talent.......the only way I would draft a QB is if Sam Bradford falls to us in the first round...other than that, I wouldn't think of drafting a QB early in this draft...... I dont think the Bills should get rid of T Edwards.....who else can we "realistically" get thats going to be substantially better....I just think we need a change of offensive philosophy....Edwards, should be more of a game manager....we are asking too much out of our QB's.....our style of offense should be more of a smash mouth / play action pass attack...this would allow us to play to the strength of our offense (RB's) and get Evans more action in the deep passing game..drafting two stud OL's in next year's draft will go a long way in establishing that
