  1. Not close at all. Lil Antoine showed ZERO playmaking skills and mediocre coverage skills during his time in Buffalo. To his credit, he was very good in run support, and also served as a role model to all fellow midget Bills fans who ever dreamed of making it in the NFL... but he was no Nate.

They both play in the NFC last year right?????

Who was selected to the pro bowl by his peers last year?

  2. Bob James

if you have to go back to Bob James (and I have no idea who that is) it tells me that obviously Winfield isn't as average as the other guy is making him out to be

and good post on Sammy Morris...I forgot about him

I was going to throw in Jonas Jennings but he isn't a contributor as of late

I guess my feeling is if we are letting all of these players go, you want to have a feeling that you are going to get equal or comparable value coming back via FA

  3. I typed that list really quick....I had to hurry up....the point that I wanted to discuss was this.......I just notice that when I watch some games with my girlfriend, I am always saying "oh yeah, he played for us a few years ago" and then she says " why isn't he playing for us now, he has to be better than who we currently have on our roster at that position" and I am thinking...I dont know why.....and when I see how they dropped walker and bring in washoffs from the Lions and it just makes me wonder........now for the list

clements, greer and winfield are better than any CB on our roster (Mcgee vs Greer is close maybe slight edge to greer)

spikes is a shell but please dont tell me he is not better than ellison

crowell WAS better than ellison as well, I honestly don't know what he is doing in Tampa but I just ASSUMED that he was doing fine but if he isn't doing well, I am sure someone will be quick to take a chance to point it out

Jason Peters was the best tackle we had since our super bowl days

Pat Williams was the best DT we had since Ted Washington

Leonhard and Scott ...no loss either way

the question I am trying to raise is this, are we pushing more talent out the door than we are bringing in? Look at some of the players that left our team and compare it with some of our recent FA pickups....seems to be not even close...and this is where we are different from the better teams.......it seems like we are just cheap...not so much poor talent evaluators...just cheap cheap cheap

and btw, that IDIOT that took a shot at Winfield is a fool.......name a CB better than Winfield that wore a Bills uniform??????

Clements mediocre???? IDK about that one....is he over paid? Yes ....mediocore....that's going overboard

  4. Antoine Winfield

    Nate Clements

    Takeo Spikes

    London Fletcher

    Pat Williams

    Jason Peters

    Leonhard

the OLB that went to Tampa Bay this year

All of these guys are making an impact with a current NFL team and are guys that the Bills didn't want to pay

Now think of this.....Trent Edwards was being protected yesterday, by a former 6th round pick who was cut by the LIONS a couple of years ago and a guy that they cut in camp and they brought back in Chambers

I am just getting the feeling that our Bills aren't really concerned with acuiring the best players....just making money

  5. roscoe and mckelvin are better returners than anybody we had in the 90's (sorry beebe).

But roscoe's not making that team as a receiver.

mckelvin could be the nickel (somebody else mentioned this too) and kick returner

I dont even want Mcelvin as a nickle on our current team.....kick return aside, what the hell has this guy shown as a CB??????.....IMO, He is hovering around being Erik Flowers, Mike Williams territory.......ok maybe no that bad but this guy isn't showing much....thank of Thomas Smith, Nate clemtents, and my fav, antione Winfield (former Bills 1st round DB's)and these guys are showed much more in their second season than Mcelvin

  6. Lynch...and its not that close....understand this...of the games that we won last year, who was the most valuable player on offense....most of the games it was Lynch.....Freddie is a great change of pace back and great 3rd down back but Lynch is the better back...I would like to see the carry ratio around 65 35 for lynch......Lynch is capable of producing several 100 yard games....I just can't see Jackson putting up 100 yd games running the ball.....

btw, there is no way in hell Jackson hits the whole harder and faster than Lynch...that is absolute nonsense...Jackson is the more patient runner and has the better vision...but he isn't going to break many tackles for u

If I were rating running backs and Adrian Peterson was like a 97 (out of 100) I would give Lynch like an 88 and Jackson like an 82

  7. Just f.y.i., T.O. could use a grammar lesson. As could many people.

"They need to better utilize ME and Lee" or "they need to better utilize Lee and ME." or, even better, "they need to better USE ME and LEE."

"myself" is a reflexive pronoun. The only person who can use "myself" is "me." Not "you" or "they." I use myself. You use yourself. He uses himself. Etc. I cant use yourself, and you cant use myself.

Many people say this to try to sound educated. But it really makes them sound worse. And "utilize" is just a fancy way to say "use." Again, tryin to sound more edumacated.

    Just my 45 cents.

As to the substance, T.O. should have kept his mouth shout about Leodis. I'm sure most of the locker room was thinking he should not have brought the ball out, but why does T.O. take it upon himself to mention it. It should be handled in-house.

You could use a lesson as well

  8. Is there ANYONE on this board that would rather have last years Centers over Hangarter? Wood will be the Center in the future, for now Hangarter is an UPGRADE over what we had.

I noticed Hangartner is more mobile...other than that, I haven't notice much of a difference....hopefully Wood can take over there next year so we can get Butler back to RG

  9. WHY WHY WHY is everyone trying to send Levitre to the bench????? I do not understand.....if we got Runyan why would he send him to RT....dont u think that if we needed a RT we would have kept walker????? give me abreak....Levitre had one really bad play other than that...how is he the weak link on the line??? give me a break

  10. the botton line is that when a team selects the wrong QB in the 1st round, it sets them back many years. When you look at Buffalo not only selecting Losman, but giving away another pick to get him. You have to say that we are still feeling the effects from that decision. Going forward, we will know this year of Trent Edwards is the man for the job or not. There is good first round talent at the QB position for the 2010 draft. The talent evaluators will have to get it right this time.

  11. Personally, I would do whatever I had to do (legally) to get a cheap price with DTV. Because at the end of they day, they will do whatever it is they have to do to get as much from you as they can. They aren't offering you free Sunday Ticket and all of these other discounts because they like you. Take a look at their cost to provide service to us versus what they charge us and then you'll see what I am talking about. Cable/Sat TV is an oligopoly imo.....

  12. We watch the games on CBS. The NBC, ABC and CBS stations are Detroit stations. The FOX station is Rochester. We have a channel called Global TV and they broadcast the Bills games in Canada. So even when the game is on CBS, we get Global's commercials, etc.

    I also have NFLN.

Does Global TV show all of the Bills games? Also, does CBS in Detroit default to all of the Bills games? Or is there another team nearby that it defaults to

  13. How many current Bills players were on the roster when Van Pill was our QB

As I am typing this, I heard on ESPN news that Van Pelt is a Co-Offensive Coordinator with Eric Studesville....If I am remembering right didn't Studesville call plays before? I think under Mularkey

Speaking of Mularkey, think about this, how often is it that a rookie head coach leaves a head coaching job under his own will......Did Mularkey see something?????
