Yes, this is how I meant it. I was going to compare Welker and Reed but I can't really see us using anyone like the Pats use Welker. So I went with similar value to their respective teams.

They did beat us twice last year with Favre. Favre looked like a guy who stayed in football a little too long, IMO. I'm not talking Willie Mays too long, but a shell of his old self. Even his teamates have taken a few shots at him after the season ended. Cutler would be an upgrade over a broken down Favre and certainly an upgrade over what they have now. Lets hope it doesn't happen.

No one getting charged with marijuana possession is hardly proof that marijuana wasn't present or being smoked. Little amounts of pot are very often just seized and given a warning. Does anybody think Poz is athletic enough to play outside? I'm not trying to be a smart azz, I really don't know. The other thing about this is Maualuga's coverage skills. He's a big LB and I have heard mixed reviews on his ability in coverage and that is an important skill for a MLB in our Timid 2 defense. Another example of why we miss out on good players because we have to find specifics for this junk defense.

I would have to go with Jennings. I find it much easier to watch a third round pick in street clothes, than a first rounder who can't beat out Kyle Williams.

Honestly, the Pats* dynasty has very little to do with these over the hill free agents you speak of. Randy Moss and Wes Welker were free agents and ultra effective but hardly over the hill. Who do you think was brought in over the hill and really contributed? The story with NE is always the same. They are stacked in the trenches and have a HOF QB who remains competitive despite his success. Then you sprinkle in solid free agents who are still youthfull, like Adalius Thomas, Welker, Moss, Stallworth, Dillon, Colvin, and possibly Peppers. Personally, I doubt Galloway is even their number three wideout this year.

I agree Everette Brown is going to be a force. I think it's a three man race between Pettigrew, Cushing, and OL.

I feel bad for All people involved in this horrible accident. Driving under the influence is a fairly common infraction and I have made the mistake myself. With that being said we have laws in place for a reason. As an adult you should be aware of the consequences of your actions. Dante's past might have been troubling but this doesn't change the fact he is responsible for the death of an innocent man. I don't see your suggestion of taking a year off from playing football as a suitable punishment. Honestly, I just think your trying to stir the pot anyway.
