  1. This is as bold as I will get...As a fan, I will not point to Dareus as a disappointment/nor will I label him as a bust in 2012. 1) Wannstedt is the DC 2) Gailey is our HC 3) his brother was murdered last month Give him a year mend....supply him with a DC who has a defensive scheme that's not outdated. In 2013, I expect him to rebound.
  2. As an armchair Bills GM, I think he would make a great candidate. He has Toronto ties, "Buddy and Doris Ryan divorced in 1966, and the Ryan boys moved to Canada for eight years while their mom worked for the University of Toronto. But football was never far from the minds of Buddy's twins, Rex and Rob, even after they were kicked off their football team because they hit too hard." from an article from Elizabeth Merrill in 2010. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/2009/columns/story?page=hotread19/rexryan I'll buy a pitcher of Labatt ditto
  3. If it is Bill Polian as GM a) Bill loves retread coaches b) Bill loves to draft QB's early
  4. He has Wannstedt as a DC He has Gailey as a HC His brother was killed 2 months ago I'm giving him a break in 2012
  5. On any given Sunday, Yes. However, we have one of the worst run defenses in the game vs. Arian Foster and one of the worst pass defense vs. Andre Johnson. I forgot to mention, Wade Phillips is pretty smart and could figure out that Fitzpatrick can't throw over 20 yards
  6. In 2011, Dareus was drafted as a DE in a 3-4 In 2012, he plays DT in a 4-3 In 2012, his brother was murdered I'm just saying, he shouldn't be called a bust in 2012
  7. Probably, one of the greatest to ever play the game.
  8. Easy, when they decide to draft a QB of the future...when they've consitently picked in the top 15 over the past 13 years
  9. Chan is in the last of his contract. So, there is light at the end of the tunnel. We've retread on some coaches and misfired. I think we need a young fiery type
  10. I'm defending him on this one. He is as frustrated as we are. It's a team effort and the team right now--stinks!
  11. this was when the bills were relevant and made the playoffs consecutively :o/
  12. It evolves. Sadly, after reading the article above...it reminded me how coaches have to evolve with the game. I remember reading an article in ESPN magazine when the days of the pocket passers started to fade. The article was written during the Alex Van Pelt years and demonstrated the stats of the new crop of how defenses were created to stop the likes of "the pocket passer" and focus on a new crop of QB--like, Vick. Defenses became bigger and faster. Schemes were enhanced and masked to confuse the pocket passers--like, Marino & Bledsoe. The game evolved so much in the early 2000's, that NFL teams wanted QB's who can run/pass. The run on QB's who can maneuver in the pocket were/still are a viable option. Sadly, Wannestache's defensive scheme peaked during the late 90's and early 2000's, and his coaching has suffered as a result of the evolution of the game.
  13. Chan is in his final year of his contract and odds are Nix is jumping ship at seasons end... Enter the Whaley Years
  14. Chan is in the last year of his contract
  15. We suck so bad, that we will win enough games to make us miss out on a top QB in the draft--again!
  16. +1 for telling how it is! (referring to the step #1 in recovery is to admit the problem)
  17. Captain, I love your posts and I understand what your saying, but this is his best stat game he has had in a while. I can't blame him for this loss, but he is a culprit and did give the Titans the ball back. Your post gave me an understanding, that I am done silver spooning this guy. Fitz is 13-27 as the Bills starter and I want to see something different. He is not a Rodgers or a Brees. He is what he is. The majority of his passes today were in the 7 yard range. Agreed, again...I can't see him competing with top QB's. Rodgers and Brees can manage games and throw 5 TD's and lead a 2 minute drill. I've hardly seen a Fitz 2 minute drill being a success. Fitz is a career backup, but he is the starter--but, for how much longer? Its only a matter of time, when the losing get too much. He has big issues managing games and has issues throwing over 15 yards--unless it's to a wide open receiver who has to adjust to underthrown/overthrown passes. I'm awaiting to see yet another Fitz's after game press conference...where in his monotone voice will describe--yet another loss under his belt and how the team needs to see this loss as a learning expierence.
  18. We tend to forget this is classic Fitz. From 2009-2012... I wish I could dive into every game and point out the positives of Fitz. But, I'd rather not waste my time--because, the majority of his games ARE NOT positive memories!
  19. Thanking Ralph & Co. for keeping Fitz as the starter in Buffalo
  20. I now can say, I support the end Fitz in Buffalo group now!
