  1. Last time I checked, I think the Bills save 4.3 million if they cut him Edit: it's 2.2 million in dead money, cutting Shawne would free up 3 - 3.5 million in cap space in 2012!
  2. Example: Lets say if the Bills cut Edwards, McGee, Spencer Johnson, Merriman & Thigpen! They could save almost $17 million and have close to 40 million to work with in free agency
  3. From everyone who has played under or coached with, they say great things about the 'stache'! He could be one of the better defensive coordinators we've had in along time. I wish him luck and hope we get the best overall player
  4. The scouting combine used to be THE main attraction for a player to showcase their skill set and abilities! But, with expansion of pro team scouting departments within the past 20 years--along with innovative advancments in technology--pro teams have all the tools needed to evaluate players before the combine even takes place! I remember reading a story about NFL scouts in the 1980's preparing for the combine, where they would sit and watch college games in person or evaluate film for upwards of 15 hours on an old projector in some hotel room. They talked about lugging the projector around, because most rooms did not have VHS or Betamax...and they would pull the sheets off the bed and tack them to the wall! Fast forward almost 20+ years and scouting a college player is almost limitless! Today, the combine is still key in the decision process of where a player will be placed on team draft boards! True, it is not what it used to be, but I still think it benefits teams in evaluation. One thing I'd like to point out is the advancement in the mental aspect of the game, I want to say teams utilize the combine more for intangibles than in the past!
  5. I believe you to a point, but we will see if Manning gets his bonus money or not!
  6. Today, Randy Moss turned 35 years old and DID NOT play in 2011 and played on 3 teams in 2010! Plus, Hines Ward will be 36 in March...and hasn't had a decent season since 2009! So, hopefully there will be no 'Buddy Git'r Done!'
  7. I've had a few beers...I'm just trying to figure out who "Lin" is?
  8. I say, the Bills will always be beatable as long as they have Fitz at QB! *refers to the past 3 seasons*
  9. Wannestache could be a good candidate at DC! *rim shot*
  10. Franchise for a WR is 13mil...just my assumption, I think the Bills do not want to use the tag!
  11. I just want this team to win...but, 12+years with no playoffs make me think 13+ is attainable
  12. What we do know is the Bills are committed to Fitz and loosing in 2012!
  13. I read about this a few days ago. I wish him the best of luck!
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NYbSXLTgno&feature=related Let him in!
  15. I'd pay top dollar for a Bills Super Bowl 25 Champs t-shirt!
  16. The 2011 season ended after the Super Bowl... Meaning, in 2011...Statistically...Gronkowski had one of the greatest seasons ever put together for a pro football TE--ever! IMO, homeboy deserves to have a good time! It's either dance half naked to LMFAO or feel the wrath of Gisele
  17. Sadly, he deserves it! But, the NFL is a business and the Bills have the upper hand in the negotiations, because of Freddie being already under contract in 2012. His injury also plays a factor, if he comes back strong in 2012--quite possibly Freddie could get an extension and/or a hefty paycheck.
  18. Sadly, this organization is not bright enough to understand how to win in the NFL. As a fan, I want this team to succeed! But, based on results, I'm expecting another lull free agency period with a sprinkle of project players being selected via draft. I hope this organization proves me wrong! Go Bills!
  19. true, but buffalo is not the only franchise to only be good for a decade...several teams have only had a few great years... This link shows the overall records of all franchises...
  20. true, the ownership does have a key role in the floundering of this franchise
  21. I'm in for going after Mario Williams, but doubt the Texans let him hit FA...plus, I'm into the Vincent Jackson comments from Chris Brown
  22. That, plus the Bills should try to get a slot WR and a decent TE...I want to say they havent had a strong presence at both spots in almost a decade or more!
